Claims
- 1. An exhaust valve for a Diesel engine, wherein a seat face thereof is formed with coated layer comprising ceramic and metal, the coated layer increasing in density of ceramic toward an upper surface thereof, wherein the coated layer comprises a plurality of layers which each vary in ceramic density.
- 2. The valve of claim 1, wherein the coated layer comprises ceramic at an uppermost layer.
- 3. The valve of claim 1, wherein the coated layer comprises a ceramic and metal complex layer at an upper most layer.
- 4. The valve of claim 1, wherein said coated layer is subjected to press heat treatment.
- 5. The valve of claim 1, wherein the coated layer comprises a ceramic and metal complex layer, and a lowermost layer of metal.
- 6. The valve of claim 5, wherein the ceramic and metal complex layer comprises ceramic grains and metal grains.
- 7. The valve of claim 5, wherein the ceramic and metal complex layer comprises ceramic grains and metal covered ceramic grains.
- 8. The valve of claim 5, wherein the ceramic and metal complex layer comprises metal covered ceramic grains and metal grains.
- 9. The valve of claim 5, wherein the ceramic and metal complex layer comprises ceramic grains and metal grains.
- 10. The valve of claim 5, wherein metals of two or more kinds are used as said metal.
- 11. The valve of claim 10, wherein metal grains of more than two kinds are used.
- 12. The valve of claim 10, wherein ceramic grains covered with metals of more than two different kinds are used.
- 13. The valve of claim 10, wherein metal having excellent corrosion resistability is used at the surface side, and metal having excellent strength is used at the lower side.
- 14. The valve of claim 10, wherein said metal grains are of different kinds, and wherein said metal covered ceramic grains are of different kinds.
- 15. The valve of claim 14, wherein said metal grains are of more than two kinds.
- 16. The valve of claim 14, wherein said metal covered ceramic grains are of more than two kinds.
