The present invention relates, generally, to an easy snap-together electric power track apparatus and method for efficiently transferring electric power to doors in order to energize door associated electrical devices for the efficiently supplying electric power to doors devices such as doorknobs, door levers, door bar handles, door plates and other devices for connecting the devices with electrical energy to energize, for example, ultraviolet C sterilizing germicidal light enabled doorknobs, door levers, door bar handles and door plates and other devices that come into contact with hands so that the surfaces are, and remain, germ-free.
It is well established that germs from hands are easily communicated to a person's face especially when the hands touch the face several times a minute as, for example, the eyes are rubbed, the nose is touched and other times when the hands consciously and unconsciously touch the face. Since the exposed face, more than any other part of the human body, is more susceptible to transmitting germs to the body's systems it imperative to maintain as best as possible a germ free face and hands free of pathogens which can enter the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, etc.

The foregoing and related objects are accomplished by the present invention, which provides a snap-together electric power track apparatus for efficiently transferring electric power to doors in order to energize door-associated electrical devices, which includes a door access device associated with a door wherein a user comes into contact with the door access device utilizing electrical energy, a power hinge for transmitting electrical power the door, and means for transmitting electrical energy to electrically energize one or more door-associated electrical devices.
Preferably, the means for transmitting electrical energy to electrically energize door-associated electrical devices includes an adhesive-backed current carrying conduit/track that adjustably attaches to the door and transmit electrical power from the power relaying hinge to door associated electrical devices and may include ultraviolet C sterilizing germicidal light enabled doorknobs, contoured door levers, rectangular door levers, door bar handles, door push plates, rechargeable batteries, lights, emergency lights video equipment and fans.
It is further preferable that when a door access device associated with the door comes into contact with a user, the door access device emits ultraviolet C that constitutes a sterilizing germicidal light, which may be provided as light emitting diodes, fiber optics, glass fibers and mercury bulbs.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the means for transmitting electrical energy includes a power track that is either associated with the door and/or door-associated electrical devices.
Other electrical devices may also be energized by the easy snap-together electric power track apparatus and method for efficiently transferring electric power to doors in order to energize door-associated electrical devices of the present invention shown herein as, for example, existing doorknobs, door levers, door bar handles and door plates may be easily adapted and retrofitted with the adaption and incorporation of the easy snap-together power track apparatus of the present invention for the introduction of electrical power to energize ultraviolet C sterilizing germicidal light equipped devices to continuously sanitize the surface for a germ-free environment.
Ultraviolet C sterilizing germicidal light enabled doorknobs and door handles maintain a germ-free surface by disinfecting and sterilizing doorknobs, door handle levers, door bar handles, door plates and other devices that are touched by a user hands. By exposing the doorknob, door lever, door bar handle, door plates, faucet lever/handle, elevator buttons and other devices to ultraviolet C sterilizing germicidal light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids, disrupting their DNA/RNA and leaving them unable to function or reproduce.
