Claims
- 1. A control system for use with an enclosed structure including (a) a wall panel having a corrugated interior surface, (b) a locking bar disposed within the wall panel, (c) a locking finger secured to the locking bar and housed in the corrugated interior surface, the corrugated interior surface having an opening therein, (d) actuating means for actuating the locking bar between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein in the locked position the locking bar positions the locking finger to extend out of the opening in the corrugated interior surface, and (e) a drawer having a channel arranged to couple with the locking finger extending out of the opening in the corrugated interior surface when the actuating means has actuated the locking bar into the locked position to prevent movement of the drawer, said control system comprising:
- input means for inputting information;
- control means for controlling the actuating means to lock and unlock the drawer of the enclosed structure in accordance with the information input by said input means, said control means unlocking the drawer of the enclosed structure in response to input by said input means of valid information, and preventing the unlocking of the drawer of the enclosed structure for a predetermined amount of time in response to input by said input means of invalid information for a predetermined successive number of times.
- 2. A control system according to claim 1, wherein said control means comprises:
- storing means for storing access information; and
- access control means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with (i) the information input by said input means and (ii) the access information stored in said storing means.
- 3. A control system according to claim 2, wherein said input means comprises means for inputting a user code,
- wherein the access information includes valid user codes, and
- wherein said access control means comprises (a) means for comparing a user code input by said input means with valid user codes stored in said storing means and for producing a comparison result and (b) means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with the comparison result.
- 4. A control system according to claim 3, wherein said input means comprises a keypad, and
- wherein said storing means comprises a non-volatile memory.
- 5. A control system according to claim 2, further comprising access changing means for changing the access informations to red in said storing means.
- 6. A control system according to claim 1, wherein said control means further comprises:
- timing means for measuring elapsed time; and
- time control means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with the elapsed time measured by said timing means.
- 7. A control system according to claim 6, wherein said time control means comprises time locking means for locking the locking mechanism in accordance with the elapsed time measured by said timing means.
- 8. A control system according to claim 7, wherein said time locking means comprises means for locking the locking mechanism in accordance with said timing means measuring an elapsed time greater than a predetermined time.
- 9. A control system according to claim 8, further comprising changing means for changing the predetermined time.
- 10. A control system according to claim 6, further comprising:
- a port for connection to an external device; and
- downloading means for transmitting data from said control system to the external device through said port.
- 11. A control system according to claim 1, wherein the locking finger is formed from a flexible material.
- 12. A control system according to claim 1, wherein said control means comprises storing means for storing access information, means for determining whether the information input by said input means is valid information or invalid information in accordance with the access information stored in said storing means, and access changing means for changing the access information stored in said storing means, said access changing means comprising means for performing an operation of changing the access information stored in said storing means and for ending the operation in response to elapse of a predetermined period of time without input by said input means.
- 13. A control system for use with an enclosed structure including (a) a wall panel having a corrugated interior surface, (b) a locking bar disposed within the wall panel, (c) a locking finger secured to the locking bar and housed in the corrugated interior surface, the corrugated interior surface having an opening therein, (d) actuating means for actuating the locking bar between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein in the locked position the locking bar positions the locking finger to extend out of the opening in the corrugated interior surface, and (e) a lockable component having a channel arranged to couple with the locking finger extending out of the opening in the corrugated interior surface when the actuating means has actuated the locking bar into the locked position to prevent movement of the lockable component, said control system comprising:
- input means for inputting information;
- memory means for storing valid user codes for access to the lockable component; and
- control means for controlling the actuating means in accordance with user input from said input means, said control means comprising (a) means for validating information input by said input means against valid user codes stored in said memory means and for producing a validation result, (b) unlocking means for controlling the actuating means to unlock the lockable component in accordance with the validation result, and (c) preventing means for preventing unlocking by said unlocking means for a predetermined amount of time in response to the validation result being invalid for a predetermined number of successive inputs by said input means.
