Claims
- 1. An electronic print board apparatus comprising:
- (a) a writing unit having a writable/erasable writing surface;
- (b) a frame housing and supporting said writing unit;
- (c) a scanning unit supported movably on said frame for optically scanning said writing surface in a prescribed direction and for thereby issuing an electric signal indicative of information read from said writing surface;
- (d) a printing unit for printing the read information on a recording medium in conformity with said electric signal;
- (e) said writing unit comprising a plurality of flat plates having surfaces capable of being written on, said plurality of flat plates being arranged in two stacks within respective portions of the interior of said frame, each said stack extending outwardly from said interior of said frame;
- (f) said writing surface being formed by the two said flat plates located on the outermost front row of said two stacks; and
- (g) each said flat plate of said plurality of flat plates being rotatable, when located in said front row, around a boundary axis dividing said two stacks, to move from one said stack to the other of said two stacks.
- 2. An electronic print board apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each said stack of flat plates is movable between the exterior to said interior of said frame.
- 3. An electronic print board apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising biasing means for moving each said stack of flat plates from said interior of said frame outwardly thereof.
- 4. An electronic print board apparatus according to claim 1, wherein each said plurality of flat plates has a pivot engaged in a groove provided in said frame, said flat plate being rotatable and movable about said pivot.
- 5. An electronic print board according to claim 1, wherein adjacent of said plurality of first plates are connected by respective magnets.
- 6. An electronic print board apparatus comprising:
- (a) a writing unit having a writable/erasable writing surface;
- (b) a frame for housing and supporting said writing unit;
- (c) a scanning unit supported movably on said frame for optically scanning said writing surface in a prescribed direction and issuing an electric signal indicative of information read from said writing surface; and
- (d) a printing unit for printing the read information on a recording medium in conformity with said electric signal;
- (e) said scanning unit including:
- (A) an operating member for providing a prescribed designation;
- (B) drive means for moving said scanning unit over said surface in said prescribed direction;
- (C) a read unit composed of a light source for illuminating said writing surface with light and a sensor for converting reflected light from said writing surface to said electric signal;
- (D) synchronization means for synchronizing the scanning of said writing surface by said read unit with the speed of movement of said scanning unit; and
- (E) a battery for supplying power to said respective elements of said scanning unit.
- 7. An electric print board apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said drive means includes gears rotatably engaging with rack teeth provided on said frame, and a power source for rotating said gears to move said scanning unit in said prescribed direction.
- 8. An electronic print board apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said power source comprises a spiral spring wound by manually moving said scanning unit in a direction opposite to said prescribed direction.
- 9. An electric print board apparatus according to claim 8, further comprising rotation lock and releasing means for engaging with at least one of said gears to prevent it from being rotated, and for releasing said engagement with said gear to enable rotation thereof.
- 10. An electronic print board apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said synchronization means comprises means for optically reading the teeth of at least one of said rotating gears upon the movement of the scanning unit in said prescribed direction and for synchronizing said scanning of said writing surface by said read unit with said moving speed of said scanning unit as a function said reading of said teeth.
- 11. An electronic print board apparatus according to claim 6, wherein said scanning unit is detachable from said frame.
- 12. An electronic print board apparatus comprising:
- (a) a writing unit having a writable/erasable writing surface;
- (b) a frame for housing and supporting said writing unit;
- (c) a scanning unit supported movably on said frame for optically scanning said writing surface in a prescribed direction and for thereby issuing an electric signal indicative of information read from said writing surface; and
- (d) a printing unit for printing the read information on a recording medium in conformity with said electric signal;
- (e) said scanning unit including:
- (A) an operating member for providing a prescribed designation;
- (B) drive means for moving said scanning unit over said writing surface in said prescribed direction;
- (C) a read unit composed of a light source for illuminating said writing surface with light and a sensor for converting reflected light from said writing surface to said electric signal;
- (D) synchronization means for synchronizing the scanning of said writing surface by said read unit with the speed of movement of said scanning unit;
- (E) a battery for supplying power to said respective elements of said scanning unit; and
- (F) transmitting means for transmitting the read information from said read unit in the form of radio signals;
- (f) said printing unit including receiving means for receiving said information in the form of radio signals transmitted from said scanning unit.
