Claims
- 1. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2sulfenamide, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, dibenzothiazylsulfide, N-cyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-tert-butylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-oxydiethylenebenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, and N,N-diisopropylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide mixed into the base material, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material, wherein the composition is in the form of a sheet, fiber or combination thereof.
- 2. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the base material comprises at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, chlorinated polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyisoprene, polystyrene, styrene-butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, polyester, polyurethane, polyamide, polyvinylidene chloride, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose, acrylonitrile-butadiene ruber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, natural rubber, and isoprene rubber.
- 3. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the base material comprises at least one polymer selected from the polarity polymer group consisting of polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyethylene, acrylic rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, and chloroprene rubber.
- 4. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the base material has a glass transition point in the operating temperature region.
- 5. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the base material comprises plasticizer, a glycol, water, or a combination thereof.
- 6. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount from 10 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 7. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount of 10 to 300 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 8. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount from 101 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 9. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, further comprising a second moment activator, wherein the second moment activator comprises a benzothiazyl, benzotriazole, or diphenyl acrylate radical and has a glass transition temperature different from the first moment activator, thereby expanding the working temperature region of the composition.
- 10. The energy conversion composition of claim 1, wherein the moment activator is present in a quantity effective for vibration damping, sound absorption, impact absorption, or electromagnetic wave absorption.
- 11. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material selected from the group consisting of chlorinated polyethylene, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyisoprene, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, polyurethane, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl chloride, acrylic rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, styrene-butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, natural rubber, isoprene rubber, butadiene rubber, and chloroprene rubber; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2sulfenamide, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, dibenzothiazylsulfide, N-cyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-tert-butylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-oxydiethylenebenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, and N,N-diisopropylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide mixed into the base material, excluding compounds having a benzothiazyl radical, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material, wherein the composition is in the form of a sheet, fiber, or combination thereof.
- 12. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the base material has a glass transition point in the operating temperature region.
- 13. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the base material comprises plasticizer, a glycol, water, or a combination thereof.
- 14. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount from 10 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 15. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount of 10 to 300 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 16. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount from 101 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 17. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, further comprising a second moment activator, wherein the second moment activator comprises a benzothiazyl, benzotriazole, or diphenyl acrylate radical and has a glass transition temperature different from the first moment activator, thereby expanding the working temperature region of the composition.
- 18. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the moment activator is present in a quantity effective for vibration damping, sound absorption, impact absorption, or electromagnetic wave absorption.
- 19. An energy conversion composition, wherein the composition consists essentially ofa base material wherein the base material comprises at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polymethyl methacrylate, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyisoprene, polystyrene, styrene-butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, polyester, polyurethane, polyamide, polyvinylidene chloride, polyacrylonitrile, polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, natural rubber, chlorinated polyethylene, acrylic rubber, chloroprene rubber and isoprene rubber; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, dibenzothiazylsulfide, N-cyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-tert-butylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-oxydiethylenebenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, and N,N-diisopropylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 20. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the moment activator is N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide.
- 21. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the base material has a glass transition point in the operating temperature region.
- 22. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the base material comprises plasticizer, a glycol, water, or a combination thereof.
- 23. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount from 10 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 24. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount of 10 to 300 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 25. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the moment activator is present in an amount from 101 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 26. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, further comprising a second moment activator, wherein the second moment activator comprises a benzothiazyl, benzotriazole, or diphenyl acrylate radical and has a glass transition temperature different from the first moment activator, thereby expanding the working temperature region of the composition.
- 27. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the moment activator is present in a quantity effective for vibration damping, sound absorption, impact absorption, or electromagnetic wave absorption.
- 28. An energy conversion article, wherein the composition of claim 1 is fixedly deposited on a synthetic resin film or fibrous sheet.
- 29. The energy conversion composition of claim 11, wherein the composition is foamed.
- 30. An energy conversion article, wherein the composition of claim 11 is fixedly deposited on a synthetic resin film or fibrous sheet.
- 31. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the composition is in the form of a sheet, fiber, or combination thereof.
- 32. The energy conversion composition of claim 19, wherein the composition is foamed.
- 33. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, dibenzothiazylsulfide, N-cyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-tert-butylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, N-oxydiethylenebenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide, and N,N-diisopropylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfenamide mixed into the base material, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material, wherein the composition is foamed.
- 34. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material comprising chlorinated polyethylene; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfonamide, mixed into the base material, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 35. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material comprising ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfonamide, mixed into the base material, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 36. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material comprising polyurethane; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfonamide, mixed into the base material, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
- 37. An energy conversion composition, excluding the conversion of electrical into mechanical energy, and excluding the conversion of optical energy, wherein the composition comprisesa base material comprising polypropylene; and a moment activator selected from the group consisting of N,N-dicyclohexylbenzothiazyl-2-sulfonamide, mixed into the base material, in a quantity of 10 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base material.
