Claims
- 1. An electric hotplate comprising:
- a hotplate mounting unit including a hotplate body having a cooking surface defining a setting plane on a topside of said hotplate mounting unit adapted to be mounted to a mounted operating state in the vicinity of a mounting opening of a mounting plate, said mounting opening defining an inner circumference, said hotplate mounting unit defining an outer circumference and an underside and said mounting plate defining a top standing plane and a bottom side; and shield structure comprising at least one shield surrounding said hotplate for shielding said mounting plate with respect to said hotplate by shielding at least one of zones provided by said inner circumference, said outer circumference, said underside and said bottom side, said at least one shield being located substantially below said standing plane, wherein said at least one shield provides an additional securing means for positionally securing said hotplate with respect to said mounting plate in said mounted operating state, said at least one shield being engageably associated with said mounting plate.
- 2. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield is shaped as a shield dish for receiving said underside of said hotplate, said shield structure including a shield plate surrounding said hotplate and covering said bottom side of said mounting plate, said at least one shield being pressingly connected to said mounting plate.
- 3. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield extends from a region radially inside of said inner circumference substantially over said bottom side of said mounting plate, said at least one shield being located underneath and in the vicinity of support means for supporting said hotplate peripherally on said mounting plate, said at least one shield providing holding means for fixing said hotplate with respect to said mounting plate.
- 4. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield forms a component separate from said hotplate mounting unit, said component extending as a hotplate section along said underside of said hotplate and as a plate section located at a higher level than said hotplate section closely adjacent said bottom side of said mounting plate.
- 5. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield is at least partly connected to a bearing ring (10f).
- 6. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield (32y) is constructed substantially in one part with said mounting plate (3y).
- 7. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield is made from sheet metal, having an annular plate section connecting radially outwardly to a shield jacket and located below supporting means supporting said hotplate annularly on said mounting plate.
- 8. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said mounting plate and said at least one shield provide a one-part component.
- 9. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein a bearing ring (10) is provided for covering a gap between said hotplate and an opening rim bounding said mounting opening, a jacket member traversing said mounting opening and connected to said bearing ring being provided, said at least one shield forming a substantially one-part component with said jacket member.
- 10. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said hotplate mounting unit further includes a bearing ring for covering an annular gap extending radially between said hotplate and an opening rim bounding said mounting opening, said bearing ring having an underside providing a support face substantially connected to said outer circumference, radially between said support face and said hotplate at least one additional support being provided for supporting said bearing ring with respect to height motions relative to said mounting plate, said additional support being located in the vicinity of said gap.
- 11. The electric hotplate according to claim 10, wherein said additional support is formed by at least one support section of said at least one shield, said support section providing an annular profile projecting upwardly from two plate sections.
- 12. The electric hotplate according to claim 10, wherein said additional support is provided to supportingly and abuttingly engage at least one of zones provided by a bottom wall and a flank of said bearing ring.
- 13. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein a bearing ring connecting said hotplate to said mounting plate has a circumferentially extending, substantially annular collecting depression between said hotplate body and a support face adapted to rest on said mounting plate, an additional support to said bearing ring being provided for abuttingly limiting downward motions of said electric hotplate with respect to said mounting plate.
- 14. The electric hotplate according to claim 13, wherein said bearing ring has a radially inner, inside ring profile for connecting to said hotplate body and a radially outer outside ring profile providing said support face, said additional support being provided for abuttingly engaging said bearing ring against downward motions of said hotplate mounting unit.
- 15. The electric hotplate according to claim 13, wherein said bearing ring is constructed in an at least double-layer form in the vicinity of said support face, superimposed ring layers of said double layer form being movable with respect to each other upon height motions of said hotplate with respect to said mounting plate, said ring layers providing a stop for limiting downward motions of said hotplate with respect to said mounting plate.
- 16. The electric hotplate according to claim 15, wherein a lower of said ring layers of said bearing ring passes into a downwardly directed collar section integrally connected to said ring layer.
- 17. The electric hotplate according to claim 16, wherein at least one locking member (41f) is associated with said collar section for locking said hotplate against rising from said mounting plate.
- 18. The electric hotplate according to claim 15, wherein, between a lower ring layer and an upper ring layer, said bearing ring receives a flange of a downwardly projecting collar section.
- 19. The electric hotplate according to claim 13, wherein a radially inner ring profile of said bearing ring forms a highest area of said bearing ring, rigidly connected to said hotplate as a member of said hotplate mounting unit.
