Claims
- 1. A transmission control system for a vehicle having an engine with an output shaft, a torque converter connected to said output shaft of the engine and having an output shaft, a stepped automatic transmission mechanism connected to said output shaft of the torque converter, said stepped automatic transmission mechanism having an output shaft and a clutch for engaging and disengaging a plurality of gear shafts and input/output shafts to change a shift change ratio according to different changing modes, each of said changing modes comprising a chance between a particular pair of shift chance ratios, and a driving axle connected to said output shaft of the stepped automatic transmission mechanism, comprising:
- shift signal output means for delivering a shift signal which indicates a shift change ratio of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism;
- input torque detecting means for detecting an input torque of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism;
- shift start recognition means for recognizing an actual mechanical shift start timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism;
- engaging pressure control means for changing an engaging pressure of said clutch in accordance with a manipulation variable inputted thereto;
- input torque-manipulation variable relationship storing means for storing, for every changing mode of said shift change ratios, an input torque-manipulation variable relationship between said input torque and said manipulation variable for a shift change ratio indicated by every shift signal; and
- manipulation variable calculation means operative when said shift signal from said shift signal output means changes and said actual mechanical shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, for calculating a manipulation variable under shifting corresponding to said input torque during a period from when said shift signal changes until said shift start timing, by utilizing said input torque-manipulation variable relationship corresponding to a changing mode of the shift change ratio indicated by the shift signal, so as to deliver the manipulation variable under shifting to said engaging pressure control means.
- 2. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 1, wherein said manipulation variable calculation means is operative during a period from when a shift change is completed, until said shift start timing is recognized once again, to calculate a manipulation variable out of shifting corresponding to existing input torque by utilizing said input torque-manipulation variable relationship corresponding to a shift change ratio indicated by the shift signal, so as to deliver the manipulation variable out of shifting to said engaging pressure control means.
- 3. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 1, wherein said manipulation variable calculation means is operative when said shift signal from said shift signal output means changes, to calculate a mean value of said input torque during a predetermined period from when the shift signal changes, before said shift start timing, and when said shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, utilizes said input torque-manipulation variable relationship corresponding to a mode of a shift change ratio indicated by the shift signal, so as to calculate a manipulation variable under shifting corresponding to the mean value of said input torque.
- 4. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 2, wherein said manipulation variable calculation means is operative when said shift signal from said shift signal output means changes, to calculate a mean value of said input torque during a predetermined period from when the shift signal changes, before said shift start timing, and when said shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, utilizes said input torque-manipulation variable relationship corresponding to a changing mode of a shift change ratio indicated by the shift signal, so as to calculate a manipulation variable under shifting corresponding to the mean value of said input torque.
- 5. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising shift end recognition means for recognizing a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, wherein said manipulation variable calculating means is operative when said shift end timing is recognized by said shift end recognition means, to change said manipulation variable under shifting in a predetermined manner to obtain a shift end manipulation variable, so as to deliver the shift end manipulation variable to said engaging pressure control means.
- 6. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 2, further comprising shift end recognition means for recognizing a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, wherein said manipulation variable calculating means is operative when said shift end timing is recognized by said shift end recognition means, to change said manipulation variable under shifting in a predetermined manner to obtain a shift end manipulation variable, so as to deliver the shift end manipulation variable to said engaging pressure control means.
- 7. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 3, further comprising shift end recognition means for recognizing a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, wherein said manipulation variable calculating means is operative when said shift end timing is recognized by said shift end recognition means, to change said manipulation variable under shifting in a predetermined manner to obtain a shift end manipulation variable, so as to deliver the shift end manipulation variable to said engaging pressure control means.
- 8. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 4, further comprising shift end recognition means for recognizing a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, wherein said manipulation variable calculating means is operative when said shift end timing is recognized by said shift end recognition means, to change said manipulation variable under shifting in a predetermined manner to obtain a shift end manipulation variable, so as to deliver the shift end manipulation variable to said engaging pressure control means.
- 9. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 5, wherein said shift end recognition means includes shift end recognitive parameter detecting means for detecting one of an r.p.m. ratio of said torque converter and a rate of change of the r.p.m. ratio, and recognizes a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, in accordance with a change of the shift end recognitive parameter detected by said shift end recognitive parameter detecting means.
- 10. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 6, wherein said shift end recognition means includes shift end recognitive parameter detecting means for detecting one of an r.p.m. ratio of said torque converter and a rate of change of the r.p.m. ratio, and recognizes a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, in accordance with a change of the shift end recognitive parameter detected by said shift end recognitive parameter detecting means.
