Ergonomic height-adjustable erotic furniture

Abstract

A piece of ergonomic height-adjustable erotic furniture, having the general appearance of a normal divan, but capable of providing comfortable support for a number of different sexual positions for different heights, body types and health conditions of the participants, improving the quality and variety of their sexual interactions. The furniture has a board made with foam and covered in upholstery, designed to support the bodies of the participants, with inward concave edges and a front convex edge, a header raised with respect to this board, and adjustable height that raises and lowers the board parallel to the floor to facilitate a variety of sexual positions.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

This invention relates generally to the field of furniture and, more particularly, the present invention relates to an ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A rich and varied sexual life is an important aspect of wellbeing in modern life, impacting both the physical and mental health of the sexually active population, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, and marital status. It is known that a relevant factor for improving the quality of sexual relationships is related to the positions in which the sexual act is performed, and that a healthy alternation between different positions provides variety and excitement to sexual life, helping to prevent the boredom derived from monotony and routine, that many couples are interested in avoiding, avoiding and also sometimes need and have the urge to avoid. The traditional pieces of furniture used for sexual intercourse such as beds, sofas, chairs, armchairs, armchairs, coffee tables and jacuzzies, among others can only be utilized for safely practicing a limited set of possible sexual positions, especially if the couple practicing them does not have any particular athletic capabilities. This regularly available furniture offers limited options that are limiting in themselves, as well as uncomfortable, or not safe, or not hygienic, or inconvenient, and not adequate in many cases.

For this reason, providing pieces of furniture specially created to facilitate the practice of different sexual positions in a comfortable and safe way is an undeniable human need yet to be fulfilled. Previous attempts of resolving this need include the creation of a tantra chair, which has a characteristic “m” shape that provides comfort for a few additional sexual positions that regular beds and sofas do not allow. However, these chairs do not have any moving parts, which makes them only comfortable for certain heights of the participants and for certain positions, not allowing for any height adjustment and therefore not facilitating the important level of creativity and comfort that height-adjustment could provide. On the other hand, the pieces of furniture that allow for height adjustment such as Height Adjustable Massage Tables or as the Adjustable bed with single actuator of Canadian Patent application CA2145851A1, and other similar pieces of furniture that just go up and down, are not specifically designed with the sexual positions in mind and, for that reason, they do not provide the adequate range of heights for the different possible sexual positions nor include important additional features for this use as a raised headboard and curved inward concave main body sides.

Besides, the aesthetic aspect of these pieces, cold and rectilinear, brings to mind a hospital environment and does not propitiate an erotic atmosphere.

Other attempts include the sexual health reclining chair of CN201426532Y, comprising a chaise longue section, where the shoulder back of the body is faced upward chair section, a headrest, where the chair fixed support constitutes an agent structure, a chair floating bracket by hinge installed in the chair fixed support on preceding lifting support with the back lifting support are connected, going up chair foreleg at chair fixed support, where the setting is connected with the adjustable legs and feet supports of dividing right and left, as well as WO2001015651A1 which describes an apparatus and method for supporting human body during intimate activity, including a base connected to an adjustable frame and one or more support surfaces to at least partially support the human body. The frame includes a main rail connectable to one or more rails arranged to support the weight of the support surfaces and constructed to move the support surfaces to selected positions. Similarly, WO2014141259A1, describes a Sexual bed with sexual mechanical elevation device embedded therein for use in sexual activities.

Further attempts to improve the pleasure from intercourse and love paly can be found, e.g., in US 2012/0145164 describing an independent support unit configured to support the body weight of the sex partners while providing gripping possibilities and different positioning. U.S. Pat. No. 5,121,516 provides an adjustable footboard attached to the bed. WO 2006/081064 provides an inflatable sex-support unit for a mattress comprising of bladders that are stowed away in layers of bedspread and foams, and that inflate to (i) elevate and support the back area including the buttocks; and (ii) to elevate and support the left and right legs in a widespread posture. However, none of the above designs seems to be satisfactory.

Most of these attempts are very specific and/or specialized as well as not aesthetically pleasant, not erotic, and with an obvious functionality in view of their design which, in many cases make them tasteless to display in a room. In fact, if one was to include this furniture in a personal bedroom, living room or even in a hotel room, it would be evident that the intended use for it is exclusively for sexual activity, making it unsuitable for most people, who would want to have an unnoticeable piece furniture for this use but subtle enough and aesthetic enough to be publicly displayed without embarrassment, with the overall appearance, for example, of a normal divan.

