When one wants to store an electric cord with an ordinary storage reel that person has to wind either the plug end or the socket end first and then wind the rest of the electric cord. And when that person wants to use it he/she has to completely unwind the electric cord before it can be used. The electric cord cannot be partially unwound to use it because either the socket end or the plug end of electric cord is still wound at the inner most side. The present invented electric cord storage reel with a small open-end roller which has an inner opening connecting to the storage reel can solve this problem. User first inserts the plug end or socket end of electric cord into the roller through the inner opening of roller and stores about two foot long of the electric cord of plug end in the central open-ended roller and then winds the rest of electric cord onto electric cord storage reel. When one wants to use the electric cord he/she first un-winds the electric cord to the length he/she needs and not whole electric cord and then removes the socket end or plug end of electric cord through one opening of the open-end roller to expose both socket end and plug end for usage.
