Claims
- 1. An electronic musical instrument comprising:
- a central processing unit;
- a plurality of triggering means for generating trigger signals;
- trigger detection means for supplying a trigger signal of said plurality of triggering means as a digital signal to said central processing unit;
- sound signal generating means coupled to said central processing unit, for generating and outputting first sound signals in response to a trigger operation of said plurality of triggering means, and said sound signal generating means generating only one corresponding sound signal for each time when one of said plurality of triggering means is operated;
- automatic sound signal generating means coupled to said central processing unit, for automatically generating and outputting second sound signals according to a kind of a preliminarily designated rhythm, and including means for stopping generation of said second sound signals in the least part of the rhythm is response to a trigger operation of said triggering means; and
- sounding system means for receiving said first sound signals generated by said sound signal generating means or said second sound signals generated by said automatic sound signal generating means, and including means for generating corresponding rhythm sounds.
- 2. The electronic musical instrument of claim 1, wherein said plurality of triggering means comprises a plurality of on/off switch means for producing respective on/off signals as said trigger signals.
- 3. The electronic musical instrument of claim 2, wherein said central processing unit includes timbre register means for storing timbre designation data designating timbres preliminarily allotted to said plurality of triggering means.
- 4. The electronic musical instrument of claim 1, wherein said means for stopping includes means for stopping generation of said second sound signals of a rhythm previously provided by said automatic sound signal generating means, except for particular sound signals of the second sound signals, in response to a trigger operation of said triggering means.
- 5. The electronic musical instrument of claim 4, wherein said particular sound signals comprise sound signals corresponding to a basic part of the rhythm.
- 6. The electronic musical instrument of claim 4, wherein said particular sound signals comprise sound signals corresponding to a bass drum of the rhythm.
- 7. The electronic musical instrument of claim 1, wherein said automatic sound signal generating means includes restarting means for restarting generation of said second sound signals of at least part of a rhythm having been interrupted by a trigger operation of said triggering means at a predetermined timing.
- 8. The electronic musical instrument of claim 1, further comprising timbre selection designation means coupled to said central processing unit for selectively designating the timbre of rhythm sounds generated by said sounding system means, according to said first sound signals in response to a trigger operation of said triggering means.
- 9. The electronic musical instrument of claim 1, further comprising tempo display means coupled to said central processing unit for displaying a tempo for each time after a trigger operation of said triggering means.
- 10. The electronic musical instrument of claim 1, further comprising coupling means for coupling the electronic musical instrument to an external triggering means which includes a plurality of manually operable triggering elements, said external triggering means being operable to supply trigger signals which are supplied to said central processing unit so that said first sound signal is provided from said sound signal generating means.
- 11. The electronic musical instrument of claim 10, wherein said coupling means comprises signal transmission means for receiving an indication signal indicative of at least one of said external triggering elements being operated.
- 12. The electronic musical instrument of claim 10, wherein said external triggering means includes first timbre selection means for setting a timbre with respect to a designated rhythm sound provided by said external triggering means.
- 13. The electronic musical instrument of claim 12, wherein said external triggering means further includes second timbre selection means for setting a timbre with respect to a designated rhythm sound provided by said external triggering means.
- 14. The electronic musical instrument of claim 13, wherein said central processing unit includes means for effecting timbre setting according to a last operated one of said first and second timbre selection means.
- 15. An electronic musical instrument capable of manual rhythm play, comprising:
- manually operable operating means including a plurality of manually operable triggering means for generating trigger signals;
- control means for detecting an operation of said operating means and instructing the generation of only one first rhythm sound signal for each time when operation of one of said plurality of triggering means is detected;
- automatic rhythm play means for instructing an automatic generation of a second rhythm sound signal according to a kind of a preliminarily designated rhythm; and
- rhythm sound signal generating means for generating said first rhythm sound signal and said second rhythm sound signal according to an instruction of both said control means and said automatic rhythm play means; and
- wherein said automatic rhythm play means includes means for entirely stopping the generation of said second rhythm sound signals in response to an operation of said triggering means of said manually operable operation means.
- 16. The electronic musical instrument of claim 15, wherein:
- said control means includes a central processing unit;
- said plurality of triggering means comprises a plurality of on/off switch means for producing respective on/off signals; and
- means for feeding said on/off signals from said on/off switch means to said central processing unit of said control means.
- 17. The electronic musical instrument of claim 16, wherein said central processing unit includes timbre register means for storing timbre designation data designating timbres preliminarily allotted to said triggering means.
- 18. The electronic musical instrument of claim 15, wherein said automatic rhythm play means includes restarting means for restarting a generation of said second rhythm sound signals after having been interrupted by an operation of said manually operable operating means at a predetermined timing.
- 19. The electronic musical instrument of claim 15, further comprising timbre selection designation means coupled to said control means for selectively designating the timbre of a rhythm sound generated by said triggering means of said manually operable operating means.
- 20. The electronic musical instrument of claim 19, wherein said timbre selection designation means includes means for designating timbres of rhythm sounds to be generated for said respective triggering means.