Thus, there is a need for a discreet piece of furniture of adjustable height, having the general appearance of a normal divan, but capable of providing comfortable support for a number of different sexual positions for different heights and shapes and health conditions of the participants, improving the quality and variety of their sexual interactions. A divan of these characteristics, specifically designed to facilitate sexual positions, having a headboard raised with respect to the main body, inward concave main body sides, and adjustable height that raises and lowers the main body parallel to the floor, would constitute a discreet and effective solution to a long felt unresolved need, advancing the field.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main object of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture designed to facilitate different sexual positions (on the knees, sitting, lying and standing) in a safe and comfortable way.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a veiled, discreet piece of erotic furniture, unique in its design, style, conception, utility, and functionality, with the aesthetics and general appearance of a divan, which can be located, placed, and used as such without evidencing its sexual-aid nature.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide comfortable support for a number of different sexual positions for different heights and shapes and health conditions of the participants, including healthy people and couples, without any special or particular physical limitations or disabilities, as well as being susceptible of being used by people with disabilities, older ages and weight issues, as well as problems, pain or minor ailments in the spine. The impact on the quality of the sexual act and sexual satisfaction in all users and particularly in the latter with some limitations of overweight, physical disabilities and advanced age, may even be extraordinary to the point of making a great difference in their sex life.

An ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture created in accordance with the present invention is achieved by combining some or all of the following aspects:

• • a) Specifically designed to facilitate a large variety of sexual positions
  • b) Discreet and susceptible of being displayed as a “normal” piece of furniture with the general appearance of a Divan
  • c) A padded surface having:
    • a. A main body having a flat upper surface
    • b. A headboard raised with respect to the main body
    • c. Inward concave main body sides
    • d. Rounded bottom end opposite to the headboard
  • d) Adjustable height that raises and lowers the main body parallel to the floor through the inclusion of lifting mechanisms (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mixed, known and/or to be developed)
  • e) Appropriately dimensioned for its intended use, with a length of approximately 180 cm, a width of about 70 cm (although this can be variable)
  • f) A structural body or support that hides the lifting mechanisms; and
  • g) A base or floor that gives it the necessary stability when it is not anchored to the floor.An ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture in accordance with the present invention can also include (hide) vibrators under its surface and conveniently positioned for greater relaxation, pleasure, and sensations, as well as attach stirrups as accessories for some embodiments.

Furthermore, a piece of furniture created in accordance with the present invention offers additional advantages when compared to the prior art, these advantages including but not limited to: (a) it stimulates, promotes and contributes to variety, to a more creative intimacy, to preventing monotony, (b) it minimizes problems and inconveniences for overweight and obese people, and for people with minor problems in the spine, (c) it allows maximum penetration in most sexual positions, (d) it maximizes mobility and comfort in many positions, (e) it allows for elegant, aesthetic and decorative designs and presentation making it a decorative piece of furniture besides its erotic functionality (f) it adapts to any size of pairs or participants, in a variety of positions, regardless of the height of the participants or the height that the positions require, and (g) it conveniently aligns the sexual organs of the participants in a coupling to facilitate comfortable intercourse in the chosen positions with less physical effort, extending the duration and satisfaction of the time in the sexual intercourse.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION AND BEST MODE OF IMPLEMENTATION

Disclosed is an Ergonomic height-adjustable erotic furniture and methods for the use of such piece of furniture for facilitating sexual intercourse in different positions.

Some general aspects of the present invention have been summarized so far in the previous sections of this disclosure. Hereinafter, a detailed description of the invention as illustrated in the drawings will be provided. While some aspects of the invention will be described in connection with these drawings, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely illustrative of the invention, which may be embodied in various forms. The specific materials, methods, structures, and functional details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting. Instead, the intended function of this disclosure is to exemplify some of the ways—including the presently preferred ways—in which the invention, as defined by the claims, can be enabled for a Person of Ordinary Skill in the Art. Therefore, the intent of the present disclosure is to cover all variations encompassed within the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims, and any reasonable equivalents thereof

