Claims
- 1. An electronic apparatus comprising:
- a box-shaped body;
- a card-shaped electronic device to be loaded in the body;
- an operating opening portion formed by cutting an edge of the body to a given size and externally accessible by a finger;
- a card storing section formed in the body and having an inlet opening open to the operating opening portion, for storing the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening; and
- an ejection mechanism for ejecting the card-shaped electronic device from the card storing section;
- said ejection mechanism including:
- a card receiver arranged within the card storing section, for receiving the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening, the card receiver having a pressing portion for abutting against a front end of the card-shaped electronic device received by the receiver and being movable in an insertion direction of the card-shaped electronic device between a first position wherein the card-shaped electronic device received by the receiver is stored in the card storing section and a second position wherein a rear end portion of the card-shaped electronic device received by the receiver projects outward from the inlet opening and the operating opening portion;
- a drawer member attached to the receiver and movable in the insertion direction between a pushed-in position and a drawn-out position, the drawer member having an operating end portion allowing a finger to be hooked, the operating end portion being located within the operating opening portion when the drawer member is moved to its pushed-in position while the card receiver is in its first position and outwardly projecting through the operating opening portion when the drawer member is moved to its drawn-out position while the card receiver is in its first position; and
- connecting means for engaging the card receiver and the drawer member when the drawer member is moved to the drawn-out position so as to move the card receiver from the first position to the second position in accordance with the movement of the drawer member from the drawn-out position toward the inlet opening.
- 2. An apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said card receiver is realized in the form of a tray and includes a bottom wall having a size substantially equal to that of the card shaped electronic device and a pair of lateral walls extending in the insertion direction of the card-shaped electronic device.
- 3. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said card receiver is made from a conductive metal plate and electrically connected to the body and each of the lateral walls of the card receiver has a contact portion projecting toward the other lateral wall, said card-shaped electronic device comprises a conductive portion for contacting the contact portion as the device is received in the card receiver.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said card receiver comprises a pair of slits formed in the bottom wall and extending in the insertion direction of the card-shaped electronic device, and said drawer member is made from a flat sheet and comprises an operating section including said operating end portion and mounted on the bottom wall of the card receiver so as to be slidable in the insertion direction, an elongated aperture formed in the operating section and extending in the insertion direction, and a pair of hook portions projecting from the operating section in opposite directions through the respective slits, said card receiver comprising a guide pin fixed to the bottom wall of the card receiver and running through the elongated aperture, said hook portions and guide pin constituting said connecting means.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said body comprises a flat wall section constituting a bottom of the card storing section, and a pair of guide walls standing from the wall section and extending in the insertion direction, and said card receiver is slidably arranged on the wall section and between the pair of guide walls.
- 6. An apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said ejection mechanism comprises restricting means for limiting the movement of the card receiver between the first and second positions, said restricting means having recesses formed in the respective guide walls and projections projecting from the respective lateral walls of the card receiver into the corresponding respective recesses.
- 7. An apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said card-shaped electronic device comprises a connector disposed on the front end with respect to the insertion direction, and which further comprises a connector mounted on the wall section, for engaging with the connector of the card-shaped electronic device when the card receiver receiving the device is moved to the first position.
- 8. An apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said connector of the body comprises an upper surface substantially parallel to the wall section, and said pressing portion of the card receiver includes a pair of projections for abutting against the front end of the card-shaped electronic device, and a connecting member connecting the projections to each other and extending toward the connector of the body, the connecting member having a given width so that the connecting member slides on the upper surface of the connector of the body when the card receiver is moved from the first position to the second position.
- 9. An electronic apparatus comprising:
- an apparatus body;
- a card-shaped electronic device to be loaded in the apparatus body;
- a card storing section formed in the apparatus body and having an inlet opening open to the outside of the apparatus body, for storing the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening; and
- an injection mechanism for ejecting the card-shaped electronic device from the card storing section;
- said ejection mechanism including
- a card receiver arranged within the card storing section to receive the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening and movable together with the electronic device, and
- a drawer member for drawing the receiver toward the inlet opening so as to eject the card-shaped electronic device, the drawer member having an operating end portion allowing a finger to be hooked and attached to the receiver, the drawer member being movable relative to the receiver between a pushed-in position wherein the operating end portion is located within the inlet opening and a drawn-out position wherein the operating end portion projects outwardly through the inlet opening.
- 10. An apparatus according to claim 9, wherein said ejection mechanism comprises means for supporting the card receiver to be movable in an insertion direction of the card-shaped electronic device between a first position wherein the electronic device received by the receiver is stored in the card storing section and a second position wherein a rear end portion of the electronic device received by the receiver projects outward from the inlet opening.
