Abstract
A dual-purpose storage bag includes a first bag body and a second bag body that share a common bottom surface and connect to each other in opposite directions, and the first bag body is formed by a mesh fabric, and the second bag body is formed by a woven fabric with a covering function and concealed and stored at the bottom of the first bag body. After being unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body, the second bag body can be folded in an opposite direction and wrapped around and combined with the first bag body to cover the objects contained in the first bag body, so as to achieve the effect of protecting personal privacy.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a dual-purpose storage bag, and more particularly to the dual-purpose storage bag with two bag bodies that share a common bottom surface and connect to each other in opposite directions, and the second bag body can be concealed and stored or unfolded, and then wrapped around the first bag body, so that users can selectively use the storage bag as a beach bag with a ventilation function or as a shopping bag with the function of covering the objects contained in the shopping bag to protect personal privacy.


BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Present existing beach bags are usually made of a mesh fabric which is woven into a bag body, so that when the beach bag is used on shores or beaches, the beach bag is breathable and allows air to pass through the hollow meshes of the mesh fabric, and the moisture inside the bag body can be ventilated. Towels, swimsuits and other items contained in the beach bag will not produce peculiar smells due to the heat, humidity, and unbreathable characteristic of the bag. In addition, most people will use an opaque shopping bag to carry various items in order to keep personal privacy and hide the shape of the items, and this kind of shopping bag usually has a bag body made of a woven or plastic fabric.


The aforementioned beach bag needs meshes for ventilation, and the shopping bag needs to conceal the objects contained in the bag body, and thus the beach bag and the shopping bag are bag bodies with completely different purposes. If the beach bag is used for shopping or carrying objects, the objects contained in the beach bag will be seen by others without any personal privacy at all. If the shopping bag is used to carry objects on seaside, the shopping bag without the ventilation function may produce peculiar smells due to the heat and humidity acted on the objects contained in the bag. Obviously, such application is inappropriate and inconvenient. Therefore, users must choose to carry a beach bag or a shopping bag according to the occasion of use and cannot use a dual-purpose storage bag with both functions of the beach bag and the shopping bag.


Surveys indicate that there are many kinds of bags with an expansion function on the market. In a related prior art such as U.S. Pat. No. 7,900,757, a secondary bag is detachably combined to the bottom of a primary bag body, so that a secondary bag can be used to protect personal privacy or to expand the volume of the bag, but the disadvantage of this patent is that the combination of the primary and secondary bags is inconvenient.


In U.S. Pat. No. 9,254,022, a secondary bag is folded and stored at the bottom of a primary bag, and after the secondary bag is unfolded, the capacity of the whole bag can be expanded, but this design cannot have both functions of a beach bag and a shopping bag for covering the objects contained in the bag at the same time.


In related prior arts such as U.S. Pat. Nos. 7,628,187, 8,156,974, and 9,271,553, the functions and structural designs are similar to those of U.S. Pat. Nos. 7,900,757, and 9,254,022 which cannot meet the requirement of using the storage bag for the functions of both of the beach bag and the shopping bag.


In view of the aforementioned problems, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related industry to conduct extensive research and experiment, and finally developed a dual-purpose storage bag to improve over the conventional bag that cannot be used for the purposes of both of the beach bag and the shopping bag.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Specifically, the present invention relates to a dual-purpose storage bag including a first bag body made of a mesh fabric and a second bag body made of a woven fabric with a covering function, wherein the first bag body and the second bag body share a common bottom surface and connect to each other, and the second bag body can be folded and stored at the bottom of the first bag body, characterized in that:


The first bag body has a pocket facing upward, and the second bag body has a pocket facing downward and connects to the first bag body in an opposite direction; and after the second bag body is unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body, the second bag body can be wrapped around the first bag body from bottom to top, and the upper edge of the pocket of the first bag body and the inner side of the pocket of the second bag body are combined with each other by a first zipper, such that the woven fabric of the second bag body is fixed and wrapped around the mesh fabric of the first bag body to cover the objects contained in the first bag body and protect personal privacy.


By the aforementioned structure, the present invention can store the second bag body at the bottom of the first bag body, and the first bag body is made of a mesh fabric and suitable to be used as a beach bag. Alternatively, the second bag body can be taken out and unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body the bottom and then upwardly folded and wrapped around the first bag body, and the upper edge of the pocket of the first bag body and the inner side of the pocket of the second bag body are combined with each other by the first zipper, such that the second bag body made of the woven fabric can cover the objects contained in the first bag body to achieve the effect of protecting privacy, and the second bag is suitable to be used as a shopping bag.