- 20. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein with a bearing ring (10, 10f, 10m, 10w, 10z) connecting said hotplate to said mounting plate is associated at least one position locking mechanism (40, 40f, 40m, 40w, 40z) having at least one locking member (41, 41f, 41m, 41w, 41z) for locking said bearing ring against rising from said mounting plate (3, 3m, 3w, 3z).
- 21. The electric hotplate according to claim 20, wherein said at least one locking member is at least one of members provided by a resilient snap member, a bending tongue and a locking cam.
- 22. The electric hotplate according to claim 20, wherein said at least one shield is traversed by said at least one locking member (41f).
- 23. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said at least one shield is provided with at least one locking member (41g) for locking said hotplate against rising from said mounting plate.
- 24. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein separate from supporting means supporting said hotplate on said mounting plate at least one centering member is provided for centering said hotplate mounting unit with respect to said mounting plate said at least one centering member being a member of said shield structure.
- 25. The electric hotplate according to claim 24, wherein said centering member (39r) is directed against an outer circumference of an outer flange rim (26r) of said hotplate body.
- 26. The electric hotplate according to claim 24, wherein said supporting means is provided by a bearing ring supported on an upper face of said mounting plate, said at least one shield being located below said bearing ring and said centering member being shaped out of said at least one shield.
- 27. The electric hotplate according to claim 24, wherein a plurality of circumferentially distributed centering members is provided, each centering member forming a centering tongue freely opposing a centering counterface of said hotplate, said counterface being a circumferential face.
- 28. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said mounting plate has a recessed ring shoulder for supportingly receiving a one-part double layer supporting profile of said hotplate mounting unit.
- 29. The electric hotplate according to claim 28, wherein said ring shoulder has a depth extension smaller than a thickness extension.
- 30. The electric hotplate according to claim 28 wherein said ring shoulder receives a profile ring washer for supporting a bearing ring providing said supporting profile and connecting said hotplate to said mounting plate, said bearing ring being a member of said mounting unit.
- 31. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein a rotating prevention means is provided for rotationally securing at least one of members provided by said hotplate and a bearing ring connecting said hotplate to said mounting plate through said shield structure, at least one of said hotplate members being rotationally secured with respect to said at least one shield, said rotation prevention means comprising at least one securing projection interengageable with a securing opening upon a relative assembling motion traverse to said mounting plate.
- 32. The electric hotplate according to claim 31, wherein a locking member connected in non-rotary manner to said bearing ring (10) engages a rotation preventing member (50) of said at least one shield forming a plate (33a).
- 33. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein a ground part is fixed by a substantially welding-like joint directly to at least one of members provided by said at least one shield (32a) and a bearing ring (10) connecting said hotplate to said mounting plate (3).
- 34. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein at least one grounding lug (47, 48, 49, 49a) is electrically conductively connected to at least one of members provided by said hotplate body and said at least one shield (32 or 32a).
- 35. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said securing means is provided for securing said hotplate mounting unit against lifting-off of said mounting plate, said at least one shield having a shield jacket inside said mounting opening and under-engaging said bottom side of said mounting plate adjacent to said inner circumference.
- 36. The electric hotplate according to claim 35, wherein said shield structure includes a shielding plate surrounding said hotplate mounting unit at a close distance from and substantially parallel to said bottom side of said mounting plate, said shielding plate extending from said bottom side inwardly beyond said inner circumference, said shielding plate bracing said hotplate mounting unit against an upper side of said mounting plate.
- 37. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein, in said operating state, said hotplate mounting unit is resiliently moveable over a downward motion path with respect to said mounting plate under downwardly directed load forces, said securing means providing a stop for limiting said downward motion path.
- 38. The electric hotplate according to claim 37, wherein at an abutted end of said downward motion path, said setting plane is substantially co-planar with said standing plane.
- 39. The electric hotplate according to claim 37, wherein a support stop is provided for limiting said downward motion path, said support stop being located below a bearing ring connecting said outer circumference of said electric hotplate with said mounting plate.
- 40. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said securing means include centering means for reciprocally positionally centering said hotplate mounting unit and said at least one shield, said centering means being provided within said inner circumference of said mounting opening.
- 41. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said securing means include a seal extending in the vicinity of at least one of said inner circumference of said mounting opening and said bottom side of said mounting plate, said at least one shield substantially sealingly resting against said seal in the vicinity of said bottom side of said mounting plate.
- 42. The electric hotplate according to claim 1, wherein said securing means include a resilient expansion compensating element compensatingly located between said mounting plate and said hotplate mounting unit and said at least one shield, at least one of structures defined by said hotplate mounting unit and said at least one shield resting against said compensating element with pretension, thereby preventing said hotplate mounting unit against lift-off motions with respect to said mounting plate.