- 14. A control system according to claim 13, further comprising access changing means for changing the valid user codes stored in said memory means.
- 15. A control system according to claim 13, wherein said control means further comprises:
- timing means for measuring elapsed time; and
- time control means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with the elapsed time measured by said timing means.
- 16. A control system according to claim 15, wherein said time control means comprises time locking means for locking the locking mechanism in accordance with the elapsed time measured by said timing means.
- 17. A control system according to claim 16, wherein said time locking means comprises means for locking the locking mechanism in accordance with said timing means measuring an elapsed time greater than a predetermined time.
- 18. A control system according to claim 13, wherein the locking finger is formed from a flexible material.
- 19. A control system according to claim 13, further comprising access changing means for changing the valid user codes stored in said memory means, said access changing means comprising means for performing an operation of changing the valid user codes stored in said memory means and for ending the operation in response to elapse of a predetermined period of time without input by said input means.
- 20. A lockable enclosed structure, comprising:
- a plurality of support posts;
- a base to which said support posts are secured;
- first and second wall panels disposed vertically on said base and secured to said support posts, with said wall panels having a corrugated interior surface;
- a top platform covering said support posts and said wall panels;
- a locking bar disposed within said first wall panel;
- at least one locking finger secured to said locking bar and housed in said corrugated interior surface, said corrugated interior surface having an opening therein;
- actuating means for actuating said locking bar between a locked position and an unlocked position, wherein in the locked position said locking bar positions said locking finger to extend out of the opening in said corrugated interior surface;
- a drawer having a channel arranged to couple with said locking finger extending out of the opening in said corrugated interior surface when said actuating means has actuated said locking bar into the locked position to prevent movement of said drawer; and
- control means for controlling said actuating means, said control means comprising input means for inputting information, storing means for storing access information, and access control means for controlling said locking mechanism in accordance with (i) the information input by said input means and (ii) the access information stored in said storing means.
- 21. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 20, wherein said control means comprises:
- input means for inputting information;
- storing means for storing access information; and
- access control means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with (i) the information input by said input means and (ii) the access information stored in said storing means.
- 22. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 21, wherein said input means comprises means for inputting a user code,
- wherein said storing means comprises user code storing means for storing valid user codes, and
- wherein said access control means comprises (a) means for comparing a user code input by said input means with valid user codes stored in said user code storing means and for producing a comparison result and (b) means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with the comparison result.
- 23. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 22, wherein said input means comprises a keypad, and
- wherein said user code storing means comprises a non-volatile memory.
- 24. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 20, wherein said control means further comprises:
- timing means for measuring elapsed time; and
- time control means for controlling the locking mechanism in accordance with the elapsed time measured by said timing means.
- 25. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 24, wherein said time control means comprises means for locking the locking mechanism in accordance with the elapsed time measured by said timing means.
- 26. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 25, wherein said time locking means comprises means for locking the locking mechanism in accordance with said timing means measuring an elapsed time greater than a predetermined time.
- 27. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 20, wherein said corrugated interior surface is disposed at a first side of said first wall panel, and said locking bar is disposed at a second side of said first wall panel opposite to the first side.
- 28. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 20, wherein said drawer is configured to be insertable and removable from said lockable enclosed structure, and wherein said locking finger comprises means for, when said actuating means has actuated said locking bar into the locked position and said drawer is not fully inserted in said lockable enclosed structure, allowing said drawer to move, and for, when said actuating means has actuated said locking bar into the locked position and said drawer is fully inserted in said lockable enclosed structure, preventing said drawer from moving.
- 29. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 19, wherein said locking finger is formed from a flexible material.
- 30. A lockable enclosed structure according to claim 19, further comprising access changing means for changing the access information stored in said storing means, said access changing means comprising means for performing an operation of changing the access information stored in said storing means and for ending the operation in response to elapse of a predetermined period of time without input by said input means.
