Abstract
A dual-sided thermal form-card and method for manufacturing are provided. In an embodiment, the dual-sided thermal form card includes a dual-sided thermal form including a first side and a second side, and a dual-sided thermal card including a first side and a second side being integral with the form and detachable therefrom, wherein the form and the card are adapted to be thermally imaged from respective first and second sides thereof. In an embodiment, the method of manufacturing a dual-sided thermal form-card includes providing dual-sided thermal medium including a first side and a second side, and perforating or die cutting the dual-sided thermal medium to produce a form and a card integral to the form, wherein the form and the card are adapted to be thermally imaged from the first side and the second side.

Claims
  • 1. A form-card comprising: a dual-sided thermal form including a first side and a second side; anda dual-sided thermal card being integral with the form and detachable therefrom, wherein the form and the card are adapted to be thermally imaged from a first side and a second side.
  • 2. The form-card of claim 1, wherein the form is perforated or die cut to form the card.
  • 3. The form-card of claim 1, further comprising a coating adhered to the second side of the form, wherein the second side of the form includes at least a first portion of the coating on the second side of the form and the second side of the card includes at least a second portion of the coating on the second side of the form.
  • 4. The form-card of claim 3, wherein the coating adhered to the second side of the form further comprises: a laminate layer; andan adhesive layer between the laminate layer and the second side of the form.
  • 5. The form-card of claim 4, wherein the dual-sided thermal card is formed by perforations or die cuts through the form, the laminate layer and the adhesive layer.
  • 6. The form-card of claim 3, wherein the coating adhered to the second side of the form includes: a first laminate layer;an adhesive layer between the first laminate layer and the second side of the form;a second laminate layer; anda clean release layer between the first laminate layer and the second laminate layer.
  • 7. The form-card of claim 6, wherein the dual-sided thermal card is formed by perforations or die cuts through the form, the first laminate layer and the adhesive layer.
  • 8. The form-card of claim 4, further comprising a coating adhered to the first side of the form, wherein the first side of the form includes at least a first portion of the coating on the first side of the form and the first side of the card includes at least a second portion of the coating on the first side of the form.
  • 9. The form-card of claim 8, wherein the coating adhered to the first side of the form includes: a laminate layer; andan adhesive layer between the laminate layer and the first side of the form.
  • 10. The form-card of claim 9, wherein the dual-sided thermal card is further formed by perforations or die cuts through the form, the laminate layer and the adhesive layer of the coating adhered to the first side of the form, and the laminate layer and the adhesive layer of the coating adhered to the second side of the form.
  • 11. The form-card of claim 6, further comprising a coating adhered to the first side of the form, wherein the first side of the form includes at least a first portion of the coating on the first side of the form and the first side of the card includes at least a second portion of the coating on the first side of the form.
  • 12. The form-card of claim 11, wherein the coating adhered to the first side of the form includes: a laminate layer; andan adhesive layer between the laminate layer and the first side of the form.
  • 13. The form-card of claim 12, wherein the dual-sided thermal card is further formed by perforations or die cuts through the form, the laminate layer and the adhesive layer of the coating adhered to the first side of the form, and the first laminate layer and the adhesive layer of the coating adhered to the second side of the form.
  • 14. A form-card comprising: a dual-sided thermal form including a first side and a second side; anda single-sided thermal patch adhered to a first side of the form, the thermal patch including a single-sided thermal card being integral therewith and being detachable therefrom, wherein the form is adapted to be thermally imaged from the first side and the second side and the card is adapted to be thermally imaged from the first side.
  • 15. The form-card of claim 14, wherein the from includes a depression into which the patch is adhered.
  • 16. The form-card of claim 14, wherein the form is perforated or die cut from the thermal patch to form the card.
  • 17. The form-card of claim 16, wherein the die cut forms ties between the patch and the card.
  • 18. The form-card of claim 14, further comprising: a silicone release layer; andan adhesive layer;wherein the silicone release layer is between the thermal patch and the adhesive layer, and the adhesive layer is between the silicone release layer and the first side of the form.
  • 19. The form-card of claim 18, wherein the silicone release layer includes a first surface and a second surface, and further includes one or more voids between the first surface and the second surface.
  • 20. The form-card of claim 19, wherein stealth ties are formed between the patch and the form by allowing the adhesive layer to penetrate through the voids of the silicone release layer and adhere the patch to the form via the adhesive layer.
  • 21. A method of manufacturing a dual-sided thermal form-card, the method comprising: providing dual-sided thermal medium including a first side and a second side; andperforating or die cutting the dual-sided thermal medium to produce a form and a card integral to the form, wherein the form and the card are adapted to be thermally imaged from the first side and the second side.
  • 22. The method of claim 21, further comprising: adhering a coating to the second side of the medium, a first portion of the coating adhered to the second side of the form and a second portion of the coating adhered to the second side of the card.
  • 23. The method of claim 22, wherein adhering a coating includes: applying an adhesive to the second side of the medium; andapplying a laminate to the adhesive.
  • 24. The method of claim 23, wherein the perforating or die cutting further includes perforating or die cutting through the medium, the adhesive and the laminate.
  • 25. The method of claim 22, wherein adhering a coating includes: applying an adhesive to the second side of the medium; andapplying a laminate to the adhesive, the laminate including a first laminate, a second laminate and a clean release adhesive between the first laminate and the second laminate layer.
  • 26. The method of claim 25, wherein the perforating or die cutting further includes perforating or die cutting through the medium, the adhesive and the first laminate.
  • 27. The method of claim 23, further comprising: adhering a coating to the first side of the medium, a first portion of the coating adhered to the first side of the form and a second portion of the coating adhered to the first side of the card.
  • 28. The method of claim 27, wherein adhering a coating includes: applying an adhesive to the first side of the medium; andapplying a laminate to the adhesive.
  • 29. The method of claim 28, wherein the perforating or die cutting further includes perforating or die cutting through the laminate and the adhesive of the first side, the medium, and the adhesive and the laminate of the second side.
  • 27. The method of claim 25, further comprising: adhering a coating to the first side of the medium, a first portion of the coating adhered to the first side of the form and a second portion of the coating adhered on the first side of the card.
  • 28. The method of claim 27, wherein adhering a coating includes: applying an adhesive to the first side of the medium; andapplying a laminate to the adhesive.
  • 29. The method of claim 28, wherein the perforating or die cutting further includes perforating or die cutting through the laminate and the adhesive of the first side, the medium, and the adhesive and the first laminate of the second side.
  • 30. A method of manufacturing a dual-sided thermal form-card, the method comprising: providing dual-sided thermal medium including a first side and a second side; andadhering a single-sided thermal patch to a first side of the medium, the thermal patch including a single-sided thermal card being integral therewith and being detachable therefrom, wherein the medium is adapted to be thermally imaged from the first side and the second side and the card is adapted to be thermally imaged from the first side.
  • 31. The method of claim 30, further comprising: forming a depression in the medium; andadhering the thermal patch into the depression of the thermal medium.
  • 32. The method of claim 30, further comprising perforating or die cutting the thermal patch to form the card.
  • 33. The method of claim 30, wherein die cutting further comprises forming ties between the patch and the card.
  • 34. The method of claim 30, wherein adhering further comprises: applying an adhesive to the first side of the medium;applying silicone to the adhesive; andapplying the thermal patch to the silicone.
  • 35. The method of claim 34, further comprising providing one or more voids between a first surface and a second surface of the silicone.
  • 36. The method of claim 35, wherein applying the adhesive further comprises allowing the adhesive to penetrate through the voids of the silicone to adhere the thermal patch to the medium.
