The disclosure relates to electronic devices wirelessly receiving power and methods for operating the same.
The wireless power transmission technology using the magnetic induction scheme is a scheme for transferring power by the electromagnetic field induced in the coil. The wireless power transmission device applies a current to the transmission coil to generate an electromagnetic field, and an induced electromotive force is formed in the reception coil of the wireless power receiving device, so that power may be wirelessly transmitted.
An electronic device 400 (e.g., a wireless power transceiver) wirelessly transmitting/receiving power may wirelessly transmit power to another electronic device or wirelessly receive power from the other electronic device. The electronic device wirelessly transmitting and receiving power may be implemented to transmit or receive power using one coil. The electronic device wirelessly transmitting and receiving power may perform an operation for wirelessly transmitting power to another electronic device in transmission mode. The electronic device wirelessly transmitting and receiving power may perform an operation for wirelessly receiving power from another electronic device in reception mode.
The electronic device wirelessly transmitting and receiving power may determine whether to operate in transmission mode or reception mode based on a user setting of the electronic device, an input through a physical button of the electronic device, identification of information through a hall IC, or a signal through out-band communication so as to operate in transmission mode or reception mode.
The above information is presented as background information only to assist with an understanding of the disclosure. No determination has been made, and no assertion is made, as to whether any of the above might be applicable as prior art with regard to the disclosure.
Aspects of the disclosure are to address at least the above-mentioned problems and/or disadvantages and to provide at least the advantages described below. Accordingly, an aspect of the disclosure is to provide electronic devices wirelessly receiving power and methods for operating the same.
Additional aspects will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be apparent from the description, or may be learned by practice of the presented embodiments.
In accordance with an aspect of the disclosure, an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a converter configured to perform a direct current (DC)/DC power conversion operation, a power conversion circuit electrically or operatively connected to the converter and configured to perform an alternating current (AC)/DC power conversion operation, a coil electrically or operatively connected to the power conversion circuit, a motion sensor configured to detect a motion of the electronic device, memory storing one or more computer programs, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the memory and the converter, the power conversion circuit, or the motion sensor, wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to identify an impedance variation at at least one point in the electronic device, identify a motion variation in the electronic device through the motion sensor based on the impedance variation exceeding a first reference value, set a delay time based on the motion variation exceeding a second reference value, and transmit first driving power to an external electronic device through the coil according to an elapse of the delay time.
In accordance with another aspect of the disclosure, a method performed by an electronic device is provided. The method includes identifying an impedance variation at at least one point in the electronic device, identifying a motion variation in the electronic device through a motion sensor of the electronic device based on the impedance variation exceeding a first reference value, setting a delay time based on the motion variation exceeding a second reference value, and transmitting first driving power to an external electronic device through a coil of the electronic device according to an elapse of the delay time.
In accordance with another aspect of the disclosure, one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing one or more computer programs including computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to perform operations, is provided. The one or more operations include identifying an impedance variation at at least one point in the electronic device, identifying a motion variation in the electronic device through a motion sensor of the electronic device based on the impedance variation exceeding a first reference value, setting a delay time based on the motion variation exceeding a second reference value, and transmitting first driving power to an external electronic device through a coil of the electronic device according to an elapse of the delay time.

According to one embodiment, as at least part of the data processing or computation, the processor 320 may store a command or data received from another component (e.g., the sensor module 376 or the communication module 390) in volatile memory 332, process the command or the data stored in the volatile memory 332, and store resulting data in non-volatile memory 334. The auxiliary processor 323 may control at least some of functions or states related to at least one component (e.g., the display module 360, the sensor module 376, or the communication module 390) among the components of the electronic device 301, instead of the main processor 321 while the main processor 321 is in an inactive (e.g., sleep) state, or together with the main processor 321 while the main processor 321 is in an active state (e.g., executing an application). According to an embodiment, the auxiliary processor 323 (e.g., an image signal processor or a communication processor) may be implemented as part of another component (e.g., the camera module 380 or the communication module 390) functionally related to the auxiliary processor 323. According to an embodiment, the auxiliary processor 323 (e.g., the neural processing unit) may include a hardware structure specified for artificial intelligence model processing. The artificial neural network may be a deep neural network (DNN), a convolutional neural network (CNN), a recurrent neural network (RNN), a restricted Boltzmann machine (RBM), a deep belief network (DBN), a bidirectional recurrent deep neural network (BRDNN), deep Q-network or a combination of two or more thereof but is not limited thereto. The artificial intelligence model may, additionally or alternatively, include a software structure other than the hardware structure.
