Claims
- 1. Composition comprising a fuel oil and a branched, halogenated polyalkylene characterized as:
- (a) being essentially free of crosslinking;
- (b) having internal olefinic unsaturation; and
- (c) having at least about 1 percent of the halogen groups replaced by ester groups.
- 2. Composition of claim 1 wherein said polyalkylene is polyethylene.
- 3. Composition of claim 1 wherein said polyalkylene is an ethylene/olefin copolymer.
- 4. Composition of claim 1 wherein about 10 to about 80 percent of the halogen groups are selected by ester groups.
- 5. Composition of claim 1 wherein said polyalkylene has a molecular weight of from about 1000 to about 30,000.
- 6. Composition of claim 1 wherein said polyalkylene has a molecular weight of from about 1500 to about 10,000.
- 7. Composition of claim 1 wherein said polyalkylene has a molecular weight of from about 1500 to about 3000.
- 8. Composition of claim 1 wherein all of the halogen groups are replaced by ester groups.
