The invention relates to the gas system, which can be used in all tactical magazine-fed weapons, known in the art as “pump-action, semi-automatic and automatic shotguns” in the defense industry and hunting weapon industry, especially of the bullpup type.
Today, there are a number of automatic and semi-automatic weapons used by military personnel, as well as hunting rifles, which are usually used by civilians. Automatic, semi-automatic and pump-action derivative weapons, which are frequently used in our country in recent years, are always produced as individual rifles in different systems separated from each other and appear before us. The purpose and the area of use of the semi-automatic and pump-action weapons show differences. Because of these differences, individuals or organizations need both semi-automatic and pump-action weapons. It is almost impossible to carry both of these semi-automatic and pump-action weapons in two different systems at the same time. Even if the carrying problem is solved, the cost and storage of these two separate weapons compel individuals or organizations.
Rifles known as bullpup are the type of rifle, in which generally the magazine is placed behind the feeding & firing mechanism, the trigger and the grip. In this type of rifle, the barrel length is the same as in the standard rifles, but the overall length of the rifle is shorter than the standard rifles and its weight is relatively lighter.
The system of the automatic and semi-automatic bullpup weapons in the art is in the form of the operation of the gas piston system unlocking the mechanism. In other words, if the weapon is automatic, a gas piston system is used accordingly, and if it is semi-automatic, a different gas piston system is used accordingly. And there is no gas piston system in the pump-action system. These systems are mostly the same for all manufacturing companies and show very small changes.
In the search performed in the prior art, a utility model application no 2013/11698 and titled “A hunting rifle operating in two different systems as gas semi-automatic and pump-action stop manual” was identified. When the relevant application is examined, it is understood that it does not have a gas-piston system suitable for both automatic and semi-automatic rifle operating by means of a gas piston system unlocking the mechanism as explained above.
As a result, the existence of the above problems and the inadequacy of the existing solutions necessitated an improvement in the technical field related to rifles of the bullpup type, which can be operated semi-automatically or by pump-action according to the user's demand.
The main object of the invention is to convert the automatic and semi-automatic weapons of the bullpup type into the manual (pump-action) system by means of the designed gas system, through opening and closing the holes feeding the gas chamber by clockwise and/or counterclockwise movement of the ring located on and surrounding the barrel, allowing automatic and semi-automatic shooting in the open position of the holes and manual (pump-action) shooting in the closed position.
The object of the present invention is to provide application of the designed gas system to other magazine-fed automatic, semi-automatic weapons apart from bullpup type weapons, by designing it in suitable dimensions and sizes.
Another object of the invention is to provide a more comfortable and trouble-free operation of the system compared to its equivalents as the designed system does not contain too many parts.
Another object of the invention is to provide the user with a combination of both semi-automatic and pump-action (manual) weapon with the designed system. The switch between the two systems (semi-automatic and pump-action) of the weapon is obtained by selection latch on the barrel and the stock lock on the hand stock.
The constructional and characteristic features and all the advantages of the invention will be more clearly understood with the following detailed description with reference to the accompanying drawings, and therefore the evaluation must be made in view of these figures and the detailed description.

The dual system bullpup rifle (A) according to the invention is related to the gas system (5), which can be used in all tactical magazine-fed weapons, especially of the bullpup type, known in the art as “pump-action, semi-automatic and automatic”, and allow the weapon to be used in pump-action and/or semi-automatic system according to demand. In the dual system bullpup rifle (A) according to the invention, the embodiments of the invention are located on the front body (1). The ammunition/cartridge is fired in the barrel (3), wherein there is a barrel housing (4) located on the barrel (3) in order to be affected by the heat resulting from firing and for the grip ergonomics of the rifle. On said barrel housing (4), there is a latch guide (4.1) formed for connecting the selection latch (5.1) to the gas chamber (5.3). In the lower part of the barrel (3), there is a hand stock (2), which is connected to the mechanism by means of a lever and sets the rifle by fore-back movement by the user in the pump-action/manual use of the rifle. There is a stock lock (2.1) on the said hand stock (2), which locks and releases the hand stock (2) by the user (
The gas system (5) according to the invention contains basically four main parts. Among these, there is the gas chamber (5.3), which has a gas passage into it from the gas generated within the barrel (3) through the opening-closing of the gas discharge holes (3.1) on the barrel (3) according to the system (semi-automatic or pump-action) on which the rifle (A) will operate. A lock nut (5.2), which enables the firm connection to the barrel (3), is located on one side of the gas chamber (5.3), and a piston (5.4), which transmits the gas contained in it into the gas chamber (5.3) when the rifle operates on semi-automatic system and allows the rifle to be set again, on the other side. The gas passage to the gas chamber (5.3) is provided by at least one gas discharge hole (3.1) formed on the barrel (3). Opening-closing the gas discharge hole (3.1) by rotating said gas chamber (5.3) clockwise and/or counterclockwise over the barrel (3) by means of the selection latch (5.1) connected to a latch slot (5.1.1) formed on the gas chamber (5.3) provides the rifle to be operated in pump-action or semi-automatic system.
Operation in the semi-automatic system: Firstly, hand stock (2) is locked to prevent it from moving by pressing the stock lock (2.1) located on it. By turning the gas chamber (5.3) over the barrel by means of the selection latch (5.1), a gas passage is provided through the discharge hole (3.1). Shooting is done; after each shot, piston (5.4) mechanism is set again with the gas coming into the gas chamber (5.3).
Operation in the pump-action system: Firstly, hand stock (2) is unlocked to enable it to move by pressing the stock lock (2.1) located on it . By turning the gas chamber (5.3) over the barrel by means of the selection latch (5.1), the discharge hole (3.1) is closed and the gas passage to the gas chamber (5.3) is prevented. Shooting is done; after each shot, mechanism is set again by pulling the hand stock (2) back (to the trigger) and releasing it.