- 21. The electronic musical instrument of claim 15, further comprising tempo display means coupled to said control means for displaying a tempo for each time after operation of said manually operable operating means.
- 22. An electronic keyboard musical instrument capable of manual rhythm play, comprising:
- keyboard means having a plurality of keys for instructing a generation of a note signal when a corresponding key is operated;
- note signal generating means for generating a note signal according to a note signal generation instruction from said keyboard means;
- a central processing unit;
- a plurality of pad operating means provided in a casing with said keyboard means provided thereon;
- pad operation detection means for supplying an operation signal of said plurality of pad operating means as a digital signal to the central processing unit;
- sound signal generating means coupled to said central processing unit, for generating and outputting first sound signals in response to an operation of said plurality of pad operating means, and said sound signal generating means generating only one corresponding sound signal for each time when one of said plurality of pad operating means is operated;
- automatic sound signal generating means coupled to said central processing unit, for automatically generating and outputting second sound signals according to a kind of a preliminarily designated rhythm, and including means for stopping generation of said second sound signals in at least part of the rhythm in response to an operation of said pad operating means; and
- sounding system means for receiving said note signal generated by said note signal generating means, said first sound signals generated by said sound signal generating means or said second sound signals generated by said automatic sound signal generating means, and including means for generating corresponding note or rhythm sounds in response to the signals received thereby.
- 23. The electronic musical instrument of claim 22, wherein said plurality of pad operating means comprises a plurality of on/off switch means for producing respective on/off signals as said operation signals.
- 24. The electronic musical instrument of claim 23, wherein said central processing unit includes timbre register means for storing timbre designation data designating timbres preliminarily allotted to said plurality of pad operating means.
- 25. The electronic musical instrument of claim 22, wherein said means for stopping includes means for stopping generation of said second sound signals of a rhythm previously provided by said automatic sound signal generating means, except for particular sound signals of said second sound signals, in response to an operation of said pad operating means.
- 26. The electronic musical instrument of claim 25, wherein said particular sound signals comprise sound signals corresponding to a basic part of the rhythm.
- 27. The electronic musical instrument of claim 25, wherein said particular sound signals comprise sound signals corresponding to a bass drum of the rhythm.
- 28. The electronic musical instrument of claim 22, wherein said automatic sound signal generating means includes restarting means for restarting generation of said second sound signals of at least part of a rhythm having been interrupted by an operation of said pad operating means in response to operation of at least one key on said keyboard means.
- 29. The electronic musical instrument of claim 22, further comprising timbre selection designation means coupled to said central processing unit for selectively designating the timbre of rhythm sounds generated by said sounding system means, according to said first sound signals in response to an operation of said pad operating means.
- 30. The electronic musical instrument of claim 22, further comprising tempo display means coupled to said central processing unit for displaying a tempo for each time after operation of said pad operating means.
- 31. An electronic keyboard musical instrument capable of manual rhythm play, comprising:
- keyboard means having a plurality of keys for instructing the generation of a note signal when a corresponding key is operated;
- note signal generating means for generating note signal according to a note signal generation instruction from said keyboard means;
- manually operable operating means including a plurality of pad operating means provided in a casing with said keyboard means provided thereon;
- control means for detecting the operation of said operating means and instructing the generation of only one first rhythm sound signal for each time when operation of one of said plurality of pad operating means is detected;
- automatic rhythm play means for instructing an automatic generation of a second rhythm sound signal according to a kind of a preliminarily designated rhythm;
- rhythm sound signal generating means for generating said first rhythm sound signal and said second rhythm sound signal according to an instruction of both said control means and said automatic rhythm play means;
- said automatic rhythm play means including means for entirely stopping generation of said second rhythm sound signals in response to an operation of said pad operating means of said manually operable operating means; and
- outputting means for outputting a signal which is generated by combining said note signal generated by said note signal generating means, said first rhythm sound signal and said second rhythm sound signal generated by said rhythm sound signal generating means.
- 32. The electronic musical instrument according to claim 31, wherein:
- said control means includes a central processing unit;
- said plurality of pad operating means comprises a plurality of on/off switch means for producing respective on/off signals; and
- means for feeding said on/off signals from said on/off switch means to said central processing unit of said control means.
- 33. The electronic musical instrument of claim 32, wherein said central processing unit includes timbre register means for storing timbre designation data designating timbres preliminarily allotted to said pad operating means.
- 34. The electronic musical instrument of claim 31, wherein said automatic rhythm play means includes restarting means for restarting a generation of said second rhythm sound signals after having been interrupted by an operation of said manually operable operating means in response to operation of at least one key on said keyboard means.
- 35. The electronic musical instrument of claim 31, further comprising timbre selection designation means coupled to said control means for selectively designating the timbre of a rhythm of a rhythm sound generated by said pad operating means of said manually operable operating means.
- 36. The electronic musical instrument of claim 35, wherein said timbre selection designation means includes means for designating timbres of rhythm sounds to be generated for said respective pad operating means.
- 37. The electronic musical instrument of claim 31, further comprising tempo display means coupled to said control means for displaying a tempo for each time after operation of said manually operable operating means.