- 11. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 7, wherein said shift end recognition means includes shift end recognitive parameter detecting means for detecting one of an r.p.m. ratio of said torque converter and a rate of change of the r.p.m. ratio, and recognizes a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, in accordance with a change of the shift end recognitive parameter detected by said shift end recognitive parameter detecting means.
- 12. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 8, wherein said shift end recognition means includes shift end recognitive parameter detecting means for detecting one of an r.p.m. ratio of said torque converter and a rate of change of the r.p.m. ratio, and recognizes a shift end timing which is earlier than an actual mechanical shift end timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism, in accordance with a change of the shift end recognitive parameter detected by said shift end recognitive parameter detecting means.
- 13. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 14. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 2, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 15. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 3, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 16. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 4, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 17. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 5, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 18. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 6, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 19. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 7, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 20. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 8, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 21. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 9, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 22. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 10, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 23. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 11, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 24. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 12, further comprising:
- axle torque detecting means for detecting an axle torque of said driving axle;
- learning-correctional deviation calculation means for calculating a deviation between one of said axle torque at a time when said shift signal changes and said axle torque during a time period from when the shift signal changes until said actual mechanical shift start timing on the one hand, and said axle torque under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start time on the other hand; and
- relationship-learning correction means for correcting said input torque-manipulation variable relationship to decrease said deviation calculated by said learning-correctional deviation calculation means.
- 25. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 13,wherein said axle torque detecting means comprises:
- shift change ratio under shifting setting means for setting a shift change ratio under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism in accordance with a change of said shift signal; and
- axle torque calculating means for calculating said axle torque under shifting by multiplying said undergoing shift change ratio, determined by said undergoing shift change ratio setting means, by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means, when said actual mechanical shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, and calculating said axle torque out of shifting by multiplying said shift change ratio indicated by said shift signal at this time by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means when a shift change has been completed.
- 26. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 14, wherein said axle torque detecting means comprises:
- shift change ratio under shifting setting means for setting a shift change ratio under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism in accordance with a change of said shift signal; and
- axle torque calculating means for calculating said axle torque under shifting by multiplying said undergoing shift change ratio, determined by said undergoing shift change ratio setting means, by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means, when said actual mechanical shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, and calculating said axle torque out of shifting by multiplying said shift change ratio indicated by said shift signal at this time by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means when a shift change has been completed.
- 27. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 15, wherein said axle torque detecting means comprises:
- shift change ratio under shifting setting means for setting a shift change ratio under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism in accordance with a change of said shift signal; and
- axle torque calculating means for calculating said axle torque under shifting by multiplying said undergoing shift change ratio, determined by said undergoing shift change ratio setting means, by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means, when said actual mechanical shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, and calculating said axle torque out of shifting by multiplying said shift change ratio indicated by said shift signal at this time by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means when a shift change has been completed.
- 28. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 16, wherein said axle torque detecting means comprises:
- shift change ratio under shifting setting means for setting a shift change ratio under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism in accordance with a change of said shift signal; and
- axle torque calculating means for calculating said axle torque under shifting by multiplying said undergoing shift change ratio, determined by said undergoing shift change ratio setting means, by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means, when said actual mechanical shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, and calculating said axle torque out of shifting by multiplying said shift change ratio indicated by said shift signal at this time by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means when a shift change has been completed.
- 29. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 17, wherein said axle torque detecting means comprises:
- shift change ratio under shifting setting means for setting a shift change ratio under shifting after said actual mechanical shift start timing of said stepped automatic transmission mechanism in accordance with a change of said shift signal; and
- axle torque calculating means for calculating said axle torque under shifting by multiplying said undergoing shift change ratio, determined by said undergoing shift change ratio setting means, by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means, when said actual mechanical shift start timing is recognized by said shift start recognition means, and calculating said axle torque out of shifting by multiplying said shift change ratio indicated by said shift signal at this time by said input torque detected by said input torque detecting means when a shift change has been completed.
- 30. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 1, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 31. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 2, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 32. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 3, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 33. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 23, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 34. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 5, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 35. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 6, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 36. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 7, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said output shaft of said engine; and
- input torque calaculating means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
- 37. A transmission control system for a vehicle according to claim 8, wherein said input torque detecting means comprises:
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for detecting r.p.m. of said input shaft of said engine; and
- engine r.p.m. detecting means for utilizing torque converter characteristics of said torque converter to calculate said input torque in accordance with said r.p.m. detected by said engine r.p.m. detecting means.
