Claims
- 1. An environmental filter system comprising: an elongated porous material adapted to substantially filter water before it enters a water inlet, such that water is adapted to pass through said porous material while sediment and other solids are adapted to be at least partially blocked from passing through said porous material; and a permeable body portion enclosed within said porous material.
- 2. The filter of claim 1, wherein said elongated porous material covers at least a portion of the mouth of a curb inlet
- 3. The filter of claim 1, wherein said elongated porous material is adapted to be positioned in the path of a flow of water to a curb inlet.
- 4. The filter of claim 1, wherein said elongated porous material is geotextile material.
- 5. The filter of claim 1, wherein said permeable body portion is turf reinforcement matting.
- 6. The filter of claim 1 further comprising a weight functioning to inhibit movement of said elongated porous material.
- 7. The filter of claim 1 further comprising an envelope of filter material adapted to contain an inlet grate, said envelope secured to said filter.
