This application relates in general to an article of manufacture for providing a personal hygiene aid, and more specifically, to an article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush.
Many people, especially travelers, may be unable to shower and wash their hair for a significant period of time. During this time period, these individuals may need an opportunity to clean themselves up as they go through their day. Additionally, most individuals require occasionally to comb and brush their hair to make it appear in an organized state throughout a day. By itself, brushing an individual's hair does not necessarily clean one's hair.
Therefore, a need exists for an article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush. The present invention attempts to address the limitations and deficiencies in prior solutions according to the principles and example embodiments disclosed herein.
In accordance with the present invention, the above and other problems are solved by providing an article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush according to the principles and example embodiments disclosed herein.
In one embodiment, the present invention is an article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush. The hairbrush has a brush body having bristles extending from a first side, a bristles cover configured to be coupled to the brush body, the bristles cover having a plurality of access holes permitting the bristles to pass through, a storage cavity within a second side, the storage cavity being configured to hold moist towelettes for insertion between the brush body and the bristles cover permitting a moist towelette to extend through the holes in the brush body cover around the bristles, a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity.
In another aspect of the present invention, the bristles cover further comprising connecting tabs that engage connecting slots in the brush body to hold the bristle cover in place.
In another aspect of the present invention, the hairbrush further comprises a rear cover enclosing the storage cavity.
In another aspect of the present invention, the hairbrush further comprises a handle extending from a bottom edge of the brush body for holding the hairbrush when used.
In another aspect of the present invention, the hairbrush further comprises a soft grip sleeve configured to cover the handle.
In another aspect of the present invention, the rear cover provides an airtight seal to the storage cavity for keeping moist towelettes moist until use.

The terms “individual,” and “user” refer to an entity, e.g., a human, using an article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush associated with the invention. The term user herein refers to one or more users.
The term “invention” or “present invention” refers to the invention being applied for via the patent application with the title “Dry Shampoo Hairbrush.” Invention may be used interchangeably with brush.
In general, the present disclosure relates to an article of manufacture for providing a dry shampoo hairbrush according to the present invention. To better understand the present invention,
The dry shampoo hairbrush 100 comprises a brush head 101, a bristles cover 102, a rear cover 103, a handle sleeve 104, a storage cavity 105, and a handle 110. The brush head 101 possesses brush bristles 111a-n on a front side and a storage cavity 105 on a rear side. A bristles cover 102 attaches to the brush head 101 over the brush bristles 111a-n. The brush bristles access holes 112a-n provide the brush bristles 111a-n with an ability to pass through the bristles cover 102. The location of the brush bristles access holes 112a-n on the bristles cover 102 correspond to individual brush bristles 111a-n on the brush head 101. The handle sleeve 104 slides onto the handle 110 to provide a user with a comfortable grip.
The bristles cover 102 and rear cover 103 are mechanically coupled to the brush head 101 in which connecting tabs on the bristles cover 102 engage coupling slots on the brush head 101. The bristles cover 102 and rear cover 103 may be easily removed and snapped onto the brush head 101 as needed by the user. The rear cover 103 is sized to completely enclose the storage cavity 105. The storage cavity 105 is some embodiments may come with an airtight seal to keep the towelettes stored therein moist until used.
A user stores disposable hand dry shampoo impregnated toweletts (not shown) into the storage cavity 105 and attaches the rear cover 103 to keep the wipes moist. To use the dry shampoo hairbrush 100, the user removes a wipe from the storage cavity 105 and replaces the rear cover 103. The single wipe is placed over the brush bristles 111a-n after the bristles cover 102 has been removed. Once the wipe is in place, the bristles cover 102 is reattached to the brush head 101.
The installed wipe will encase the individual brush bristles 111a-n as both the wipe and the brush bristles 111a-n protrude through the brush bristles access holes 112a-n. The dry shampoo hairbrush 100 may be used as any other hairbrush to pass the brush bristles 111a-n covered by the moist wipe through a client's hair. Repeated action of the brush bristles 111a-n that are covered by the moist wipe will clean the user's hair without the need for water and shampoo. Once the user has completed the cleaning, the bristles cover 102 may be removed to gain access to the now dirty wipe for discarding.
Even though particular combinations of features are recited in the present application, these combinations are not intended to limit the disclosure of the invention. In fact, many of these features may be combined in ways not specifically recited in this application. In other words, any of the features mentioned in this application may be included in this invention in any combination or combinations to allow the functionality required for the desired operations.
No element, act, or instruction used in the present application should be construed as critical or essential to the invention unless explicitly described as such. Further, the phrase “based on” is intended to mean “based, at least in part, on” unless explicitly stated otherwise.