The memory 330 may store various data used by at least one component (e.g., the processor 320 or the sensor module 376) of the electronic device 301. The various data may include, for example, software (e.g., the program 340) and input data or output data for a command related thereto. The memory 330 may include the volatile memory 332 or the non-volatile memory 334.
The program 340 may be stored in the memory 330 as software, and may include, for example, an operating system (OS) 342, middleware 344, or an application 346.
The input module 350 may receive a command or data to be used by other component (e.g., the processor 320) of the electronic device 301, from the outside (e.g., a user) of the electronic device 301. The input module 350 may include, for example, a microphone, a mouse, a keyboard, keys (e.g., buttons), or a digital pen (e.g., a stylus pen).
The sound output module 355 may output sound signals to the outside of the electronic device 301. The sound output module 355 may include, for example, a speaker or a receiver. The speaker may be used for general purposes, such as playing multimedia or playing record. The receiver may be used for receiving incoming calls. According to an embodiment, the receiver may be implemented as separate from, or as part of the speaker.
The display module 360 may visually provide information to the outside (e.g., a user) of the electronic device 301. The display 360 may include, for example, a display, a hologram device, or a projector and control circuitry to control a corresponding one of the display, hologram device, and projector. According to an embodiment, the display 360 may include a touch sensor configured to detect a touch, or a pressure sensor configured to measure the intensity of a force generated by the touch.
The audio module 370 may convert a sound into an electrical signal and vice versa. According to an embodiment, the audio module 370 may obtain the sound via the input module 350, or output the sound via the sound output module 355 or a headphone of an external electronic device (e.g., an electronic device 302) directly (e.g., wiredly) or wirelessly coupled with the electronic device 301.
The sensor module 376 may detect an operational state (e.g., power or temperature) of the electronic device 301 or an environmental state (e.g., a state of a user) external to the electronic device 301, and then generate an electrical signal or data value corresponding to the detected state. According to an embodiment, the sensor module 376 may include, for example, a gesture sensor, a gyro sensor, an atmospheric pressure sensor, a magnetic sensor, an accelerometer, a grip sensor, a proximity sensor, a color sensor, an infrared (IR) sensor, a biometric sensor, a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, or an illuminance sensor.
The interface 377 may support one or more specified protocols to be used for the electronic device 301 to be coupled with the external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device 302) directly (e.g., wiredly) or wirelessly. According to an embodiment, the interface 377 may include, for example, a high definition multimedia interface (HDMI), a universal serial bus (USB) interface, a secure digital (SD) card interface, or an audio interface.
A connecting terminal 378 may include a connector via which the electronic device 301 may be physically connected with the external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device 302). According to an embodiment, the connecting terminal 378 may include, for example, a HDMI connector, a USB connector, a SD card connector, or an audio connector (e.g., a headphone connector).
The haptic module 379 may convert an electrical signal into a mechanical stimulus (e.g., a vibration or motion) or electrical stimulus which may be recognized by a user via his tactile sensation or kinesthetic sensation. According to an embodiment, the haptic module 379 may include, for example, a motor, a piezoelectric element, or an electric stimulator.
The camera module 380 may capture a still image or moving images. According to an embodiment, the camera module 380 may include one or more lenses, image sensors, image signal processors, or flashes.
The power management module 388 may manage power supplied to the electronic device 301. According to one embodiment, the power management module 388 may be implemented as at least part of, for example, a power management integrated circuit (PMIC).
The battery 389 may supply power to at least one component of the electronic device 301. According to an embodiment, the battery 389 may include, for example, a primary cell which is not rechargeable, a secondary cell which is rechargeable, or a fuel cell.
