Claims
- 1. An electrochemical cell frame, comprising:
fluid transportation conduits; an integral protector portion having an extension; and connecting channels in fluid communication with said fluid transportation conduits.
- 2. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said extension has a thickness of up to about 0.008 inches.
- 3. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 2, wherein said extension has a thickness of about 0.002 inches to about 0.004 inches.
- 4. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said extension has a width of up to about 0.250 inches.
- 5. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said extension has a width of up to about 0.175.
- 6. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said extension has a width of about 0.125 inches to about 0.150 inches.
- 7. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said integral protector portion has a shaped portion in intimate contact with said cell frame, and wherein said shaped portion is square, curved or beveled.
- 8. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 7, wherein said extension is flexible.
- 9. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 7, wherein said shaped portion of said integral protector portion has a substantially uniform thickness.
- 10. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said integral protector portion has a substantially squared portion in intimate contact with the frame, such that said portion has a substantially uniform thickness.
- 11. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 1, wherein said extension is flexible.
- 12. An electrochemical cell frame, comprising:
fluid transportation conduits; an integral protector portion having an extension; and connecting channels disposed within the cell frame and adjacent to said integral protector portion, and in fluid communication with said fluid transportation conduits.
- 13. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said extension has a thickness of up to about 0.008 inches.
- 14. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 13, wherein said extension has a thickness of about 0.002 inches to about 0.004 inches.
- 15. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said extension has a width of up to about 0.250 inches.
- 16. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said extension has a width of up to about 0.175.
- 17. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said extension has a width of about 0.125 inches to about 0.150 inches.
- 18. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said integral protector portion has a shaped portion in intimate contact with said cell frame, and wherein said shaped portion is square, curved or beveled.
- 19. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 18, wherein said extension is flexible.
- 20. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 18, wherein said shaped portion of said integral protector portion has a substantially uniform thickness.
- 21. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said integral protector portion has a substantially squared portion in intimate contact with the frame, such that said portion has a substantially uniform thickness.
- 22. The electrochemical cell frame as in claim 12, wherein said extension is flexible.
