Claims
- 1. A method for cleaning soiled fabrics comprising contacting said fabrics with a cleaning composition comprising:
- (a) at least about 0.1%, by weight, of 1,2-octanediol;
- (b) at least about 4%, by weight, of an organic cleaning solvent;
- (c) at least about 60%, by weight, of water;
- (d) a polyacrylic acid-based emulsifier; and
- (e) a detersive surfactant which is a member selected from the group consisting of ethoxylated alcohols, magnesium alkyl ethoxy sulfates, amine oxides and mixtures thereof.
- 2. A method according to claim 1 wherein said cleaning composition comprises from about 0.2% to about 10%, by weight, of 1,2-octanediol and from about 60% to about 95%, by weight, of water.
- 3. A method according to claim 1 wherein said cleaning solvent is a member selected from the group consisting of the monomethyl-, monoethyl-, monopropyl-, and monobutylethers of propoxy propanol, and mixtures thereof.
- 4. A method according to claim 1 further comprising an integral substrate releasably containing or carrying said cleaning composition.
- 5. A method according to claim 4 wherein said substrate is lint-resistant.
- 6. A method according to claim 4 wherein said substrate is in the form of a single-use sheet.
- 7. A method according to claim 1 which is conducted in a hot air clothes dryer.