The communication module 390 may support establishing a direct (e.g., wired) communication channel or a wireless communication channel between the electronic device 301 and the external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device 302, the electronic device 304, or the server 308) and performing communication via the established communication channel. The communication module 390 may include one or more communication processors that are operable independently from the processor 320 (e.g., the application processor (AP)) and supports a direct (e.g., wired) communication or a wireless communication. According to an embodiment, the communication module 390 may include a wireless communication module 392 (e.g., a cellular communication module, a short-range wireless communication module, or a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) communication module) or a wired communication module 394 (e.g., a local area network (LAN) communication module or a power line communication (PLC) module). A corresponding one of these communication modules may communicate with the external electronic device 304 via a first network 398 (e.g., a short-range communication network, such as Bluetooth™ wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) direct, or infrared data association (IrDA)) or a second network 399 (e.g., a long-range communication network, such as a legacy cellular network, a 5G network, a next-generation communication network, the Internet, or a computer network (e.g., local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN)). These various types of communication modules may be implemented as a single component (e.g., a single chip), or may be implemented as multi components (e.g., multi chips) separate from each other. The wireless communication module 392 may identify or authenticate the electronic device 301 in a communication network, such as the first network 398 or the second network 399, using subscriber information (e.g., international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI)) stored in the subscriber identification module 396.
The wireless communication module 392 may support a 5G network, after a 4G network, and next-generation communication technology, e.g., new radio (NR) access technology. The NR access technology may support enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), massive machine type communications (mMTC), or ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC). The wireless communication module 392 may support a high-frequency band (e.g., the mmWave band) to achieve, e.g., a high data transmission rate. The wireless communication module 392 may support various technologies for securing performance on a high-frequency band, such as, e.g., beamforming, massive multiple-input and multiple-output (massive MIMO), full dimensional MIMO (FD-MIMO), array antenna, analog beam-forming, or large scale antenna. The wireless communication module 392 may support various requirements specified in the electronic device 301, an external electronic device (e.g., the electronic device 304), or a network system (e.g., the second network 399). According to an embodiment, the wireless communication module 392 may support a peak data rate (e.g., 20 Gbps or more) for implementing eMBB, loss coverage (e.g., 164 dB or less) for implementing mMTC, or U-plane latency (e.g., 0.5 ms or less for each of downlink (DL) and uplink (UL), or a round trip of 1 ms or less) for implementing URLLC.
The antenna module 397 may transmit or receive a signal or power to or from the outside (e.g., the external electronic device). According to an embodiment, the antenna module 397 may include one antenna including a radiator formed of a conductor or conductive pattern formed on a substrate (e.g., a printed circuit board (PCB)). According to an embodiment, the antenna module 397 may include a plurality of antennas (e.g., an antenna array). In this case, at least one antenna appropriate for a communication scheme used in a communication network, such as the first network 398 or the second network 399, may be selected from the plurality of antennas by, e.g., the communication module 390. The signal or the power may then be transmitted or received between the communication module 390 and the external electronic device via the selected at least one antenna. According to an embodiment, other parts (e.g., radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC)) than the radiator may be further formed as part of the antenna module 397.
According to an embodiment, the antenna module 397 may form a mmWave antenna module. According to an embodiment, the mmWave antenna module may include a printed circuit board, a RFIC disposed on a first surface (e.g., the bottom surface) of the printed circuit board, or adjacent to the first surface and capable of supporting a designated high-frequency band (e.g., the mmWave band), and a plurality of antennas (e.g., array antennas) disposed on a second surface (e.g., the top or a side surface) of the printed circuit board, or adjacent to the second surface and capable of transmitting or receiving signals of the designated high-frequency band.
At least some of the above-described components may be coupled mutually and communicate signals (e.g., commands or data) therebetween via an inter-peripheral communication scheme (e.g., a bus, general purpose input and output (GPIO), serial peripheral interface (SPI), or mobile industry processor interface (MIPI)).
