Claims
- 1. A Bacillus subtilis plasmid vector for expressing heterologous genes which code for proteins of interest comprising: (1) CAT, a gene which codes for resistance to chloramphenicol; (2) Bacillus subtilis neutral protease promoter (3) Bacillus subtilis neutral protease ribosome binding site; and immediately downstream from said ribosome binding site; (4a) an Eco RI restriction site; and 4(b) a pUC.sub.12 multiple cloning site.
- 2. A plasmid vector according to claim 1, deposited as Bacillus subtilis SMS 118 (pSM 308) ATCC 68047.
- 3. A plasmid vector according to claim 1, further comprising a Bacillus subtilis serine protease signal sequence operatively linked to the heterologous gene.
- 4. A Bacillus subtilis transformed with the plasmid vector of claim 1.
- 5. A Bacillus subtilis transformed with the plasmid vector of claim 2.
- 6. A Bacillus subtilis transformed with the plasmid vector of claim 3.
