1. Field of the Invention
An ergonomic working station for computer keyboard and mouse, wireless or not, including a first unit made up of sliding module in depth, width and height supporting a support plate for the keyboard, a second sliding module in depth, width, in height as well as a rotary module supporting a plate for the mouse. The working station may be installed on a piece of furniture, a chair, a wall, and includes fast adjustments for the adaptation of the station to the object on which it is retained as much as with its user.
2. Discussion of the Prior Art
The keyboard and mouse supports are objects, which, until now, were adapted more to the object that retains it than with its user. It consists generally of a sliding drawer fixed at a desk. Each user must thus readjust the working station according to his gauge and the ergonomic result leaves something to be desired.
Although there are certain supports which comprise mechanisms which make it possible to lower or to bring closer a few centimeters the drawer supporting the keyboard and/or the mouse, they only offer limited positions adjustments and are intended to be installed on a predetermined object, they are often the cause of muscular disorders due to a bad positioning of the user versus his equipment
This working station that I invented is the ideal device for the wireless mouse and keyboard users since it is fixed easily at a desk chair and makes it possible to move with the working station, it can also be used as a support for portable computers or a work table.
The working station is easily adjusted without special equipment or specialized personnel by means of sliding modules on the 3 axis, installed on a seat it makes it possible to keep the user in the working position selected and helps to prevent muscular disorders; at the elbow, the shoulder, the wrist and the neck related to computer use.
The base which supports the modules installs on all sides of a piece of furniture and/or on flat surface or unequal, the said modules are independents and adjusts the keyboard and mouse support in height, in width and depth, the said plates swivel on 360 degree and inclines itself from +20 to −20 degree.
This working station includes 2 sets, Each set has a base (E), which includes a support plate, (22), which installs with a varying angle from 0 to 360 degree on axes X, Y or Z by adding or removing a positioning plate (21). The latter has pressure screws (19), which make it possible to lock it with the support plate (22), a female block (20), is fixed at the said support plate (22), to receive there the adjustment rods (20), of the sliding width modules (1), (11).
The bases (E), can be installed on the left and/or on the right on a square surface, cylindrical, flat and/or unequal, fixed by means of screw, bolts or collar according to the shape, dimension or the object matter and be replaced with a right angle by means of adjustments bolts (19). The bases (E), are installed on any face of a piece of furniture, a leg of piece of furniture, on a beam or tube, a wall or on the cylinder, the arms, the seat or the backrest of an office chair.
The set for the keyboard is composed of a height sliding modular adjustment (3), holding up the keyboard support (B) coupled in a depth sliding modular adjustment (2), this last is coupled with the width sliding modular adjustment (1) coupled with the base (E).
The set for the mouse is composed of a height sliding modular adjustment (13), holding up the mouse support (D), is coupled with the depth sliding modular adjustment (12), this last is coupled with the rotary sliding modular adjustment (10), who is coupled with the width sliding modular adjustment (11) coupled with the base (E)
The modules are selectively movable, and provide with fixings (23), which make it possible to keep in place the adjustments.
The support block (5), of the keyboard support plate (B), is inserted on the pivot (4), of the height module (3), which makes it possible to swivel the plate (7), out of 360 degree. The said support block makes it possible to move horizontally the said plate and to slow down this displacement by the hinges support plates (9), which makes it possible to make use of the same keyboard by 2 people without moving themselves.
The mouse plate support (C), possess hinges (17) coupled to the support block (14) witch links the mouse plate to the height module (13), witch rotate itself linked to the rotation module (10), by the depth module, allowing a maximum positioning on the 3 axis.
The keyboard plate (7) and mouse plate (15) have hinges (17) which make it possible to adjust the angle from −20 to +20 degree, as well as detachable rest-wrists (15).
The working station can be installed on a base (E) to support the keyboard set and a base (E) to support the mouse set, allowing a spreading out of the sets on the right and/or the left hand side. One can also couple the modules of the mouse plate (14) on the width module or depth module of the keyboard plate (8)
The keyboard plate (7) has an enough large surface to make use of the mouse there, the mouse plate (15) can thus become a support for; portable computer, telephone, paper, etc.
