Claims
- 1. A polyolefin resin composition comprising:
- not less than 2% by weight of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer and not more than 98% by weight of a polyolefin;
- wherein said copolymer has:
- (A) a density (d) of 0.86 to 0.96 g/cm.sup.3 ;
- (B) a melt flow rate (MFR) 0.01 to 200 g/10 min;
- (C) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.5 to 4.5;
- (D) a composition distribution parameter (Cb) of 1.08 to 2.00;
- (E) an orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X, wt %) at 25.degree. C., a density (d, cm.sup.3) and a melt flow rate (MFR, g/10 min) satisfying that:
- (i) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (I):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR24 0.93 (I)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (II):
- X<2.0 (II)
- (ii) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (III):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR<0.93 (III)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (IV):
- X<9.8.times.10.sup.3 .times.(0.9300-d+0.008.times.log MFR).sup.2 +2.0 (IV);
- wherein said copolymer has an electrical activation energy of not more than 0.4 eV; and
- (F) a number of peaks on an elution temperature-eluted amount curve determined by continuous temperature rising elution fractionation method (TREF) of 2 or more.
- 2. A polyolefin resin composition comprising:
- not less than 2% by weight of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer and not more than 98% by weight of a polyolefin;
- wherein said copolymer has:
- (A) a density of 0.86 to 0.96 g/cm.sup.3 ;
- (B) a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.01 to 200 g/10 min;
- (C) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.8 to 3.5;
- (D) a composition distribution parameter (Cb) of 1.10 to 2.00; and
- (E) an orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X, wt %) at 25.degree. C., a density (d, g/cm.sup.3) and a melt flow rate (MFR, g/10 min) satisfying that:
- (i) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (I):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR.gtoreq.0.93 (I)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (II):
- X<2.0 (II)
- (ii) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (III):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR<0.93 (III)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (IV):
- X<9.8.times.10.sup.3 .times.(0.9300-d+0.008.times.log MFR).sup.2 +2.0 (IV);
- wherein said copolymer is obtained by copolymerization of ethylene and .alpha.-olefin in the presence of a catalyst by contact components (1) to (4) with each other:
- (1) a compound represented by Me.sup.1 R.sup.1.sub.p R.sup.2.sub.q (OR.sup.3).sub.r X.sup.1.sub.4-p-q-r, where R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 each independently represent a C.sub.1-24 hydrocarbon group or trialkylsilyl group; R.sup.2 represents a 2,4-pentanedionate ligand, a dibenzoylmethanate ligand, a benzyolactonate ligand; X.sup.1 represents a halogen atom; Me.sup.1 represents Zr, Ti or Hf; and p, q and r each represents an integer satisfying the relationships 0.ltoreq.p.ltoreq.4, 0.ltoreq.q.ltoreq.4, 0.ltoreq.r.ltoreq.4, and 0.ltoreq.(p+q+r).ltoreq.4;
- (2) a compound represented by Me.sup.2 R.sup.4.sub.m (OR.sup.3).sub.n X.sup.2.sub.z-m-n, where Me.sup.2 represents Group I, II, or III element; R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently represent a C.sub.1-24 hydrocarbon group; X.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, provided that when X.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, Me.sup.2 represents a Group III element; z represents the valence of Me.sup.2 and m and n each represents an integer satisfying the relationships 0.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.z, 0.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.z, 0.ltoreq.(m+n).ltoreq.z;
- (3) an organic cyclic compound having two or more conjugated double bonds; and
- (4) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (a) a modified organic aluminum oxy compound having an Al--O--Al bond and (b) a boron compound wherein said copolymer has a number of peaks on an elution temperature-eluted amount curve determined by continuous temperature rising elution fractionation method (TREF) of 2 or more.
