Claims
- 1. An electroencephalographic head set, comprising:
- a disposable electroencephalographic monitor for contacting a patient's head;
- holder means for holding the monitor in contact with the patient's head; and
- a non-conductive leaf spring including a slot slidably holding said holder means and a hinge adapted to rotatably adjust said holder means.
- 2. A head set as recited in claim 1, wherein said holder means comprises an adjustable holder holding and adjusting said monitor toward or away from the patient's head; and said spring comprises a curved spring, adapted to partially wrap around the patient's head, coupled to said holder and providing a spring force to said holder to hold said monitor in contact with the patient's head.
- 3. A head set as recited in claim 2, further comprising a cushion mounted on said spring so as to be away from the patient's head.
- 4. A head set as recited in claim 2, wherein said adjustable holder comprises:
- an externally threaded rod having a hole frictionally recieving said monitor which extends from the hole;
- contact means, inside the hole, for electrically contacting siad monitor; and
- a pair of nuts engaging said threaded rod and attaching said holder to said spring.
- 5. A head set as recited in claim 1, wherein said disposable monitor comprises:
- a conductive tube; and
- conductive wires, contacting said tube and extending from said tube, adapted to directly contact the patient's head.
- 6. A head set as recited in claim 1, wherein said spring comprises a transparent synthetic resin material.
- 7. An electroencephalographic head set for a patient's head in an evoked potential autorefractometry system, said head set comprising;
- a disposable monitor comprising a tube and conductive wires extending from the tube forming a planar contact surface;
- an adjustable holder holding and adjusting said monitor toward or away from the patient's head;
- a spring including a slot slidably holding said holder and a hinge rotatably adjusting said holder, the slot and hinge adjusting placement of said holder and said monitor against the patient's head; and
- a cushion abutting said spring so as to be away from the patient's head.
