Claims
- 1. An encapsulated bleach comprising:
about 40 to about 99 wt-% core; the core comprising a source of active-halogen; about 1 to about 60 wt-% outer coating; the outer coating comprising alkyl phosphate ester, alkyl sulfate ester, alkyl carboxylate with 6 to 14 carbons, salt thereof, or a mixture thereof.
- 2. The encapsulated bleach of claim 1, further comprising about 5 to about 50 wt-% inner coating; the inner coating comprising inorganic material.
- 3. The encapsulated bleach of claim 2, wherein the inner coating further comprises alkyl phosphate ester, alkyl sulfate ester, alkyl carboxylate with 6 to 14 carbons, salt thereof, or mixture thereof.
- 4. The encapsulated bleach of claim 3, wherein the inner coating comprises inorganic material and alkyl carboxylate with 6 to 14 carbons.
- 5. The encapsulated bleach of claim 3, wherein the alkyl carboxylate comprises a 7-11 carbon carboxylic acid salt.
- 6. The encapsulated bleach of claim 5, wherein the alkyl carboxylate comprises isononanoate.
- 7. The encapsulated bleach of claim 4, wherein the inner coating comprises sodium sulfate, sodium tripolyphosphate, and isononanoate.
- 8. The encapsulated bleach of claim 2, wherein the inner coating comprises builder.
- 9. The encapsulated bleach of claim 4, wherein the builder comprises tripolyphosphate.
- 10. The encapsulated bleach of claim 2, wherein the inner coating comprises inorganic salt.
- 11. The encapsulated bleach of claim 4, wherein the inorganic salt comprises sodium sulfate.
- 12. The encapsulated bleach of claim 1, wherein the outer coating comprises alkyl phosphate ester.
- 13. The encapsulated bleach of claim 6, wherein the alkyl phosphate ester comprises a mixture of alkyl phosphate mono and diesters and the alkyl group comprises 12-20 carbons.
- 14. The encapsulated bleach of claim 13, wherein the mixture of alkyl phosphate mono and diesters comprises a C16-alkyl phosphate monoester and a C16-alkyl phosphate diester.
- 15. The encapsulated bleach of claim 1, wherein the source of active halogen comprises a source of active chlorine.
- 16. The encapsulated bleach of claim 15, wherein the source of active chlorine comprises dichloroisocyanurate.
- 17. The encapsulated bleach of claim 2, comprising about 40 to about 90 wt-% core, about 5 to about 50 wt-% inner coating, and about 1 to about 30 wt-% outer coating.
- 18. The encapsulated bleach of claim 1, comprising about 85 to about 99 wt-% core and about 1 to about 15 wt-% outer coating.
- 19. A solid alkaline cleaning composition comprising:
about 20 to about 70 wt-% of a source of alkalinity; and about 2 to about 80 wt-% of an encapsulated bleach comprising:
about 40 to about 99 wt-% core; the core comprising a source of active-halogen; about 1 to about 60 wt-% outer coating; the outer coating comprising alkyl phosphate ester, alkyl sulfate ester, alkyl carboxylate with 6 to 14 carbons, salt thereof, or a mixture thereof.
- 20. The composition of claim 19, wherein the source of alkalinity comprises sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, alkali metal borate, alkali metal carbonate, alkali metal silicate, amine, or mixture thereof.
- 21. The composition of claim 19, further comprising:
about 5 to about 60 wt-% builder; and about 3 to about 20 wt-% water.
- 22. The composition of claim 21, wherein the builder comprises a polyacrylate, a phosphinopolycarboxylate, a tripolyphosphate, or a combination thereof.
- 23. The composition of claim 19, wherein the encapsulated bleach further comprises about 5 to about 50 wt-% inner coating; the inner coating comprising inorganic material.
- 24. The composition of claim 23, wherein the inner coating further comprises alkyl phosphate ester, alkyl sulfate ester, alkyl carboxylate with 6 to 14 carbons, salt thereof, or mixture thereof.
- 25. The composition of claim 24, wherein the inner coating comprises inorganic material and alkyl carboxylate with 6 to 14 carbons.
- 26. The composition of claim 19, having a form of powder, flake, granule, pellet, tablet, lozenge, puck, briquette, brick, solid block, or unit dose.