The technical characteristics of the present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of an illustrative embodiment of this invention described in connection with the drawings.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2 for a dual-purpose storage bag of the present invention, the dual-purpose storage bag includes a first bag body 10, and a second bag body 20, wherein the first bag body 10 is made of mesh fabric 11 with a ventilation function and suitable to be used as a beach bag, and the second bag body 20 is made of a woven fabric 21 with a covering function, and the first bag body 10 and the second bag body 20 share a common bottom surface A and connect to each other, and the second bag body 20 can be folded and stored at the bottom of the first bag body 10.


If the first bag body 10 is used as the beach bag, the second bag body 20 disposed at the bottom will be able to provide an isolation effect to avoid the sand on the beach from entering into the first bag body 10 when the first bag body 10 is placed on a beach, because the second bag body 20 is made of a woven fabric 21 and stored at the bottom of the first bag body 10.


In FIGS. 3 and 4, the first bag body 10 has a pocket 12 facing upward, and the second bag body 20 has a pocket 22 facing downward, and the first bag body 10 and the second bag body 20 are connected with each other in opposite directions.


In FIGS. 5 and 6, after the second bag body 20 is unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body 10, the second bag body 20 can be wrapped around the first bag body 10 from bottom to top, and an upper edge of the pocket 12 of the first bag body 10 and an inner side of the pocket 22 of the second bag body 20 are combined with each other by a first zipper 30.


The first zipper 30 includes a first primary zipper portion 31 and a first secondary zipper portion 32, and the first primary zipper portion 31 is disposed around the upper edge of the pocket 12 of the first bag body 10, and the first secondary zipper portion 32 is disposed around the inner side of the pocket 22 of the second bag body 20, such that the upper edge of the first bag body 10 and the inner side of the pocket 22 of the second bag body 20 can be combined with each other by the first primary zipper portion 31 and the first secondary zipper portion 32, and the woven fabric 21 of the second bag body 20 can be fixed and wrapped around the mesh fabric 11 of the first bag body 10 to cover the objects contained in the first bag body 10 and protect personal privacy, and the bag of this design is suitable to be used as a shopping bag.


With the aforementioned structure, the users can selectively use the dual-purpose storage bag as the beach bag or the shopping bag. For example, the second bag body 20 as shown in FIG. 1 is stored at the bottom of the first bag body 10, and the users can use the first bag body 10 as the beach bag for containing towels, swimsuits, etc. and the second bag body 20 stored at the bottom for isolation, such that the sand on the ground or beach will not enter into the first bag body 10 from the bottom; and if the users want to protect their personal privacy, the second bag body 20 as shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 can be unfolded and taken out from the bottom of the first bag body 10, and then wrapped around the first bag body 10 from bottom to top to cover the objects contained in the bag body, so as to achieve the effect of protecting personal privacy.


In an embodiment as shown in FIG. 2, a second zipper 40 is installed between the bottom of the first bag body 10 and the second bag body 20. After a user unzips the second zipper 40, the user can unfold the second bag body 20 from the bottom of the first bag body 10. In FIGS. 3 and 4, the second bag body 20 is disposed under the first bag body 10 and configured to be in an opposite direction of the first bag body 10.


The second zipper 40 includes a second primary zipper portion 41 and a second secondary zipper portion 42, and the second primary zipper portion 41 is transversally disposed around the bottom of the first bag body 10 in a substantially U-shape, and the second secondary zipper portion 42 is in a shape corresponding to that of the second primary zipper portion 41 and disposed around a side 23 of the second bag body 20.


When the user wants to switch the function of the shopping bag to the function of the beach bag, the switching operation is shown in the order of FIG. 6, FIG. 5, FIG. 4, FIG. 2, and FIG. 1. Firstly, the first zipper 30 is unzipped to separate the first primary zipper portion 31 and the first secondary zipper portion 32 to release the combined status of the upper edge of the pocket 12 of the first bag body 10 from the inner side of the pocket 22 of the second bag body 20, and then the second bag body 20 is unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body 10 in the direction from top to bottom, and then the second bag body 20 is folded from an inner periphery of the side 23 to the second secondary zipper portion 42, and finally the second primary zipper portion 41 and the second secondary zipper portion 42 are combined with each other, such that the second bag body 20 is folded and concealed at the bottom of the first bag body 10, and the side 23 of the second bag body 20 is disposed at the bottommost part of the first bag body 10 to define the status as shown in FIG. 1. As described above, when the first bag body 10 is used as the beach bag, the side 23 of the second bag body 20 stored at the bottom can be used for isolation, so that the sand on the ground or the beach will not enter into the first bag body 10 from the bottom of the first bag body 10.


