Claims
- 1. An evacuating apparatus comprising:
- a housing having a fluid suction opening and at least one fluid exhaust opening;
- a pump section arranged in said housing and having a suction side and an exhaust side, said pump section comprising a pair of rotors accommodated in said housing and having respectively interengaging thread grooves so as to define, together with said housing, a fluid-transporting space having a volume which decreases at least in a vicinity of said exhaust side;
- wherein bearings are arranged in said housing and rotatably support said rotors;
- wherein said pump section constitutes a positive displacement pump which positively displaces fluid by utilizing a volume change of said fluid transporting space;
- wherein motors are operably coupled to said rotors, respectively, and said motors are electronically controlled for synchronizing rotation of said rotors; and
- wherein a pitch of each of said thread grooves of said pump section becomes smaller at least in a vicinity of said exhaust side.
- 2. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 1, wherein
- said at least one fluid exhaust opening comprises an exhaust opening disposed on said exhaust side of said pump section.
- 3. An evacuating apparatus comprising:
- a housing having a fluid suction opening and at least one fluid exhaust opening;
- a first pump section arranged in said housing and having a suction side and an exhaust side, said first pump section comprising a pair of rotor parts having respectively interengaging thread grooves;
- a second pump section arranged in said housing on said exhaust side of said first pump section, having a suction side and an exhaust side, and comprising a pair of rotor parts accommodated in said housing and having respectively interengaging thread grooves so as to define, together with said housing, a fluid-transporting space having a volume which decreases at least in a vicinity of said exhaust side of said second pump section;
- wherein bearings are arranged in said housing and rotatably support said rotor parts of said first and second pump sections;
- wherein said first pump section comprises a positive displacement pump which positively displaces fluid by utilizing a volume change of a space defined by said housing and said rotor parts of said first pump section;
- wherein said second pump section comprises a positive displacement pump which positively displaces fluid by utilizing a volume change of said fluid-transporting space defined by said housing and said rotor parts of said second pump section;
- wherein plural motors are operably coupled to said rotor parts of said first and second pump sections, and said motors are electronically controlled for synchronizing rotation of said rotor parts.
- 4. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 3, wherein a pitch of each thread groove of said second pump section becomes smaller in a vicinity of said exhaust side of said second pump section.
- 5. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 3, wherein
- said first and second pump sections together comprise a pair of rotors, said rotor parts of said first pump section constitute parts of said rotors, respectively, and said rotor parts of said second pump section constitute parts of said rotors, respectively.
- 6. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 3, wherein
- said at least one fluid exhaust opening comprises an exhaust opening disposed on said exhaust side of said second pump section.
- 7. An evacuating apparatus comprising:
- a housing having a fluid suction opening and at least one fluid exhaust opening;
- a first pump section arranged in said housing and having a suction side and an exhaust side, said first pump section comprising a pair of rotor parts having respectively interengaging thread grooves;
- a second pump section arranged in said housing on said exhaust side of said first pump section, having a suction side and an exhaust side, and comprising a pair of rotor parts accommodated in said housing and having respectively interengaging thread grooves so as to define, together with said housing, a fluid-transporting space having a volume which is smaller than a volume of a fluid-transporting space defined by said housing and said rotor parts of said first pump section;
- wherein bearings are arranged in said housing and rotatably support said rotor parts of said first and second pump sections;
- wherein said first pump section comprises a positive displacement pump which positively displaces fluid by utilizing a volume change of said fluid-transporting space defined by said housing and said rotor parts of said first pump section;
- wherein said second pump section comprises a positive displacement pump which positively displaces fluid by utilizing a volume change of said fluid-transporting space defined by said housing and said rotor parts of said second pump section;
- wherein plural motors are operably coupled to said rotor parts of said first and second pump sections, and said motors are electronically controlled for synchronizing rotation of said rotor parts.
- 8. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 7, wherein one of a pitch and a depth of each thread groove of said second pump section becomes smaller in a vicinity of said exhaust side of said second pump section.
- 9. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 7, wherein
- said first and second pump sections together comprise a pair of rotors, said rotor parts of said first pump section constitute parts of said rotors, respectively, and said rotor parts of said second pump section constitute parts of said rotors, respectively.
- 10. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 7, wherein
- said at least one fluid exhaust opening comprises an exhaust opening disposed on said exhaust side of said second pump section.
- 11. An evacuating apparatus as defined in claim 1, wherein
- said rotors are columnar is shape; and
- a depth of each of said grooves becomes smaller at least in the vicinity of said exhaust side.
