Claims
- 1. A man-made fiber having a triclosan ester derivative diffused therein.
- 2. The fiber of claim 1 wherein said triclosan ester derivative is selected from the group consisting of a triclosan acetate, a triclosan propionate, a triclosan benzoate, a triclosan 4-nitrobenzoate, and a triclosan hexanoate.
- 3. The fiber of claim 2 wherein said triclosan ester derivative is a triclosan acetate.
- 4. A textile comprising the fiber of claim 1.
- 5. A textile comprising the fiber of claim 2.
- 6. A textile comprising the fiber of claim 3.
- 7. The textile of claim 4 wherein said textile is a fabric selected from the group consisting of woven, non-woven, or knit fabrics.
- 8. The textile of claim 5 wherein said textile is a fabric selected from the group consisting of woven, non-woven, or knit fabrics.
- 9. The textile of claim 6 wherein said textile is a fabric selected from the group consisting of woven, non-woven, or knit fabrics.
- 10. The fiber of claim 1 wherein said fiber is selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, acetate, polyolefin, acrylic, lycra, and blends thereof.
- 11. The fiber of claim 2 wherein said fiber is selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, acetate, polyolefin, acrylic, lycra, and blends thereof.
- 12. The fiber of claim 3 wherein said fiber is selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, acetate, polyolefin, acrylic, lycra, and blends thereof.
- 13. The fiber of claim 10 wherein said fiber is selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, lycra, and blends thereof.
- 14. The fiber of claim 11 wherein said fiber is selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, lycra, and blends thereof.
- 15. The fiber of claim 12 wherein said fiber is selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide, lycra, and blends thereof.
