The present invention relates to an exercise bike protection cover which is configured to cover and mask an exercise bike to prevent from accumulating dust on the exercise bike.
Exercise is a way to maintain physical health, and can increase muscle strength to effectively maintain the body's metabolic capacity and maintain physical strength and force above a certain level, so as to easily cope with daily affairs and prevent premature disability.
However, it is not easy to maintain an exercise habit, for example, the outdoor environment is an influencing factor, and rain, high temperature and low temperature may greatly reduce people's desire to go out for exercise. Therefore, many convenient apparatuses for indoor exercise are commercially available on the market, and an exercise bike is a very popular indoor exercise apparatus, more particularly, the exercise bike can be a stationary bike which is a resisting device with rotary bodies with flywheels.
However, due to the limited space in the home, the exercise bike is usually placed on the balcony after use, and it is more likely to accumulate dust on the exercise bike. The accumulation of dust may cause wear of components of the exercise bike, so a protective cover for the exercise bike is developed and available on the market, and the protective cover can be covered on the exercise bike to block dust from the exercise bike. The structure of the conventional protection cover generally includes a cover body having an opening, and a pull rope inserted through an edge of the opening. After the protection cover is covered on the exercise bike, the pull rope can be pulled and tightened to shrink the opening, so as to slightly secure the cover body of the protection cover in a non-binding manner.
However, the conventional protection cover has a problem that the cover body may be easily lifted up from the opening by an external force, for example, when the exercise bike placed on a balcony is covered by the conventional protection cover, the conventional protection cover may be easily lifted by wind, and the dust blocking function of the protective cover is reduced.
According to the above content, it can be known that the cover body of the conventional protection cover has a problem of having less reliable securing function and being easily lifted up by an external force such as wind blowing. The above-mentioned problem is to be urgently solved in the industry.
An objective of the present invention is to provide a protection cover for an exercise bike, such as a stationary bike which is a resisting device with rotary bodies with flywheels. The exercise bike protection cover includes a cover body and a plurality of securing strips, so as to effectively prevent the cover body of the protection cover from being lifted up effortlessly by an external force.
In order to achieve the objective, the present invention provides an exercise bike protection cover including a cover body and a plurality of securing strips. The cover body includes a center part, a peripheral part surrounding a peripheral side of the center part, a bike accommodation space formed between inner sides of the peripheral part and the center part, and an opening formed on an end of the peripheral part away from the center part and in communication with the bike accommodation space; wherein the width of the center part tapers rearwardly. The plurality of securing strips are disposed along and around an edge of the opening, and each of the plurality of securing strips includes a fastener end, a buckle end, a hook portion, and a loop portion; wherein the buckle end is opposite to the fastener end and includes a buckle frame to receive the fastener end; wherein the hook portion and the loop portion are both disposed on the same side surface of the securing strip and the hook portion is located near the fastener end. More specifically, the fastener end can be looped through the buckle frame of the buckle end and bent back to enable the hook portion and the loop portion to contact each other and thus secure the securing strap to a extension rod of an exercise bike.
In an embodiment, the width of a front part of the center part is substantially larger than the width of a rear part of the center part.
In an embodiment, the peripheral part includes a front portion and a rear portion, the front portion is substantially longer than the rear portion in length.
In an embodiment, the width of the rear portion widens downwardly to the opening of the cover body.
In an embodiment, a line defined between the fastener end and the buckle end is parallel along an extension plane of the cover body.
In an embodiment, the number of the plurality of securing strips is four.
In an embodiment, the opening comprises four corners, and each of the plurality of securing strips is disposed on the edge of the corresponding one of the four corners of the opening.
In an embodiment, the cover body is made by waterproof material.
The structure, operating principle and effects of the present invention will be described in detail by way of various embodiments which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

An operation of the present invention is described in detail following the above description. As shown in
The operation of securing an exercise bike protection cover of the present invention on the exercise bike 100 is described in detail in paragraphs. As shown in
According to the above-mentioned contents, with the configuration of binding the securing strips 2 to the extension rods 300, it is very difficult to lift the cover body 1 up by an external force when the mutual attachment between the hook portion 21 and the loop portion 22 is not released. In addition, the buckle frame also secures the binding of the securing strips 2 to the extension rods 300. As a result, compared with the conventional product, the exercise bike protection cover of the present invention can effectively solve the problem that the cover body may be easily lifted up by an external force such as wind blowing. Furthermore, the securing manner of using the hook portion 21 and the loop portion 22 can quickly and easily perform or release attachment without reducing convenience.
Furthermore, as shown in
Moreover, the peripheral part 2 further includes a front portion 16 and a rear portion 17. In detail, the exercise bike 100 is a stationary bike which is a resisting device with rotary bodies with flywheels, the handlebar part may not be lower than the seat part in height like a road bike, therefore, the front portion 16 is substantially longer than the rear portion 17 in length, so as to adapt to fit over and around the exercise bike 100. Specifically, the length of the front portion 16 refers to the length from the handlebar part to the opening 14 along a longitudinal axis, and the length of the rear portion 17 refers to the length from the seat part to the opening 14 along a longitudinal axis.
In general, a protective cover for the regular bike or a road bike would cover the tire of the bike, thus the width from the seat part to the tire part would taper downwardly to fit the tire shape. In the present invention, the exercise bike 100 is a stationary bike that includes a base frame 200 disposed on a bottom thereof. The bottom of the base frame 200 of the exercise bike 100 would be wider than the seat part, and even wider than the handlebar part to provide the stability of the exercise bike 100, therefore, the width of the rear portion widens downwardly to the opening of the cover body. Further, a line defined between the fastener end and the buckle end is parallel along an extension plane of the cover body, so that the securing strips 2 can fit the shape of the base frame 200 and the extension rods 300.
In an embodiment, the number of the securing strips 2 can be four. The general exercise bike 100 usually includes four extension rods 300, so the number of securing strips 2 correspondingly set as four is a practical selection to achieve the better binding effect with fewer securing strips 2.
In an embodiment, the opening 14 has four corners, and each of the securing strips 2 is disposed on the edge of the corresponding one of the four corners 15 of the opening 14. In general, the extension rods 300 are respectively disposed on four corner ends of the exercise bike 100, so the above-mentioned configuration of the securing strips 2 can easily align the securing strips 2 to the extension rods 300. Moreover, the fastener end and the buckle end are not directly connected with the peripheral part, and the hook portion and the loop portion are not directly connected with the peripheral part, thus structure provides the possibility to replace the securing strips 2 without replacing the whole the exercise bike protection cover.
In an embodiment, the cover body 1 can be made by waterproof material or waterproof polymer-coated fabrics, such as PEVA, non-woven fabric, or polyvinyl chloride, so that the exercise bike 100 can be prevented from being splashed by rainwater when the exercise bike 100 is placed on balcony and a window is too late to close in a rainy day, and the metal components of the exercise bike 100 can be protected from being corroded by splashed rainwater, thereby improving practicability of the present invention.
The exercise bike protection cover described herein advantageously may prevent the ingress of the elements of the external environment, including dust, dirt, stones, salt, liquid water (e.g. road spray, rain, condensation), snow, ice, road debris, solar (e.g. IR and UV) radiation.
The present invention disclosed herein has been described by means of specific embodiments. However, numerous modifications, variations and enhancements can be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure set forth in the claims.