In an embodiment as shown in FIGS. 7 and 1, an inner side of the first bag body 10 has a storage bag 50 with an opening 51, and the opening 51 is installed with a third zipper 52. After the storage bag 50 is flipped out from the first bag body 10, the first bag body 10 and the second bag body 20 can be folded and put into the storage bag 50 through the opening 51 to facilitate carrying and storing the dual-purpose storage bag.


By the aforementioned design, the users can select the folding and storage status according to their needs. For example, the dual-purpose storage bag can be folded and stored in the storage bag 50 in the beach bag status as shown in FIG. 1 or in the shopping bag status as shown in FIG. 6, depending on the way of using the dual-purpose storage bag by the users.


In FIGS. 1 and 6, the first bag body 10 and/or the second bag body 20 have a plurality of pockets 13 respectively, and the first bag body 10 and the second bag body 20 have a plurality of loop handles 14, 24 respectively. When the loop handle 24 of the second bag body 20 and the second bag body 20 are folded and stored at the bottom of the first bag body 10, the users can lift up the loop handle 14 of the first bag body 10 in order to use the first bag body 10 as the beach bag.


After the second bag body 20 is removed and unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body 10 and then wrapped around the first bag body 10 from bottom to top, and the loop handle 14 of the first bag body 10 is stored between an outer side of the first bag body 10 and an inner side of the second bag body 20, the first zipper 30 is provided for combining the first bag body 10 and the second bag body 20, and the users can lift up the loop handle 24 of the second bag body 20 and cover the objects contained in the bag body by the second bag body 20 to achieve the effect of protecting personal privacy.


While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as set forth in the claims.

Claims
  • 1. A dual-purpose storage bag, comprising a first bag body made of a mesh fabric, and a second bag body made of a woven fabric with a covering function; wherein the first bag body and the second bag body share a common bottom surface and connect to each other, and the second bag body can be folded and stored at the bottom of the first bag body, characterized in that the first bag body has a pocket facing upward, and the second bag body has a pocket facing downward and coupled to the first bag body in an opposite direction; after the second bag body is unfolded from the bottom of the first bag body, the second bag body can be wrapped around the first bag body from bottom to top, and an upper edge of the pocket of the first bag body and an inner side of the pocket of the second bag body are combined with each other by a first zipper, such that the woven fabric of the second bag body is fixed and wrapped around the mesh fabric of the first bag body to cover an object contained in the first bag body, so as to protect personal privacy.
  • 2. The dual-purpose storage bag of claim 1, wherein the first zipper comprises a first primary zipper portion and a first secondary zipper portion combined with each other, and the first primary zipper portion is disposed around an upper edge of the pocket of the first bag body, and the first secondary zipper portion is disposed around an inner side of the pocket of the second bag body, such that the upper edge of the pocket of the first bag body and the inner side of the pocket of the second bag body can be combined with each other by the first primary zipper portion and the first secondary zipper portion.

The dual-purpose storage bag of claim 1, further comprising a second zipper installed between the bottom of the first bag body and the second bag body, and the second zipper comprises a second primary zipper portion and a second secondary zipper portion, and the second primary zipper portion is transversally disposed around the bottom of the first bag body in a substantially U-shape, and the second secondary zipper portion is in a shape corresponding to that of the second primary zipper portion and disposed around a side of the second bag body, such that the second bag body can be folded on the side that is disposed at the inner periphery of the second secondary zipper portion to combine the second primary zipper portion and the second secondary zipper portion with each other, and the second bag body can be folded and concealed at the bottom of the first bag body, and the side of the second bag body is disposed at the bottommost part of the first bag body.
  • 4. The dual-purpose storage bag of claim 1, wherein the first bag body has a storage bag with an opening formed on an inner side thereof and facing upward, and when the storage bag is flipped out from the first bag body, the storage bag can be used for storing the first bag body and the second bag body into the storage bag from the opening after the first bag body and the second bag body are folded.
  • 5. The dual-purpose storage bag of claim 4, wherein the opening of the storage bag has a third zipper.
  • 6. The dual-purpose storage bag of claim 1, wherein the first bag body and/or the second bag body have a plurality of pockets.
  • 7. The dual-purpose storage bag of claim 1, wherein the first bag body and the second bag body have a plurality of loop handles.
