Claims
- 1. A flooring system, comprising:
at least one flooring panel, each flooring panel comprising:
a plurality of side surfaces; a first upper surface adjacent the plurality of side surfaces; and a second upper surface surrounded by the first upper surface, wherein the first upper surface is lower than the second upper surface, wherein at least one decorative motif is viewable from the first and second upper surfaces, and wherein at least one of the first and second upper surfaces includes an embossed surface.
- 2. The flooring system according to claim 1, further comprising at least one locking mechanism arranged on at least one of the plurality of side surfaces.
- 3. The flooring system according to claim 2, wherein the at least one locking mechanism is not visible from the surface of the at least one flooring panel.
- 4. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the embossed surface comprises at least one depression less than about 0.2 mm in depth.
- 5. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the first upper surface is about 0.794 mm below the second upper surface.
- 6. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the first upper surface has a width of about 3.175 mm.
- 7. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the at least one decorative motif comprises one decorative motif viewable from the first and second upper surfaces.
- 8. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the at least one decorative motif comprises a first decorative motif viewable from the first upper surface and a second decorative motif, different from the first decorative motif, viewable from the second upper surface.
- 9. The flooring system according to claim 8, wherein the first decorative motif comprises at least two decorative sub-motifs.
- 10. The flooring system according to claim 8, wherein the second decorative motif comprises at least two decorative sub-motifs.
- 11. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the at least one decorative motif comprises one decorative motif.
- 12. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the embossed surface is substantially aligned with the at least one decorative motif.
- 13. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein flooring panels within the flooring system are substantially the same shape.
- 14. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein at least one flooring panel within the flooring system has a unique shape.
- 15. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein adjacent flooring panels are joined together with glue.
- 16. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein adjacent flooring panels are joined together without glue.
- 17. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein decorative motifs of adjacent ones of flooring panels are alignable with each other such that a substantially continuous decorative motif is viewable from the upper surfaces of adjacent flooring panels within the flooring system.
- 18. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein the embossed surfaces of adjacent ones of flooring panels are alignable with each other such that a substantially continuous embossed surface pattern is from across adjacent flooring panels within the flooring system.
- 19. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein at least one of the plurality of side surfaces of at least one flooring panel contacts more than one adjacent flooring panel.
- 20. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein at least one flooring panel visually depicts wood.
- 21. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein at least one flooring panel visually depicts ceramic.
- 22. The flooring system according to claim 1, wherein at least one flooring panel visually depicts stone.
