Claims
- 1. An encoded sheet material, comprising:
a sheet of material having a first surface, a second surface disposed opposite the first surface and an edge extending between the first surface and the second surface and peripherally about the sheet of material, the edge having indicia arranged thereon to form a code uniquely identifying the sheet of material.
- 2. The encoded sheet material of claim 1, wherein the indicia are pre-marked during fabrication of the sheet material.
- 3. The encoded sheet material of claim 1, wherein the indicia are marked on the edge after information is recorded on one of the first and second surfaces.
- 4. The encoded sheet material of claim 1, wherein the sheet material comprises paper.
- 5. The encoded sheet material of claim 2, wherein the code is 64 bits long.
- 6. The encoded sheet material of claim 2, wherein the code is visible.
- 7. The encoded sheet material of claim 2, wherein the code is invisible.
- 8. The encoded sheet material of claim 1, wherein the indicia are readable by a scanner device operably connected to, and in conjunction with, a computer-implemented processor.
- 9. The encoded sheet material of claim 8, wherein information is recorded on one of the first and second surfaces.
