Claims
- 1. An exposure control system for a camera capable of carrying film and has supplemental lighting means, comprising exposure forming means for regulating the aperture and exposure speed to which the film is to be subjected, first photoelectric means for responding to overall light from a scene to be photographed, second photoelectric means for responding to light from a predetermined portion of the scene to be photographed less than the overall scene, and exposure control means coupled to said first and second photoelectric means and said exposure forming means for controlling said exposure forming means to expose the film on the basis of at least the relationship between the response of said first photoelectric means and second photoelectric means.
- 2. A system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means includes a limiter device for preventing operation of said exposure forming means at speeds below a predetermined value.
- 3. A system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means is mechanical.
- 4. An exposure control system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means includes a timer circuit for varying said exposure forming means.
- 5. A system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means includes means for varying said exposure forming means on the basis of the distance to the portion of the scene to be photographed.
- 6. A system as in claim 1, wherein said first photoelectric means includes means for varying the output of said first exposure control means on the basis of the guide number of a flash device.
- 7. A system as in claim 1, further comprising flash means, said exposure control means including synchronizing means for synchronizing said flash means with said exposure forming means.
- 8. An exposure control system as in claim 7, wherein said exposure forming means includes a shutter and a variable diaphragm, said exposure control means including shutter operating means responsive to said synchronizing means for closing the shutter blade after said flash has produced illumination.
- 9. A system as in claim 7, wherein said exposure forming means includes a shutter also serving as an iris, and shutter closing means in said exposure control means and responsive to said synchronizing means for closing the shutter after the flash has produced illumination.
- 10. A system as in claim 7, wherein said exposure forming means includes a shutter, and wherein said exposure controlling means includes means responsive to said synchronizing means for retarding the closure of the shutter until after has produced illumination of the flash.
- 11. A system as in claim 1, further comprising a current measuring meter connected to said first and second photoelectric means.
- 12. A system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means includes interrupter means for an interrupting signals produced by said first and second photoelectric means.
- 13. A system as in claim 1, further comprising indicator means connected to said first and second photoelectric means for indicating the relationship between the outputs produced by said first and second photoelectric means.
- 14. A system as in claim 5, wherein said exposure forming means includes a variable diaphragm and a shutter, said exposure control means operating said iris and said shutter.
- 15. A system as in claim 7, further comprising a third photoelectric element for receiving light directly from the flash, said exposure control means including a electromagnet for operating said exposure forming means, said electromagnet being responsive to said third photoelectric means.
- 16. A system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means includes manually operable entering means for entering the guide number, film sensitivity, and F number into the output of said first photoelectric means.
- 17. A system as in claim 1, wherein said exposure control means includes a comparator responsive to said first photoelectric means and said second photoelectric means, said comparator comprising a transistor.
- 18. A system as in claim 16, wherein said exposure control means includes an indicator responsive to the relationship between outputs produced by said first photoelectric means and said second photoelectric means.
- 19. A system as in claim 18, wherein said indicator is a lamp.
- 20. An indicator as in claim 7, wherein said exposure control means includes means for retaining the shutter blade in its closed state and opening it quickly just before illumination of said flash device.
- 21. A system as in claim 7, wherein said exposure control means includes means for opening the iris blade quickly to a preset position.
- 22. An exposure control system according to claim 8 in which the shutter is retained at its closure state and quickly opened just before the illumination of the flash device.
- 23. An exposure control system according to claim 8 in which the shutter is quickly opened to its present position just after the exposure control device is released.
- 24. An exposure control system according to claim 8 in which the exposure control means comprises a shutter control timer device and an iris control timer device.
- 25. An exposure control system according to claim 24 in which the iris control timer device comprises an iris control timer circuit having a first photosensitive element and the shutter control timer device comprises a shutter control timer circuit having a second photosensitive element.
- 26. An exposure control system according to claim 25 in which the shutter control timer circuit comprises a double base diode and a silicon controlled rectifier and the iris control timer circuit comprises a double base diode and a silicon controlled rectifier.
- 27. An exposure control system according to claim 8 further comprising a timer circuit wherein a photosensitive element receives an amount of light incident thereon through a timer iris.
- 28. An exposure control system according to claim 8 in which the shutter is quickly opened to a position controlled by said exposure control means.
- 29. An exposure control system according to claim 11 which further comprises a reference pointer for establishing a reference position for the pointer of the current-measuring meter.
