Claims
- 1. A bedding cover having a hidden multisided access flap for improved access to a pocket of the bedding cover, the bedding cover comprising:
a front panel; a back panel sized larger than the front panel connected to the front panel providing a pocket between the front panel and the back panel; a multisided access flap within the back panel providing access to the pocket; a first fastener for securing a first side of the flap, a first portion of the first fastener held by the connection between the front panel and back panel, a second portion of the first fastener connected to the first side of the access flap; a first hiding flap substantially covering the first fastener provided by an edge of the back panel opposing the first side of the access flap; a second fastener for securing a second side of the flap, a first portion of the second fastener held by the connection between the front panel and back panel, a second portion of the second fastener connected to the second side of the access flap; and a second hiding flap substantially covering the second fastener provided by a second edge of the back panel opposing the second side of the access flap.
- 2. The bedding cover of claim 1 further comprising a stitching connecting the front panel and back panel defining the pocket and providing a flange about the pocket.
- 3. The bedding cover of claim 2 wherein the first fastener is positioned substantially perpendicular to the second fastener providing multidirectional access to the pocket.
- 4. The bedding cover of claim 3 further comprising a stitching connecting a peripheral edge of the front panel to a peripheral edge of the back panel.
- 5. The bedding cover of claim 4 wherein the peripheral edge of the front panel is defined by a first hem portion and the peripheral edge of the back panel is defined by a second hem portion, the first and second hem portion secured by the stitching.
- 6. The bedding cover of claim 5 wherein the first fastener and second fastener are zippers.
- 7. A pillow sham having a hidden multisided access flap for improved access to a pocket of the pillow sham, the pillow sham comprising:
a front panel; a back panel stitched to the front panel providing a pocket between the front panel and the back panel; a multisided access flap within the back panel providing access to the pocket; a first fastener for securing a first side of the access flap; a first hiding flap substantially covering the first fastener provided by an edge of the back panel opposing the first side of the access flap; a second fastener for securing a second side of the access flap positioned substantially perpendicular to the first fastener providing multidirectional access to the pocket; and a second hiding flap substantially covering the second fastener provided by a second edge of the back panel opposing the second side of the access flap.
- 8. The pillow sham of claim 7 wherein a first portion of the first fastener is stationary adjacent the front panel and a second portion of the first fastener is connected to the first side of the access flap.
- 9. The pillow sham of claim 8 wherein a first portion of the second fastener is stationary adjacent the front panel and a second portion of the second fastener is connected to the second side of the access flap.
- 10. The pillow sham of claim 9 further comprising a second stitching connecting the front panel and back panel defining the pocket and providing a flange about the pocket.
- 11. The pillow sham of claim 10 further comprising a third stitching connecting a peripheral edge of the front panel to a peripheral edge of the back panel.
- 12. The pillow sham of claim 11 wherein the peripheral edge of the front panel is defined by a first hem portion and the peripheral edge of the back panel is defined by a second hem portion, the first and second hem portion secured by the third stitching.
- 13. The pillow of claim 12 wherein the first fastener and second fastener are zippers.
- 14. A pillow sham having a hidden multisided access flap for improved access to a pocket of the pillow sham, the pillow sham comprising:
a multisided access flap providing access to a pocket; a plurality of fasteners for securing each side of the multisided access flap, at least two fasteners positioned in perpendicular relationship; and at least one hiding flap substantially covering the plurality of fasteners situated adjacent stationary portions of the plurality of fasteners.
- 15. The pillow sham of claim 14 wherein moveable portions of the plurality of fasteners are connected to the access flap.
- 16. The pillow sham of claim 15 further comprising a stitching defining the pocket and providing a flange about the pocket.
- 17. The pillow sham of claim 16 wherein the plurality of fasteners are zippers.