According to an embodiment, instructions or data may be transmitted or received between the electronic device 301 and the external electronic device 304 via the server 308 coupled with the second network 399. The external electronic devices 302 or 304 each may be a device of the same or a different type from the electronic device 301. According to an embodiment, all or some of operations to be executed at the electronic device 301 may be executed at one or more of the external electronic devices 302, 304, or 308. For example, if the electronic device 301 should perform a function or a service automatically, or in response to a request from a user or another device, the electronic device 301, instead of, or in addition to, executing the function or the service, may request the one or more external electronic devices to perform at least part of the function or the service. The one or more external electronic devices receiving the request may perform the at least part of the function or the service requested, or an additional function or an additional service related to the request, and transfer an outcome of the performing to the electronic device 301. The electronic device 301 may provide the outcome, with or without further processing of the outcome, as at least part of a reply to the request. To that end, a cloud computing, distributed computing, mobile edge computing (MEC), or client-server computing technology may be used, for example. The electronic device 301 may provide ultra low-latency services using, e.g., distributed computing or mobile edge computing. In another embodiment, the external electronic device 304 may include an Internet-of-things (IoT) device. The server 308 may be an intelligent server using machine learning and/or a neural network. According to an embodiment, the external electronic device 304 or the server 308 may be included in the second network 399. The electronic device 301 may be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart city, smart car, or healthcare) based on 5G communication technology or IoT-related technology.

The converter 403 may be a DC-DC conversion circuit. For example, the converter 403 may be configured to perform a DC/DC power conversion operation. The implementation method of the converter 403 is not limited. According to an embodiment, the converter 403 may operate as a transmission converter. The transmission converter may be a converter used for an operation related to transmission of wireless power when the electronic device 400 (e.g., the electronic device 230) transmits wireless power. The converter 403 may convert the voltage of the received power and provide the converted voltage to the power conversion circuit 402. The converter 403 may change the voltage of the received DC power and provide the DC power having the changed voltage (or driving voltage) to the power conversion circuit 402. The converter 403 may perform low drop-output (LDO) conversion. The converter 403 may be implemented as a converter that operates as a switch. The converter 403 may be a linear regulator operating even at a low potential difference between both the ends of the converter 403. The converter 403 may include a diode and a transistor (e.g., a field effect transistor (FET)). According to an embodiment, the converter 403 may operate as a reception converter. The reception converter may be a converter used for an operation related to reception of wireless power when the electronic device 400 (e.g., the electronic device 230) receives wireless power.
The power conversion circuit 402 may be an AC-DC conversion circuit. For example, the power conversion circuit 402 may be configured to perform an AC/DC power conversion operation. The power conversion circuit 402 may be connected to the converter 403. According to an embodiment, when the electronic device 400 transmits wireless power, the power conversion circuit 402 may operate as an inverter that converts direct current into alternating current. For example, AC power may be output using the driving voltage provided from the converter 403. The plurality of switches included in the power conversion circuit 402 may constitute, e.g., a full bridge circuit, but the number of switches or the type of bridge circuit is not limited. For example, when a full bridge circuit is configured, one end of the coil 401 may be connected to a connection point between a pair of switches through a capacitor, and the other end of the coil 401 may be connected to a connection point between the other pair of switches. A plurality of switches (e.g., the first switch, the second switch, the third switch, and the fourth switch) included in the power conversion circuit 402 may be controlled in an on state or an off state. For example, in order to generate AC power, the controller 406 may control the first switch and the third switch in the on state while controlling the second switch and the fourth switch in the off state during a first period, and may control the second switch and the fourth switch in the on state while controlling the first switch and the third switch in the off state during a second period, and may repeatedly perform the above-described control operations. The controller 406 may provide a control signal for generating the above-described AC power to the plurality of switches included in the power conversion circuit 402. Here, not only outputting the control signal but also refraining from outputting the control signal may be referred to as control of the controller 406. For example, outputting the first control signal for generating AC power having a first frequency to the power conversion circuit 402 may mean that the controller 406 outputs a control signal for controlling the first switch and the third switch in the on state for a period corresponding to the first frequency, then outputs a control signal for controlling a second switch and a fourth switch in the on state for a period corresponding to the first frequency, and repeats the above-described output operations. Meanwhile, outputting the second control signal for generating the AC power having the second frequency to the power conversion circuit 402 may mean that the controller 406 outputs a control signal control signal for controlling the first switch and the third switch in the on state for the period corresponding to the second frequency, then outputs a control signal control signal for controlling the second switch and the fourth switch in the on state for the period corresponding to the second frequency, and repeats the above-described output operations. In this case, the period corresponding to the second frequency may be different from the period corresponding to the first frequency. The controller 406 may control at least one of the converter 403 or the power conversion circuit 402 to apply power to the coil 401. According to an embodiment, when the electronic device 400 (e.g., the electronic device 230) receives wireless power, the power conversion circuit 402 may operate as a rectifier that converts AC into DC.
