Claims
- 1. An interference electrode, comprising:
- an electrically nonconductive substrate; and
- an electrically conductive material adhered to a portion of said substrate, a first portion of said electrically conductive material being covered with an electrically insulating dielectric coating, and a second portion of said electrically conductive material being covered with an inactive layer comprising an inactive protein immobilized onto platinized carbon powder particles, wherein said particles are distributed substantially uniformly throughout said inactive layer; and
- a semi-permeable membrane covering said inactive layer.
- 2. The interference electrode according to claim 1, wherein the inactive protein is albumin.
- 3. The inactive electrode according to claim 1, wherein the inactive protein is bovine serum albumin.
- 4. An interference electrode, comprising:
- an electrically conductive material, a first portion of said electrically conductive material being covered with an electrically insulating dielectric coating, and a second portion of said electrically conductive material being covered with an inactive layer comprising an inactive protein immobilized onto platinized carbon powdered particles, wherein said particles are distributed substantially uniformly throughout said inactive layers; and
- a semi-permeable membrane covering said inactive layer.
- 5. The interference electrode according to claim 4, wherein the inactive protein is albumin.
- 6. The interference electrode according to claim 5, further comprising a substrate for said electrically conductive material.
- 7. The interference electrode according to claim 4, wherein the inactive protein is bovine serum albumin.
- 8. The interference electrode according to claim 7, further comprising a substrate for said electrically conductive material.
- 9. The interference electrode according to claim 4, further comprising a substrate for said electrically conductive material.
