Claims
- 1. A pre-formed concrete building panel comprising in combination:
- (a) a concrete wall section having a height, a width and a thickness, said wall section including an outer surface and an inner surface, said wall section also having an upper edge and an opposed lower edge and first and second opposed vertical edges;
- (b) a plurality of vertical tapered reinforcing concrete ribs integral with the concrete of said wall section and extending along said inner surface, said reinforcing ribs extending substantially perpendicularly from said inner surface by a distance greater than said thickness, said reinforcing ribs each having at least one tapered side and an outermost flat surface substantially parallel to said inner surface.
- (c) reinforcing mesh means disposed in the concrete of said wall section for reinforcing concrete of which said wall section is composed;
- (d) a plurality of reinforcing bars disposed, respectively, in said reinforcing ribs for reinforcing concrete of which said reinforcing ribs are respectively composed;
- (e) a plurality of nailing strips disposed along said respective outermost surfaces of said reinforcing ribs;
- (f) anchoring means for anchoring said nailing strips to said respective outermost flat surfaces of said reinforcing ribs, said anchoring means extending into and being anchored into the concrete of which said respective reinforcing bars are composed; and
- (g) a decorative pattern embossed in said outer surface and integral with said concrete wall section, said decorative pattern including a plurality of irregular, non-repetitive, non-uniform raised concrete surface features on said outer surface that are integral with said concrete wall section, said plurality of irregular, non-repetitive, non-uniform raised concrete surface features being transferred to said outer surface from a pre-existing, hand-crafted wall surface and therefore being substantially identical to a plurality of precisely corresponding irregular, non-repetitive, non-uniform raised surface features of said hand-crafted pre-existing wall section, respectively.
- 2. The preformed concrete building panel of claim 1 further including linking means for securely connecting said reinforcing bars to said reinforcing mesh means.
- 3. The preformed concrete building panel of claim 1 further including a rectangular window opening bounded by two vertical reinforcing ribs and two horizontal reinforcing ribs.
- 4. The preformed concrete building panel of claim 1 further including a rectangular door opening bounded by two vertical reinforcing ribs and a horizontal reinforcing rib at the top of said rectangular door opening.
- 5. A pre-formed concrete building panel comprising in combination:
- (a) a concrete wall section having an inner surface and an outer surface;
- (b) a plurality of vertical tapered concrete reinforcing ribs integral with the concrete of said wall section and extending along said inner surface, said reinforcing ribs extending substantially perpendicularly from said inner surface, said reinforcing ribs each having a flat surface substantially parallel to said inner surface;
- (c) reinforcing mesh disposed in the concrete of said wall section for reinforcing concrete of which said wall section is composed;
- (d) a plurality of reinforcing bars disposed, respectively in said reinforcing ribs for reinforcing concrete of which said reinforcing ribs are respectively composed;
- (e) a plurality of nailing strips attached to said flat surfaces of said reinforcing ribs, respectively; and
- (f) a decorative pattern embossed in said outer surface and integral with said concrete wall section and formed by pressing a layer of plastic material against a surface of a pre-existing wall pattern having a plurality of non-uniform raised surface features that are desired to be transferred to said outer surface in order to cause said plastic material to conform precisely to the shape of said non-uniform raised surface features and thereby assume a pattern that is precisely complementary to said pre-existing wall pattern, curing said layer of plastic material so that said plastic material permanently retains said complementary pattern and removing said cured plastic material from said surface of said pre-existing wall pattern, pouring moist concrete into a mold containing said reinforcing mesh and said reinforcing bars, said mold defining the configuration of said inner surface and said reinforcing ribs, pressing said complementary pattern of said cured layer of plastic material against an exposed surface of moist concrete in said mold, thereby causing moist concrete at said exposed surface to precisely conform to said complementary pattern and embossing a precise replica of said pre-existing wall pattern, including said nonuniform raised features, into said exposed surface of said moist concrete, said exposed surface being said outer surface, and removing said cured layer of plastic material from said exposed surface to expose said decorative pattern embossed therein, each of said plurality of non-uniform raised surface features of said pre-existing wall pattern being precisely reproduced on said outer surface as a respective corresponding substantially identical non-uniform raised concrete surface feature on said outer surface on said concrete wall section and integral with said concrete wall section.
