Claims
- 1. A method for storing data (11) in a memory (10) in a distributed automation system (1) having a number of automation components (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7), the data (11) initially being stored locally on an automation component (2), a client (2), having the following steps:
a.) the client (2) sends a request (8) to the automation system (1), b.) each automation component (3 to 7) receiving the request (8) sends the client a response (9) containing detailed information relating to the memory (10) to which the respective automation component (3 to 7) has access, c.) the client (2) uses the detailed information to select a memory (10) and sends the data (11) to be stored to the appropriate automation component (3 to 7).
- 2. A method for coupling an automation component (2), a new component (2), to a distributed automation system (1) having a number of automation components (3, 4, 5, 6, 7), at least one of which has access to configuration data (11) which are stored in a memory (10) and have at least one configuration data record (12), having the following steps:
d.) the new component (2) sends a request (9) relating to configuration data (11) which are needed to the automation system (1), e.) each automation component (3 to 7) receiving the request sends the new component (2) a response (9) containing detailed information relating to the configuration data (11) to which the respective automation component (3 to 7) has access, f.) the new component (2) uses the detailed information to select the configuration data record (12), requests this configuration data record from the appropriate automation component (3 to 7) and stores the configuration data record (12), following receipt, in a configuration data memory (10).
- 3. A method for replacing an automation component (3 to 7), an old component (2), with a new component (2), in a distributed automation system (1), having the following steps:
g.) the old component (2) stores its data (2) in line with the method as claimed in claim 1 in a memory (10) in the automation system (1), h.) the old component (2) is replaced with the new component (2), i.) the new component (2) searches for and adopts the data stored by the old component (2), in line with the method as claimed in claim 2.
- 4. The method as claimed in claim 2 or 3, where the or each configuration data record (12) is provided with a configuration data record identifier (13) which can be used to establish the suitability of the configuration data record (12) for the new component (2).
- 5. The method as claimed in claim 4, where a prescribed or generatable configuration identifier is provided for each automation component (2 to 7), and where it is possible to establish the suitability of the configuration data record (12) for the new component (2) by comparing the configuration identifier and the configuration data record identifier (13).
- 6. The method as claimed in one of the preceding claims, where the data (11) to be stored are stored together with a descriptor (13).
- 7. The method as claimed in claim 6, where the descriptor (13) is formed with reference to a position and/or to an address for the client (2) in the automation system (1).
