Claims
- 1. A method of improving the water-durability of controlled pore porous glass particles which comprises the steps of:
- (a) contacting porous glass particles having a particle size of 40 to 80 mesh with a solution of a chelated zirconium compound; and
- (b) heating the particles to a temperature between about 200.degree. C. and 800.degree. C. to form a thin, continuous layer of an oxide of zirconium on the surfaces of the porous glass particles.
