DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new shoe device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the enhanced heel shoe attachment device 10 generally comprises a sole extension 12 having a bottom surface 14, a top surface 16, and a perimeter wall 18 coupled to and extending between the top surface 16 and the bottom surface 14.

In an embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 through 5, a plurality of clips 20 is coupled to the sole extension 12. The clips 20 are arranged around a perimeter 22 of the top surface 16 of the sole extension 12. Each clip 20 has a distal portion 24 relative to the sole extension 12 extending over the top surface 16 of the sole extension 12. Thus, the clips 20 are configured for engaging a sole 26 of a flat soled shoe 28 such that the sole extension 12 extends downwardly from the sole 26. The shoe 28 may then be worn with the sole extension 12 as a heeled shoe. The clips 20 include a back clip 30 extending along a back end 32 of the sole extension 12. The clips 20 may also include at least one or a spaced pair of front clips 34 extending along a front side 36 of the sole extension 12. The clips 20 may further include a plurality of lateral clips 38. Each lateral clip 38 extends along an associated lateral side 40 of the sole extension 12.

A cavity 42 extends into the top surface 16 of the sole extension 12. The cavity 42 is positioned adjacent to the back end 32 of the sole extension 12 wherein the cavity 42 is configured to receive a heel 44 extending from the sole 26 when the sole 26 is coupled to the sole extension 12. A bottom surface 48 of the cavity 42 may be sloped wherein the bottom surface 48 extends downwardly and away from the back end 32 of the sole extension 12. A panel 50 may be coupled to and cover completely the bottom surface 14 of the sole extension 12. The panel 50 may be comprised of a soft material such as fabric, resilient rubber, or the like.

In an embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the device 10 provides for a single bracket 56 being utilized instead of the clips 20. Otherwise, the device 10 has similar structure. Except as specifically noted, for all structures which are not mutually exclusive, elements of the embodiments may be combined or interchanged. The bracket 56 is coupled to the sole extension 12 extending around the perimeter 22 of the top surface 16 of the sole extension 12. The bracket 56 has a distal portion 58 relative to the sole extension 12 extending over the top surface 16 of the sole extension 12. The bracket 56 is configured for engaging the sole 26 of the flat soled shoe 28 wherein the sole extension 12 extends downwardly from the sole 26. The bracket 56 has a medial section 60 extending along the back end 32 of the sole extension 12 and outer sections 62 extending along respective lateral sides 40 of the sole extension 12. The bracket 56 may extend a minimum of 60% of the total perimeter 22 around the top surface 16 of the sole extension 12 to provide secure coupling of the sole extension 12 to the shoe 28.

In use, the shoe 28 is coupled to the sole extension 12 by inserting the sole 26 of the shoe 28 into engagement with the clips 20 or bracket 56. The shoe 28 is then worn in a conventional manner coupled to and supported on the device 10.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure.
