Claims
- 1. A method of dispensing fuel comprising:opening a two-stage valve partially; forcing open a secondary piston in a dual piston valve in response to opening the two-stage valve partially; opening the two-stage valve fully; and forcing open a primary piston in the dual piston valve in response to opening the two-stage valve fully; wherein fuel flows through the two-stage valve and dual piston valve to be dispensed to a consumer.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising moving a position sensible element when forcing open the secondary piston.
- 3. The method of claim 2, further comprising sensing movement of the position sensible element.
- 4. The method of claim 3, further comprising reporting to a control system information relating to the movement of the position sensible element.
- 5. The method of claim 4, further comprising ignoring an input from a flow meter when sensing movement of the position sensible element indicates that the secondary piston is closed.
- 6. The method of claim 1 further comprising associating a relief valve with the dual piston valve.
- 7. The method of claim 1 further comprising opening a relief valve within the primary piston of the dual piston valve.
