Claims
- 1. An ether free, hydrocarbon soluble, thermally stable, low viscosity organolithium-lithium organoamide composition consisting of ingredients represented by the formula
- (LiR.sup.1).sub.x .multidot.[Li(N R.sup.3 R.sup.4)]y
- wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently selected from the group consisting of primary, secondary and tertiary alkyl groups containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl groups containing 3 to 8 carbon atoms and aryl groups containing 6 to 10 carbon atoms, the mole ratio of x to y varies from 1 to 1 to 1 to 2.03, in a hydrocarbon solvent.
- 2. The ether free composition of claim 1 wherein R.sup.1 is butyl and R.sup.3 and .sup.R4 are each isopropyl.
