Claims
- 1. An aromatic polyamide resin capable of intramolecular cyclization into a polyimidine containing repeating units of the formula: ##STR11## said resin consisting essentially of repeating units having the following structural formula: ##STR12## wherein Ar is a divalent aromatic radical having the general formula: ##STR13## wherein Z is selected from the group consisting of --CH.sub.2 --, --CO--, --SO--, --O--, and --SO.sub.2 --.
- 2. The resin of claim 1 wherein Ar is ##STR14##
- 3. The resin of claim 1 wherein Ar is ##STR15##
