Claims
- 1. A dual configuration storage container for flat cards having a rectangular surface, and length and width dimensions, comprising:
- a. a rectangular box having a rectangular base surface, a rectangular side surface, a rectangular rear surface with opposing, spaced apart rectangular end surfaces and a top surface movable between open and closed positions, the top surface being provided by a cover which is oriented parallel to but spaced apart from the base surface when in the closed position, wherein the box defines a rectangular internal storage compartment having a first storage volume defined by its length, width and height; and
- b. a removable insert dimensioned to fit snugly within the box internal storage compartment for blocking access to a portion of the storage compartment and providing an access opening having dimensions approximately equal to or greater than the dimensions of the cards, said insert further providing a base surface elevated above the box base surface, said insert base surface being positioned to store at least one card thereon with the card surface oriented parallel to the box base surface, the distance between the base surface of the box and the top surface of the box being substantially equal to one of the dimensions of the cards whereby the cover confines a plurality of cards stored upright in the box following removal of said insert.