Referring to the drawings in more detail, FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment of an Ergonomic height-adjustable erotic furniture having a board 1, which is the base for supporting bodies of the users of this invention. This board 1, is the top part of the Divan, and has a length adequate for the size of a human body to be reclined on it, as well as for its decorative and practical location in a room, similar to the size of a regular two-body sofa, long-chaise, or divan. An adequate length for this part would be 180 cm, but it can vary according to design, being a reasonable length anywhere between the measures of 160 cm and 200 cm. Ideal materials for this board 1 are high quality foams, having a thickness from 10 to 15 cm, and covered in upholstery which can be in various suitable materials like Polyurethane, PVC vinyl leather or even authentic leather or other natural or synthetic materials. The board 1 is supported by an Extensible Base 2, which rests over a support plate 3, with the adequate shape size and materials to support the structure of the furniture. In some embodiments, this support plate 3 is suppressed and replaced by floor anchoring system. The furniture also has a header 4 rising from the board 1 and made from the same materials than this board. This element can be built into the board as a single piece or can be attached to it, having the function of providing comfort such as backrest and headboard. As it will be shown, this header 4 takes important functionalities when it comes to sexual positions. In some embodiments, this header 4 can have an ergonomic comfortable shape as shown in the drawings, with a variable height of 40 to 50 cm additional to the thickness of the board 1. The width in the top part of this header 4, in the shown embodiment, is of approximately 68 cm, being this width, in general, a few centimeters less than the width at the base of this header 4. The board 1 has a variable width due to having curved edges. These curved edges include a Right Concave Edge 5, a left concave Edge 6 and a Front Convex Edge 7, meant for providing a comfortable support for a variety of sexual positions, while delivering a pleasant and discreet aesthetic appearance. The curvature of these edges shouldn't be too accentuated, nor to shallow, representing a difference of 10% to 40% between the thinner and the wider widths of the board 1.

In FIG. 2, shown from the top, the curvature of these Right Concave Edge 5, left concave Edge 6 and Front Convex Edge 7 can be best appreciated. The specific shape of the header 4, the board 1 and the support plate 3 are for illustrative purposes only and can vary, in other embodiments, according to design, as long as the spirit and scope of the present invention is maintained.

FIG. 3 shows the divan in its high position. In this embodiment this is achieved by having two telescopic parts, the Extensible Base inner telescopic part 2a and the Extensible Base outer telescopic part 2b. This is just one of the many ways in which—through a lift mechanism—the board can move from a lower position 8 of around 32 cm (plus the thickness of the board 1) to a higher position 9 of around 89 cm (plus the thickness of the board 1), as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 from the front and in FIGS. 6 and 7 from the side. Different embodiments of this invention include different lifting mechanisms such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or mixed, known and/or to be developed, different aesthetic means of covering such mechanisms, for example accordion-like, flexible materials, more telescopic parts, etc., and different ways of activating these mechanisms (remote control, buttons, physical switches or levers, digital touchscreen, Bluetooth, etc.).

Lastly, FIG. 8 shows different positions in which an embodiment of an Ergonomic height-adjustable erotic furniture in accordance with the present invention can be used for facilitating sexual intercourse. In the position 10, for example, it can be seen how, in a low position of the furniture, its header 4 is useful for supporting the woman's pelvis in an adequate height for adjusting it to the man's height for effortless penetration with the man standing. It is important that the furniture can acquire many different heights between the lower position 8 and the higher position 9 so to adapt to the precise height and needs of the users. In the position 11, shown in a high position of the furniture, the woman is sitting in the feet area of the board 1, near the Front Convex Edge 7 and the man is standing facing her at the appropriate height for comfortable intercourse in this position. Similarly, position 12 also locates the woman near the Front Convex Edge 7 with the man is standing facing her at the appropriate height for comfortable intercourse in a slightly different position, in which the legs of the woman are wide open. Positions 13, 15, 16 and 18 distinctly show the importance of the Right Concave Edge 5 and the left concave Edge 6 for the comfort of some important sexual positions, given that they facilitate the support of the man's weight at the adequate height with one foot (positions 13 and 15), or two feet (positions 16 and 18, in which the woman's height is taken into account when fixing the adequate height for the board 1, since she is the one baring the weight here). On the other hand, positions 14 and 17 demonstrate how the furniture can also be used for facilitating comfortable oral sex thanks to effortlessly aligning the pelvis of one user with the face of the other one. These are just some illustrations out of a virtually infinite variety of sexual positions that can be promoted and facilitated with this discrete piece of furniture thanks to its height adjustment and ergonomic features.

Claims

1. An ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture for facilitating a variety of sexual positions, comprising a main body, a headboard raised with respect to said main body, and a lifting mechanism that raises and lowers the main body parallel to the floor, said main body comprising a flat upper surface, a Right Concave Edge, a left concave Edge and a Front Convex Edge.

2. The ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture of claim 1, further comprising a structural body that hides the lifting mechanism and a base that gives stability to said piece of furniture.

3. The ergonomic height-adjustable piece of erotic furniture of claim 2 wherein said lifting mechanism is a pneumatic lifting mechanism activated through remote control, said structural body comprises telescopic parts, and said base is anchored to a floor.
