Claims
- 1. An electrical exposure time control device for a camera having a slit shutter controlled by an electromagnet, comprising:
- (a) first timing means for forming a given time interval equal to a desired exposure time but forming an exposure time in the shutter different from the desired exposure time;
- (b) second timing means for forming a compensation time interval;
- (c) means for maintaining the opening of said shutter for a total time equal to the sum of the given time interval and the compensation time interval so that the shutter is opened for the desired exposure time; and
- (d) control means for shortening the given time interval formed by the first timing means by a predetermined time interval so that the given time interval formed is shorter than the desired exposure time.
- 2. An electrical exposure time control device according to claim 1, wherein said slit shutter includes a focal plane shutter having leading and trailing shutter curtains.
- 3. An electrical exposure time control device according to claim 1, wherein said second timing means includes:
- (a) a time constant circuit having a variable adjusting member which adjusts the compensation time interval;
- (b) means responsive to an initiation of the opening of the slit shutter and for rendering the time constant circuit effective; and
- (c) a comparator connected to the time constant circuit and for producing an electrical signal to render the first timing means effective when the output level of said time constant circuit has reached a predetermined level.
- 4. An electrical exposure time control device for a camera having a slit shutter controlled by an electro-magnet, comprising:
- (a) first timing means for forming a given time interval equal to a desired exposure time but producing an actual exposure time shorter than the desired exposure time;
- (b) second timing means for forming a compensation time interval related to structural characteristics of the slit shutter; and
- (c) maintaining means for maintaining the opening of said shutter for the sum total time interval of the given time interval and the compensation time interval in a manner such that the slit shutter is opened for the desired exposure time.
- 5. An electrical exposure time control device according to claim 4, wherein said maintaining means includes the electro-magnet.
- 6. An electrical exposure time control device according to claim 5, wherein the electro-magnet is connected to the output of the first time forming means.
- 7. An electrical exposure time control device for a camera having a slit shutter comprising:
- (a) first timing means for forming a given time interval equal to a desired exposure time but producing an actual exposure time shorter than the desired exposure time;
- (b) second timing means for forming a compensation time interval related to structural characteristics of the slit shutter;
- (c) an electromagnet having a given delay for controlling the slit shutter;
- (d) maintaining means including said electromagnet and responding to said first and second timing means for maintaining the opening of said shutter for the sum total time interval of the given time interval and the compensation time interval in a manner such that the slit shutter is opened for the desired exposure time.
- 8. A device as in claim 4, wherein:
- (d) said timing means includes a main counter for dividing an input frequency;
- (e) said maintaining means includes a settable counter settable by said second timing means for counting the set number of pulses of the divided frequency of said main counter, and detecting means response for said settable counter for producing an exposure termination signal.
- 9. A device as in claim 4, wherein:
- said second timing means includes data concerning the overlay of leading and trailing shutter curtains in a focal plane shutter.