- 3. A polyolefin resin composition comprising:
- not less than 2% by weight of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer and not more than 98% by weight of a polyolefin;
- wherein said copolymer has:
- (A) a density (d) of 0.86 to 0.96 g/cm.sup.3 ;
- (B) a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.01 to 200 g/10 min;
- (C) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.5 to 4.5;
- (D) a composition distribution parameter (Cb) of 1.08 to 2.00;
- (E) an orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X, wt %) at 25.degree. C., a density (d, g/cm.sup.3) and a melt flow rate (MFR, g/10 min) satisfying that:
- (i) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (I)
- d-0.008.times.log MFR.gtoreq.0.93 (I)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (II):
- X<2.0 (II)
- (ii) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (III):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR<0.93 (III)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (IV):
- X<9.8.times.10.sup.3 .times.(0.9300-d+0.008.times.log MFR).sup.2 +2.0 (IV);
- wherein said copolymer has (G) an electrical activation energy of not more than 0.4 eV; wherein said copolymer is obtained by copolymerization of ethylene and .alpha.-olefin in the presence of a catalyst obtained by contacting components (1) to (4) with each other:
- (1) a compound represented by Me.sup.1 R.sup.1.sub.p R.sup.2.sub.q (OR.sup.3).sub.r X.sup.1.sub.4-p-q-r, where R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 each independently represent a C.sub.1-24 hydrocarbon group or trialkylsilyl group; R.sup.2 represents a 2,4-pentanedionate ligand, a dibenzoylmethanate ligand, a benzyolactonate ligand; X.sup.1 represents a halogen atom; Me.sup.1 represents Zr, Ti or Hf; and p, q and r each represents an integer satisfying the relationships 0.ltoreq.p.ltoreq.4, 0.ltoreq.q.ltoreq.4, 0.ltoreq.r.ltoreq.4, and 0.ltoreq.(p+q+r).ltoreq.4;
- (2) a compound represented by Me.sup.2 R.sup.4.sub.m (OR.sup.3).sub.n X.sup.2.sub.z-m-n, where Me.sup.2 represents Group I, II, or III element; R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently represent a C.sub.1-24 hydrocarbon group; X.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, provided that when X.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, Me.sup.2 represents a Group III element; z represents the valence of Me.sup.2 and m and n each represents an integer satisfying the relationships 0.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.z, 0.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.z, 0.ltoreq.(m+n).ltoreq.z;
- (3) an organic cyclic compound having two or more conjugated double bonds; and
- (4) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of (a) a modified organic aluminum oxy compound having an Al--O--Al bond and (b) a boron; and
- (F) a number of peaks on an elution temperature-eluted amount curve determined by continuous temperature rising elution fractionation method (TREF) of 2 or more.
- 4. A polyolefin resin composition comprising:
- not less than 2% by weight of an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer and not more than 98% by weight of a polyolefin;
- wherein said copolymer has:
- (A) a density (d) of 0.86 to 0.96 g/cm.sup.3 ;
- (B) a melt flow rate (MFR) of 0.01 to 200 g/10 min;
- (C) a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of 1.5 to 4.5;
- (D) a composition distribution parameter (Cb) of 1.08 to 2.00;
- (E) an orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (wt %) at 25.degree. C., a density (d, g/cm.sup.3) and a melt flow rate (MFR, g/10 min) satisfying that:
- (i) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (I):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR.gtoreq.0.93 (I)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (II):
- X<2.0
- (ii) when the density (d) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy relationship (III):
- d-0.008.times.log MFR<0.93 (III)
- the orthodichlorobenzene-soluble content (X) satisfies relationship (IV):
- X.ltoreq.9.8.times.10.sup.3 .times.(0.9300-d+0.008.times.log MFR).sup.2 +2.0 (IV);
- and
- (F) a number of peaks on an elution temperature-eluted amount curve determined by continuous temperature rising elution fractionation method (TREF) of 2 or more.
- 5. A polyolefin resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the TREF peak on the high temperature side is between 85.degree. C. and 100.degree. C.
- 6. A polyolefin resin composition according to claim 2, wherein the TREF peak on the high temperature side is between 85.degree. C. and 100.degree. C.
- 7. A polyolefin resin composition according to claim 3, wherein the TREF peak on the high temperature side is between 85.degree. C. and 100.degree. C.
- 8. A polyolefin resin composition according to claim 4, wherein the TREF peak on the high temperature side is between 85.degree. C. and 100.degree. C.
- 9. An electrical insulating material comprising an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer as claimed in claim 1.
- 10. A power cable comprising a conductor having thereon an electrical insulating layer comprising an insulating material as claimed in claim 9.
- 11. A film comprising an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer as claimed in claim 2.
- 12. An electrical insulating material comprising a resin composition as claimed in claim 3.
- 13. A power cable comprising a conductor having thereon an electrical insulating layer comprising an insulating material as claimed in claim 12.
