Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment of an allergic condition which comprises administering to a patient in need of such treatment an effective amount of dextrorotatory dihydrochloride of 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid, said treatment being conducted in the absence of levorotatory dihydrochloride of 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid.
- 2. A method for the treatment of asthma which comprises administering to a patient in need of such treatment an effective amount of dextrorotatory dihydrochloride of 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid, said treatment being conducted in the absence of levorotatory dihydrochloride of 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)-phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid.
- 3. A method for the treatment of inflammation which comprises administering to a patient in need of such treatment an effective amount of dextrorotatory dihydrochloride of 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]-acetic acid, said treatment being conducted in the absence of levorotatory dihydrochloride of 2-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl)-phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]acetic acid.
- 4. A method according to claim 1 wherein the administration is oral.
- 5. A method according to claim 1 wherein the administration is parenteral.
- 6. A method according to claim 1 wherein the administration is rectal.
- 7. A method according to claim 3 wherein the administration is topical.
- 8. A method according to claim 1 wherein the effective amount is in the range of from 0.5 to 100 mg per day.
- 9. A method according to claim 8 wherein the amount is in the range of from 2 to 20 mg per day.