AC power generated by the power conversion circuit 402 may be applied to the coil 401. The coil 401 may be connected to the power conversion circuit 402. The coil 401, together with a capacitor, may form a resonant circuit. The coil 401 may form a magnetic field based on the applied AC power. As the magnetic field passing through the cross section of the coil 401 is changed over time, an induced electromotive force (e.g., current, voltage, or power) may be induced around the coil 401. The power conversion circuit 402 may output DC power according to the induced electromotive force induced in the coil 401. The power conversion circuit 402 may operate as a rectifier. The electronic device 400 (e.g., the controller 406) may identify the output voltage Vrect output from the power conversion circuit 402 to the converter 403.
At least a portion of the charger 404 may perform buck conversion and/or boost conversion and, for example, the charger 404 may include a 3-level converter. The charger 404 may perform boost conversion and supply power to the power conversion circuit 402. The charger 404 may perform a first conversion operation, and the converter 403 may perform a second conversion operation. The charger 404 may provide power for charging the battery 405 using the power provided from the converter 403. The battery 405 may receive charging power from the charger 404.
The motion sensor 407 may be a sensor for identifying the motion of the electronic device 400. The controller 406 may identify a motion variation in the electronic device 400 using the motion sensor 407. The controller 406 may identify whether the electronic device 400 is in a stationary state in which the motion variation in the electronic device 400 is 0 or in a moving state in which the motion variation in the electronic device 400 exceeds 0, using the motion sensor 407. The implementation method of the motion sensor 407 is not limited.
According to an embodiment, the electronic device 400 may include a demodulation circuit. The demodulation circuit may demodulate a signal (e.g., a voltage applied to two opposite ends of the coil 401) applied to the coil 401 to output a demodulation signal. For example, the demodulation circuit may include a mixer and/or a multiplier circuit for removing a carrier component (e.g., 100 kHz to 210 kHz, which is the frequency of AC power) for wireless power transmission. The demodulation circuit may additionally filter (low pass filtering) and output the demodulation signal. The demodulation circuit may include a low-pass filter.

When the first switch 501 is turned on in a second direction (e.g., the direction input to the converter 403), the power output from the converter 403 may not pass through the first switch 501, but the power input to the converter 403 may pass through the first switch 501. The controller 406 may control the first switch 501 to be turned off in both the directions.
The second switch 502 may be connected to the power source 503. The controller 406 may control the flow of current in the electronic device 400 by controlling the second switch 502. For example, when the second switch 502 is turned on in the first direction (e.g., the direction input to the power source 503), the power output from the power source 503 may not pass through the second switch 502, but the power input to the power source 503 may pass through the second switch 502. When the second switch 502 is turned on in the second direction (e.g., the direction output from the power source 503), the power output from the power source 503 may pass through the second switch 502, but the power input to the power source 503 may not pass through the second switch 502. The controller 406 may control the second switch 502 to be turned off in both the directions.
The electronic device 400 may identify an impedance variation due to an approach or mounting of an external object (e.g., the wireless power transmission device 210, the wireless power reception device 220, or the other electronic device 240) using the sensing pattern 504 disposed in the area where the coil 401 is positioned. The controller 406 may apply designated power to the sensing pattern 504. For example, the controller 406 may continuously or periodically apply designated power to the sensing pattern 504.

