Claims
- 1. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head, comprising:a base plate; a nozzle plate defining a plurality of nozzle apertures; and a vibration unit including a plurality of piezoelectric vibrators having electrodes, which are disposed at given intervals so as to vibrate in a plane direction of said base plate, and wherein a lamination direction of said electrodes of said piezoelectric vibrators and a lamination direction of piezoelectric material thereof, is perpendicular to a vibrating direction.
- 2. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 1, wherein a surface of said base plate is perpendicular to said nozzle plate.
- 3. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 1, wherein said piezoelectric vibrators are contiguously attached to a surface of said base plate, and said surface of said base plate is perpendicular to said lamination direction.
- 4. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 1, wherein said lamination direction is in parallel with a surface of said nozzle plate.
- 5. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head, comprising:a base plate; a vibration unit which includes a plurality of piezoelectric vibrators which are formed of a piezoelectric plate fixed with one end to said base plate; and a vibration plate opposed to and driven by other ends of said piezoelectric vibrators, wherein said piezoelectric vibrators are separated from ink reservoirs which communicate with a nozzle aperture of an array of nozzle apertures, and wherein said piezoelectric plate is fixedly attached to a surface of said base plate which extends in a direction towards said vibration plate.
- 6. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 5, wherein a lamination direction of electrodes of said piezoelectric vibrators and a piezoelectric material is perpendicular to an ejection direction of ink droplets.
- 7. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 5, wherein concave portions are formed in said vibration plate in a vicinity of a portion where said vibration plate contacts said piezoelectric vibrators.
- 8. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 5, further comprising:a nozzle plate defining a plurality of nozzle apertures, wherein said piezoelectric vibrators are disposed at given intervals so as to vibrate in a plane direction of said base plate, and wherein said piezoelectric vibrators are offset with respect to said nozzle apertures, and said nozzle apertures eject ink in the vibration direction of said piezoelectric vibrators.
- 9. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 8, wherein a lamination direction of electrodes of said piezoelectric vibrators and a piezoelectric material, is perpendicular to a vibrating direction.
- 10. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 8, wherein said piezolectric plate is laminated parallel with a surface of said base plate.
- 11. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head according to claim 5, wherein said surface of said base plate is perpendicular to said vibration plate.
- 12. A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head, comprising:a base plate; a vibration unit which includes a plurality of piezoelectric vibrators which are formed of a piezoelectric plate fixed with one end to said base plate; and a vibration plate opposed to and driven by other ends of said piezoelectric vibrators, wherein said piezoelectric vibrators are separated from ink reservoirs which communicate with respective nozzle apertures of an array of nozzle apertures, and wherein said piezoelectric plate extends in parallel with a surface of said base plate, and said piezoelectric vibrators are disposed at given intervals so as to vibrate in a plane direction of said base plate, and wherein concave portions are formed in said vibration plate in a vicinity of a portion where said vibration plate contacts said piezoelectric vibrators.