- 11. An apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said ejection mechanism comprises connecting means for engaging the card receiver and the drawer member when the drawer member is moved to the draw-out position so as to move the card receiver from the first position to the second position.
- 12. An electronic apparatus comprising:
- an apparatus body;
- a card-shaped electronic device to be loaded in the apparatus body;
- a card storing section formed in the apparatus body and having an inlet opening open to the outside of the apparatus body, for storing the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening;
- an ejection mechanism for ejecting the card-shaped electronic device from the card storing section; and
- a connector arranged in the storing section, to which the inserted card-shaped electronic device is to be connected;
- said ejection mechanism including
- a card receiver arranged within the card storing section to receive the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening and movable together with the electronic device, the card receiver having a pressing portion for pushing the inserted electronic device toward the inlet opening when the receiver is moved toward the inlet opening, the pressing portion including a pair of projections for abutting against a front end of the inserted electronic device, and a connecting member connecting the projections to each other, and
- a drawer member for drawing the receiver toward the inlet opening so as to eject the card-shaped electronic device, the drawer member having an operating end portion allowing a finger to be hooked and attached to the receiver, the drawer member being movable relative to the receiver between a pushed-in position wherein the operating end portion is located within the inlet opening and a drawn-out position wherein the operating end portion projects outward through the inlet opening.
- 13. An apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said connecting member extends toward the connector and has a given width so that the connecting member slides on the connector when the receiver is moved toward the inlet opening.
- 14. An electronic apparatus comprising:
- an apparatus body;
- a card-shaped electronic device to be loaded in the apparatus body;
- a card storing section formed in the apparatus body and having an inlet opening open to the outside of the apparatus body, for storing the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening;
- a connector arranged in the card storing section;
- means for electrically conducting the electronic device with the apparatus body when the electronic device is loaded in the storing section;
- said conducting means comprising
- a card receiver arranged within the card storing section to receive the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening and movable together with the inserted electronic device, the receiver being formed of a conductive material and electrically connected to the apparatus body, the receiver having a pressing portion which abuts against a front end of the inserted card-shaped electronic device so that the receiver is pushed into the card storing section and the card-shaped electronic device is connected to the connector when the electronic device is inserted, and
- a conductive portion provided on the card-shaped electronic body, for contacting with the card receiver as the electronic device is received in the card receiver; and
- a drawer member for drawing the card receiver toward the inlet opening so that the received card-shaped electronic device is pushed toward the inlet opening by the pressing portion.
- 15. An apparatus according to claim 14, wherein said card receiver includes a bottom wall having a size substantially equal to that of the card shaped electronic device, and a pair of lateral walls extending in an insertion direction of the electronic device, so that the received electronic device is mounted on the bottom wall and located between the lateral walls, and each of the lateral walls having a contact portion for contacting the conductive portion of the electronic device.
- 16. An electronic apparatus comprising;
- an apparatus body;
- a card-shaped electronic device to be loaded in the apparatus body and having a body of lateral sides;
- a card storing section formed in the apparatus body and having an inlet opening open to the outside of the apparatus body, for storing the card-shaped electronic device inserted through he inlet opening;
- a first connector arranged in the storing section, to which the inserted card-shaped electronic device is to be connected; and
- means for electrically conducting the electronic device with the apparatus body when the electronic device is loaded in the storing section;
- said conducting means comprising
- a card receiver arranged within the card storing section to receive the card-shaped electronic device inserted through the inlet opening, the receiver being formed of a conductive material and electrically connected to the apparatus body; ad
- a conductive portion provided on each of the lateral sides of the card-shaped electronic body, for contacting with the card receiver as the electronic device is received in the card receiver.
- 17. An apparatus according to claim 16, wherein said card-shaped electronic device includes an interface card which has a rear end located near the inlet opening when the card is received by the card receiver, the rear end being provided with a second connector to which an expansion device is to be connected.
- 18. An apparatus according to claim 16, wherein said card-shaped electronic device includes a memory card.
- 19. An apparatus according to claim 16, which further comprising means for supporting the card receiver to be movable together with the inserted card-shaped electronic device, the card receiver having a pressing portion which abuts against a front end of the inserted card-shaped electronic device so that the receiver is pushed into the card storing section and the card-shaped electronic device is connected to the first connector when the electronic device is inserted; and
- a drawing member for drawing the card receiver toward the inlet opening so that the received card-shaped electronic device is pushed toward the inlet opening by the pressing portion.