- 30. An exposure control system according to claim 29 in which said exposure control means includes a changing mechanism for the guide number of the flash device, said reference pointer being coupled to said changing mechanism.
- 31. An exposure control system according to claim 15 which further comprises means for automatically changing the bias level of the exposure control means in correspondence to either the shutter speed control or the iris control.
- 32. A system as in claim 1, wherein said camera includes a diaphragm and said first and second photoelectric means respond to light independent of the setting of the diaphragm.
- 33. An exposure control system of a camera mechanism for producing an appropriate exposure overall and to an object to be photographed in a flash photographing comprising a flash illumination means, exposure control means forming an exposure sequence by opening and closing operations and having a variable aperture, control circuit means having the first photoelectric conversion element for converting intensity of illumination of the main object in a scene to be photographed into a quantity of electricity, the second photoelectric conversion element for converting intensity of illumination of the remaining portions of the scene to be photographed into a quantity of electricity, a comparison circuit for connecting said first and second conversion elements, and a control circuit being connected with said comparison circuit for determining the operation of said exposure control circuit, an impedance member connected with said control circuit, an impedance value of said member being determined in response to the distance onto the main object portion among objects to be photographed and the guide number of said flash illumination means, said exposure control means being set by said control circuit to an aperture in response to the distance onto the main object portion, the guide number of said illumination means and the brightness of both the main object portion and the remainder of the scene as well being set to full opening and closing corresponding to the quantity of light of the remaining portions of the scene on the basis of said aperture.
- 34. A camera exposure control system for affording appropriate exposures on the basis of overall illumination and the illumination of an object to be photographed with flash, comprising flash illumination means, exposure control means for forming an exposure sequence by an opening and closing operation, said exposure control means including a variable aperture, control circuit means having a first photoelectric conversion element for converting the illumination of the main object in a scene to be photographed into an electrical quantity, said control circuit means including a second photoelectric conversion element for converting the intensity of illumination of the remaining portions of the scene to be photographed into a second electrical quantity, a comparison circuit connected to said first and second conversion element for comparing the outputs of said first and second conversion elements, and a control circuit connected with the output of said comparison circuit and coupled to said exposure control means for controlling the operation of said exposure control means, said control circuit including an impedance member the impedance value of which is determined in response to the distance of the main object to be photographed and the guide number of said flash illumination means, said exposure control means being set by said control circuit to an aperture in response to the distance to the main object being photographed, the guide number of said illumination means and the brightness of the main object portion and the remainder of the scene being set for opening and closing in correspondence to the quantity of light of the remaining portions of the scene on the basis of said aperture.
- 35. An exposure control system as in claim 34, wherein said exposure control means includes exposure aperture means and shutter means, a drive control circuit for said shutter means, a third photoelectric conversion element for converting the brightness of an object to be photographed into a third electrical quantity on the basis of average photometry, a drive control circuit for said shutter means connected to the output of said third photoelectric conversion element, a time constant circuit responsive to said drive control circuit for opening said shutter means for a predetermined time.
- 36. An exposure control system as in claim 35, wherein said exposure aperture means includes an aperture element disposed in front of said third electric conversion element, said aperture element being variable in response to operation of said first aperture means, said third photoelectric conversion element being positioned behind said aperture element to receive the brightness of the object passing through said aperture element.
- 37. A system as in claim 35, wherein said shutter drive control circuit comprises said third photoelectric element, said third photoelectric element including a photoconductive element and constant resistive element connected in parallel with each other, said constant resistive element having an median value of said photoconductive element so as to limit the time constant value of said time constant means.
- 38. An exposure control system as in claim 34, further comprising indication means connected with the output of said comparison circuit, and shutter adjusting means connected to said variable aperture for adjusting the aperture in response to the indication of said indication means.
- 39. An exposure control system as in claim 38, wherein said indication means includes a galvanometer having a pointer.
- 40. An exposure control system as in claim 35, wherein said control circuit includes a focusing device, said impedance member being coupled to said focusing device, an electromagnetic member having a displacement member being displaced in response to a quantity of electricity applied, a variable member for current capacity to be controlled by the output of said comparison circuit, said variable aperture in said exposure means being adjustable in response to the amount of displacement of said displacement member.
- 41. An exposure control system as in claim 34, wherein said comparison circuit includes a differential transistor amplifier.