The sensing circuit 506 may identify the impedance value between the sensing pattern 504 and the external object as the external object approaches or contacts (or mounts) the electronic device 400. The electronic device 400 may transmit a ping signal (or ping energy) only when the impedance variation at at least one point (e.g., in the area where the coil 401 is positioned) meets a designated condition, thereby reducing the consumption of standby power of the electronic device 400. When the impedance variation at at least one point in the electronic device 400 is less than or equal to the first reference value, the electronic device 400 may not transmit the ping signal. For example, when the impedance variation at at least one point in the electronic device 400 is less than or equal to the first reference value, the electronic device 400 may identify the impedance variation continuously or periodically. In operation 705, according to an embodiment, the electronic device 400 (e.g., the controller 406) may identify a motion variation in the electronic device 400. The electronic device 400 may identify the motion variation in the electronic device 400 through the motion sensor 407. The “delay time” may be a period of time from a time when a designated condition (e.g., impedance variation>first reference value, and motion variation>second reference value) is met until the electronic device 400 transmits initial driving power (e.g., a ping signal) through the coil 401. The “driving power (e.g., a ping signal)” may be power for driving an electronic device (e.g., the wireless power reception device 220 or another electronic device 240) around the electronic device 400. The electronic device (e.g., the wireless power reception device 220 or the other electronic device 240) around the electronic device 400 may drive at least one internal component (e.g., at least one communication module for in-band communication or out-band communication) by receiving driving power (e.g., a ping signal) transmitted from the electronic device 400.

According to an embodiment, the electronic device 400 may determine the delay time based on the motion variation in the electronic device 400. When the motion variation in the electronic device 400 exceeds the reference value (e.g., the second reference value), the electronic device 400 may determine the delay time based on the motion variation in the electronic device 400. The “charging level” may be a ratio of the remaining charge amount to the total capacity. Alternatively, the “charging level” may be the remaining charge amount. Hereinafter, it is described that the charging level is a ratio of the remaining charge amount to the total capacity, but it is understood similarly even when the charging level is the remaining charge amount. When the motion variation in the electronic device 400 exceeds the reference value (e.g., the second reference value), the electronic device 400 may identify the charging level of the battery 405 and determine the delay time based on the charging level of the battery 405. When the charging level of the battery 405 is C (e.g., 40[%]) and the charging level of the battery 405 is D (e.g., 80[%]), the electronic device 400 may calculate different delay times. According to an embodiment, the method may comprise repeating transmitting the driving power and identifying the output voltage, based on maintaining the state in which the output voltage is the reference voltage or less during the first time interval after transmitting the second driving power. The method may comprise controlling the electronic device 230; 301; 400 to operate in a reception mode, based on whether a mode of the electronic device 230; 301; 400 is a transmission mode or the reception mode not being determined, for a designated time from a time when the first driving power is transmitted.
According to an embodiment, the method may comprise transmitting the first driving power to the external electronic device 210; 220; 240; 302 through the coil 401 according to an elapse of a default time, based on the motion variation being the second reference value or less.
According to an embodiment, the method may comprise identifying an output voltage provided from the power conversion circuit 402 to the converter 403 for the default time. The method may comprise controlling the electronic device 230; 301; 400 to operate in a reception mode, based on the output voltage exceeding a reference voltage.

According to an embodiment, the method may comprise controlling the electronic device 230; 301; 400 to operate in a reception mode, based on identifying an event related to pause of wireless charging, after controlling the electronic device 230; 301; 400 to operate in a transmission mode.
According to an embodiment, the method may comprise identifying the impedance variation in a sensing pattern 504 of the electronic device 230; 301; 400 as the impedance variation at the at least one point through a sensing circuit 506 of the electronic device 230; 301; 400.
According to an embodiment, a first end of the converter 403 may be connected to the power conversion circuit 402. The electronic device 230; 301; 400 may further comprise a first switch 501 connected to a second end of the converter 403. The method may comprise controlling the first switch 501 according to whether the electronic device 230; 301; 400 operates in a transmission mode or a reception mode.
