Claims
- 1. A program product comprising:
- recordable media, said recordable media having
- an object instance;
- first and second method tables, said first and said second method tables each containing location information about method programs; and
- an interface table, said interface table containing location information about said first method table and said second method table, said interface table being connected to said object instance via connection information contained in said object instance;
- recorded thereon.
- 2. The program product of claim 1 wherein said object instance further comprises instance variables.
- 3. The program product of claim 2 wherein said first and said second method tables further comprise data location means for locating said instance variables.
- 4. A method for generating and storing a composite data structure composite data structure, said method comprising the steps of:
- creating an object instance;
- creating an interface table;
- creating first and second method tables;
- connecting said interface table to said object instance via connection information located in said object;
- connecting said first and said second method tables to said interface table, said method tables being individually connected to said interface table via location information contained in said interface table; and
- connecting method programs to each of said method tables, said method programs being individually connected to said method table via location information contained in said first and said second method tables.
- 5. The method of claim 4 wherein said creating an object instance step further comprises the steps of:
- creating instance variables; and
- placing said instance variables into said object instance.
- 6. A program product comprising:
- recordable media, said recordable media having
- a class object;
- first and second method tables, said first and said second method tables each containing location information about method programs; and
- an interface table, said interface table containing location information about said first method table and said second method table, said interface table being connected to said class object via connection information contained in said class object;
- recorded thereon.
- 7. The program product of claim 6 wherein said class object further comprises instance variable definitions.
- 8. The program product of claim 7 wherein said first and said second method tables further comprise data location means for locating said instance variable definitions.
- 9. A method for generating and storing a composite data structure, said method comprising the steps of:
- creating a class object;
- creating an interface table;
- creating first and second method tables;
- connecting said interface table to said class object via connection information located in said class object;
- connecting said first and said second method tables to said interface table, said method tables being individually connected to said interface table via location information contained in said interface table; and
- connecting method programs to each of said method tables, said method programs being individually connected to said method table via, location information contained in said first and said second method tables.
- 10. The method of claim 9 wherein said creating a class object instance step further comprises the steps of:
- creating instance variable definitions; and
- placing said instance variable definitions into said class object.
- 11. An apparatus for generating and storing a composite data structure, said apparatus comprising:
- means for creating an object instance;
- means for creating an interface table;
- means for creating first and second method tables;
- means for connecting said interface table to said object instance via connection means located in said object;
- means for connecting said first and said second method tables to said interface table, said method tables being individually connected to said interface table via location information contained in said interface table; and
- means for connecting method programs to each of said method tables, said method programs being individually connected to said method table via, location information contained in said first and said second method tables.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 11 wherein said means for creating an object instance further comprises:
- means for creating instance variables; and
- means for placing said instance variables into said object instance.
- 13. An apparatus for generating and storing a composite data structure, said apparatus comprising:
- means for creating a class object;
- means for creating an interface table;
- means for creating first and second method tables;
- means for connecting said interface table to said class object via connection means located in said class object;
- means for connecting said first and said second method tables to said interface table, said method tables being individually connected to said interface table via location information contained in said interface table; and
- means for connecting method programs to each of said method tables, said method programs being individually connected to said method table via, location information contained in said first and said second method tables.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 13 wherein said means for creating a class object instance further comprises:
- means for creating instance variable definitions; and
- means for placing said instance variable definitions into said class object.
