Abstract
An elastic fabric structure having an elastic base fabric layer woven with warp and weft threads, the warp and weft threads each having at least one elastic core yarn and at least one surface yarn spirally wound round the at least one elastic core yarn, a soft lining layer of GORE-TEX or cotton bonded to an inner side of the elastic base fabric layer, and a covering layer with a color design bonded to an outer side of the elastic base fabric layer.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to fabrics and, more particularly, to an elastic fabric structure for use to make shoe uppers.
[0002] Conventional shoe uppers are commonly made of woven fabrics comprised of warp and weft threads. Because these woven fabrics are not elastic, much friction force is produced when the user playing a severe athletic game, thereby causing the feet to ache.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a fabric structure for shoe upper, which is elastic. It is another object of the present invention to provide a fabric structure for shoe upper, which is comfortable in touch. According to one aspect of the present invention, the fabric structure is comprised of an elastic base fabric layer, a soft lining layer of GORE-TEX or cotton bonded to an inner side of the elastic base fabric layer, and a covering layer with a color design bonded to an outer side of the elastic base fabric layer. According to another aspect of the present invention, the elastic base fabric layer is a woven fabric made of warp and weft threads, and the warp and weft threads each are comprised of at least one elastic core yarn and at least one surface yarn spirally wound round the at least one elastic core yarn.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0004]
FIG. 1 illustrates the structure of a thread made according to the present invention.
[0005]
FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the fabric structure of a shoe upper made according to the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0006] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, warp and weft threads 1 for weaving an elastic base fabric layer 2 for making shoe uppers in accordance with the present invention are respectively comprised of at least one elastic core yarn 10 and at least one surface yarn 11 spirally wound round the at least one elastic core yarn 10. The elastic core yarn 10 is chiefly made of rubber or Spandex fibers. The surface yarn 11 is made of Tetoron, silk, or any of a variety of synthetic fibers.
[0007] Referring to FIG. 2 again, the fabric structure of the shoe upper 3 is comprised of an elastic base fabric layer 2, a lining layer 21 made of GORE-TEX or cotton fibers bonded to one side, namely, the inner side of the elastic base fabric layer 2, and a covering layer 22 bonded to the other side, namely, the outer side of the elastic base fabric layer 2. The covering layer 22 has a particular color design in it that causes a sense of beauty.
[0008] Because the fabric structure of the shoe upper 3 is chiefly comprised of an elastic base fabric layer 2, it is elastic. Further, the lining layer 21 makes the fabric structure of the shoe upper 3 comfortable in touch, and the covering layer 22 makes the fabric structure of the shoe upper 3 attractive.
[0009] A prototype of an elastic fabric structure has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1 and 2. The elastic fabric structure functions smoothly to provide all of the features discussed earlier.
[0010] Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