- 18. A method of making a bedding cover having a hidden multisided access flap, the method comprising:
cutting a front panel; cutting a back panel larger than the front panel; cutting a multisided access flap within the back panel making a corresponding hiding flap adjacent the multisided access flap; simultaneously hemming perimeter edges of the front panel and perimeter edges of the back panel while stitching the front panel and back panel together forming a pocket between the front panel and back panel; simultaneously stitching a stationary portion of a fastener between the front panel and back panel while hemming an edge of the hiding flap substantially covering the stationary portion of the fastener, the stitching defining a portion of the pocket and a flange adjacent the pocket; stitching a movable portion of the fastener adjacent at least one edge of the multisided access flap; and stitching the front panel to the back panel simultaneously defining another portion of the pocket and another portion of the flange.
- 19. A bedding cover having multisided access to a pocket of the bedding cover, the bedding cover comprising:
a front panel; a back panel having a first hemmed edge connected to a first hemmed edge of the front panel providing a pocket between the front panel and back panel; a first fastener for securing a second hemmed edge of the back panel to a second hemmed edge of the front panel, the second hemmed edge of the back panel and second hemmed edge of the front panel substantially covering the first fastener when the first fastener is in a closed position; and a second fastener for securing a third hemmed edge of the back panel to a third hemmed edge of the front panel, the third hemmed edge of the back panel and third hemmed edge of the front panel substantially covering the second fastener when the second fastener is in a closed position.
- 20. The bedding cover of claim 19 wherein the first fastener is positioned substantially perpendicular to the second fastener providing multidirectional access to the pocket.
- 21. A bedding cover having multisided access to a pocket of the bedding cover, the bedding cover comprising:
a front panel; a back panel connected to the front panel providing a pocket between the front panel and back panel; a first fastener for securing a first portion of the pocket; and a second fastener for securing a second portion of the pocket.
- 22. The bedding cover of claim 21 further comprises:
a multisided access flap within the back panel providing access to the pocket, the first fastener securing a first side of the access flap and the second fastener securing a second side of the access flap; a first hiding flap substantially covering the first fastener provided by an edge of the back panel opposing the first side of the access flap; and a second hiding flap substantially covering the second fastener provided by a second edge of the back panel opposing the second side of the access flap.
- 23. The bedding cover of claim 22 further comprising a stitching connecting the front panel and back panel defining the pocket and providing a flange about the pocket.
- 24. The bedding cover of claim 23 wherein the first fastener is positioned substantially perpendicular to the second fastener providing multidirectional access to the pocket.
- 25. The bedding cover of claim 21 wherein the back panel has a first hemmed edge connecting the back panel to a first hemmed edge of the front panel, the first fastener secures a second hemmed edge of the back panel to a second hemmed edge of the front panel substantially covered by the second hemmed edge of the back panel and the second hemmed edge of the front panel, the second fastener secures a third hemmed edge of the back panel to a third hemmed edge of the front panel substantially covered by the third hemmed edge of the back panel and the third hemmed edge of the front panel.
- 26. The bedding cover of claim 25 wherein the first fastener is positioned substantially perpendicular to the second fastener providing multidirectional access to the pocket.
- 27. A method of making a bedding cover having hidden multisided access to a pocket, the method comprising:
cutting a front panel; cutting a back panel; simultaneously hemming perimeter edges of the front panel and perimeter edges of the back panel while stitching the front panel and back panel together forming a pocket between the front panel and back panel; stitching a first portion of a first fastener adjacent a first open edge of the pocket, the stitching hemming the first open edge of the pocket; stitching a second portion of the first fastener adjacent a second open edge of the pocket opposing the first open edge, the stitching hemming the second open edge of the pocket; stitching a first portion of a second fastener adjacent a third open edge perpendicular to the first open edge of the pocket, the stitching hemming the third open edge of the pocket; and stitching a second portion of the second fastener adjacent a fourth open edge of the pocket opposing the third open edge of the pocket and perpendicular to the second open edge of the pocket, the stitching hemming the fourth open edge of the pocket.
- 28. The method of claim 27 further comprising cutting a multisided access flap within the back panel making the first open edge of the pocket, the second open edge of the pocket, the third open edge of the pocket and the fourth open edge of the pocket within the back panel.
- 29. The method of claim 27 wherein the first open edge of the pocket and third open edge of the pocket are perimeter edges of the back panel and the second open edges of the pocket and fourth open edge of the pocket are perimeter edges of the front panel.