According to an embodiment, in a computer-readable recording medium storing instructions configured to perform at least one operation by a controller 406 of an electronic device 230; 301; 400, the at least one operation may comprise identifying an impedance variation at at least one point in the electronic device 230; 301; 400. The at least one operation may comprise identifying a motion variation in the electronic device 230; 301; 400 through a motion sensor 407 of the electronic device 230; 301; 400 based on the impedance variation exceeding a first reference value. The at least one operation may comprise setting a delay time based on the motion variation exceeding a second reference value. According to an embodiment, setting the delay time may include determining the delay time according to the motion variation.

The electronic device according to various embodiments of the disclosure may be one of various types of electronic devices. The electronic devices may include, for example, a portable communication device (e.g., a smartphone), a computer device, a portable multimedia device, a portable medical device, a camera, a wearable device, or a home appliance. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, the electronic devices are not limited to those described above.

For example, according to an embodiment, the module may be implemented in a form of an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC).
Various embodiments as set forth herein may be implemented as software (e.g., the program) including one or more instructions that are stored in a storage medium (e.g., internal memory 336 or external memory 338) that is readable by a machine (e.g., the wireless power transmission device 101). For example, a processor (e.g., the processor 320) of the machine (e.g., the wireless power transmission device 101) may invoke at least one of the one or more instructions stored in the storage medium, and execute it, with or without using one or more other components under the control of the processor. This allows the machine to be operated to perform at least one function according to the at least one instruction invoked. The one or more instructions may include a code generated by a complier or a code executable by an interpreter. The storage medium readable by the machine may be provided in the form of a non-transitory storage medium. Wherein, the term “non-transitory” simply means that the storage medium is a tangible device, and does not include a signal (e.g., an electromagnetic wave), but this term does not differentiate between where data is semi-permanently stored in the storage medium and where the data is temporarily stored in the storage medium.
According to an embodiment, a method according to various embodiments of the disclosure may be included and provided in a computer program product. The computer program products may be traded as commodities between sellers and buyers. The computer program product may be distributed in the form of a machine-readable storage medium (e.g., compact disc read only memory (CD-ROM)), or be distributed (e.g., downloaded or uploaded) online via an application store (e.g., Play Store™), or between two user devices (e.g., smart phones) directly. If distributed online, at least part of the computer program product may be temporarily generated or at least temporarily stored in the machine-readable storage medium, such as memory of the manufacturer's server, a server of the application store, or a relay server.
According to various embodiments, each component (e.g., a module or a program) of the above-described components may include a single entity or multiple entities. Some of the plurality of entities may be separately disposed in different components. According to various embodiments, one or more of the above-described components may be omitted, or one or more other components may be added. Alternatively or additionally, a plurality of components (e.g., modules or programs) may be integrated into a single component. In such a case, according to various embodiments, the integrated component may still perform one or more functions of each of the plurality of components in the same or similar manner as they are performed by a corresponding one of the plurality of components before the integration. According to various embodiments, operations performed by the module, the program, or another component may be carried out sequentially, in parallel, repeatedly, or heuristically, or one or more of the operations may be executed in a different order or omitted, or one or more other operations may be added.
It will be appreciated that various embodiments of the disclosure according to the claims and description in the specification can be realized in the form of hardware, software or a combination of hardware and software.
Any such software may be stored in non-transitory computer readable storage media. The non-transitory computer readable storage media store one or more computer programs (software modules), the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to perform a method of the disclosure.
Any such software may be stored in the form of volatile or non-volatile storage such as, for example, a storage device like read only memory (ROM), whether erasable or rewritable or not, or in the form of memory such as, for example, random access memory (RAM), memory chips, device or integrated circuits or on an optically or magnetically readable medium such as, for example, a compact disk (CD), digital versatile disc (DVD), magnetic disk or magnetic tape or the like. It will be appreciated that the storage devices and storage media are various embodiments of non-transitory machine-readable storage that are suitable for storing a computer program or computer programs comprising instructions that, when executed, implement various embodiments of the disclosure. Accordingly, various embodiments provide a program comprising code for implementing apparatus or a method as claimed in any one of the claims of this specification and a non-transitory machine-readable storage storing such a program.
