Claims
- 1. The method of electrically stimulating the body of a living person comprising the steps of:
- generating a first square-wave voltage signal of several volts amplitude and having a period of about four seconds;
- generating a second square-wave voltage signal having a higher frequency and smaller amplitude than said first signal;
- combining said two signals to provide a composite signal; and
- then applying said composite signal to the body of a living person.
- 2. The method of electrically stimulating the body of a living person comprising the steps of:
- generating a first square-wave voltage signal of several volts amplitude and having a period of about four seconds;
- generating a second square-wave voltage signal having a higher frequency than, and about half the amplitude of, said first signal;
- combining said two signals to provide a composite signal; and
- then applying said composite signal to the body of a living person.
- 3. The method of electrically stimulating the body of a living person comprising the steps of:
- generating a first square-wave voltage signal of several volts amplitude and having a period of about four seconds;
- generating a second square-wave voltage signal having a higher frequency and smaller amplitude than said first signal;
- combining said two signals to provide a composite signal;
- selecting a large metallic member as one electrode;
- selecting a small, wet cotton wad as another electrode;
- applying said composite signal between said two electrodes; and
- placing said electrodes in engagement with respective separate portions of the person's skin.
