Claims
- 1. An exercise device, comprising:
a base having at least one receptacle; and a resistance member adapted to rest in the at least one receptacle.
- 2. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the base is adapted to have the user sit on the base.
- 3. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the resistance member is adapted to pivotally rest in the at least one receptacle.
- 4. The exercise device of claim 1, the resistance member further comprising a spring means to provide resistance
- 5. The exercise device of claim 1, the base further comprising a plurality of receptacles.
- 6. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the resistance member is adjustable to provide more than one level of resistance.
- 7. The exercise device of claim 1, the base further comprising means to raise the base from floor level.
- 8. The exercise device of claim 1, the base further comprising a base extension to raise the base from floor level.
- 9. The exercise device of claim 8, wherein the base extension is adjustable to provide difference distances from the base to the floor level.
- 10. The exercise device of claim 8, wherein the base extension is collapsable relative to the base.
- 11. The exercise device of claim 1, wherein the resistance member includes a handle portion adapted to be gripped by the user.
- 12. The exercise device of claim 11, the resistance member further including a midsection with the handle portion being located at an upper end of the mid-section.
- 13. The exercise device of claim 12, the resistance member further including the mid-section with a pivot end being located at a lower end of the mid-section.
- 14. The exercise device of claim 13, wherein the pivot end of the mid-section of the resistance member is adapted to be placed in the at least one receptacle.
- 15. The exercise device of claim 12, the resistance member further including a resistance means located at the mid-section.
- 16. The exercise device of claim 15, wherein the resistance means is located coaxially with the mid-section.
- 17. The exercise device of claim 16, wherein the resistance means is adjustable.
- 18. the exercise device of claim 16, wherein the resistance means includes at least one spring.
- 19. The exercise device of claim 16, wherein the resistance means includes multiple springs.
- 20. The exercise device of claim 5, wherein the receptacles are located around the periphery of the base.
- 21. The exercise device of claim 20, wherein the base includes receptacles that are located along a right top side, a left top side, and a top center.
- 22. An exercise system, comprising:
a base portion, the base portion having at least one receptacle; a resistance member being adapted to be positioned in the at least one receptacle.
- 23. The exercise system of claim 22, wherein the base further includes a plurality of receptacles.
- 24. The exercise system of claim 23, wherein the resistance member is capable of providing variable resistance.
- 25. The exercise system of claim 23, wherein the resistance member is adjustable so that varying levels of resistance may be selected.
- 26. The exercise system of claim 23, wherein the resistance member includes an adjustment mechanism to vary the level of resistance of the resistance member.
- 27. The exercise system of claim 23, wherein the receptacles are located on the base portion so that the resistance member may be positioned in the receptacles to provide multiple resistance positions.
- 28. The exercise system of claim 27, wherein the receptacles each include an axis of orientation.
- 29. The exercise system of claim 28, wherein at least two of the axii of the receptacles are non-parallel in relation to each other.
- 30. The exercise system of claim 29, wherein the resistance member is adapted to be positioned in each of the receptacles, one at a time, to provide multiple exercise motions.
- 31. A body exercising device comprising:
a sleeve having a top end protruded with an upright tube, the upright tube provided with a handle mounting structure for mounting a handle, a retractable sleeve secured on the bottom end of the sleeve, an insertion sleeve secured on the bottom end of the retractable sleeve and inserted into the insertion holes of a seat cushion, the sleeve having a mediate section having an outer wall formed with two opposite rotation slots for mounting a drive structure; the drive structure including two opposite rotation blocks respectively mounted on the sleeve, a passage rod mounted between the two opposite rotation blocks and extended through the two opposite rotation slots of the sleeve, a guide rod having a top end mounted on the passage rod, a first spring mounted on the guide rod, the guide rod having a bottom end provided with a protruding drive shaft for driving a first race and a second race; an outer tube mounted in the sleeve for passage of the guide rod, the top end of the outer tube urged on the bottom end of the first spring, the first race mounted in the outer tube and having an inner wall provided with two protruding blocks for pressing of the drive shaft of the guide rod, the second race mounted in the outer tube and having an inner wall provided with two protruding blocks for pressing of the drive shaft of the guide rod, the first race having an outer wall provided with a guide block that may slide on a middle tube, and the second race having an outer wall provided with a guide block that may slide on the middle tube; an inner tube having a top end secured on the bottom end of the guide rod, a second spring mounted on the inner tube and urged between the second race and the insertion sleeve; the middle tube mounted between the second spring of the inner tube and the outer tube and having an outer wall provided with two opposite guide grooves for guiding movement of the guide block of the first race and the guide block of the second race, a third spring mounted on the middle tube and urged between the first race and the insertion sleeve; wherein, the sleeve may be used to compress the first spring, while the rotation blocks of the drive structure may be rotated to rotate the drive shaft of the guide rod, so that the drive shaft of the guide rod may be inserted into the first race or the second race, thereby increasing the pushing and supporting force of the second spring and the third spring, and thereby changing the exercising load, so as to achieve the requirements of different users.
- 32. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (31), wherein the upright tube of the sleeve is formed with a plurality of adjusting holes, the handle mounting structure includes a hollow handle mounting tube mounted on the upright tube, and a positioning rod is extended through the handle mounting tube, and is inserted into one of the adjusting holes of the upright tube, so that the handle mounting structure may be used to adjust the height of the handle.
- 33. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (32), wherein the top end of the handle mounting tube is formed with a transverse tube for mounting the handle, the connection of the handle mounting tube and the transverse tube has a through hole, so that a support seat may be snapped on the top end of the upright tube through the handle mounting tube, a cop cover is mounted on the top end of the handle mounting tube, and a compression spring is mounted between the support seat and the top cover.
- 34. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (31), wherein the retractable sleeve is secured on the bottom end of the sleeve by a clamping ring.
- 35. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (31), herein the top face of the insertion sleeve is formed with at least one locking hole, the top face of the outer tube is formed with at least one locking hole, and the middle tube has a top end provided with at least one snap block snapped into the locking hole of the outer tube, and has a bottom end provided with at least one snap block snapped into the locking hole of the insertion sleeve.
- 36. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (31), wherein a first one of the two opposite rotation blocks is formed with two insertion holes, and a second one of the two opposite rotation blocks is provided with two insertion rods each inserted into each of the two insertion holes, so that the two opposite rotation blocks may be combined together.
- 37. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (31), wherein each of the two protruding blocks of the first race is formed with a locking recess for insertion of the drive shaft of the guide rod, and each of the two protruding blocks of the second race is formed with a locking recess for insertion of the drive shaft of the guide rod.
- 38. The body exercising device in accordance with claim (31), further comprising a slide head secured on the bottom end of the inner tube and inserted into the insertion sleeve.
- 39. The exercise device of claim 3, wherein the resistance member further includes an extension member that prevents the resistance member from falling out of the receptacle while at rest or from disengaging from the receptacle while in use.
- 40. The exercise device of claim 11, wherein the handle further includes a notch that is adapted to be placed under the user's arm or underarm.
- 41. The exercise device of claim 20, wherein the receptacles are located around the periphery of the base so as to allow the user to place the resistance member at different locations in the base while being able to remain seated.
