Eyelash Brush Device

Abstract
The present invention relates generally to the field of mascara applicators. More specifically, the present invention relates to a mascara brush device. The device is primarily comprised of a body further comprised of a base and a main cap, wherein the main cap is further comprised of a secondary cap. The main cap is further comprised of a mascara brush that can be used to apply mascara to a user. In addition, the main cap is comprised of a secondary cap, wherein the secondary cap is comprised of a removal tool that can be used to easily remove mascara. The tool may further be infused with or can be dipped in a makeup-removing compound that can be stored within the secondary cap. Further, the secondary cap can be secured to the main cap via threads when not in use.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of mascara applicators. More specifically, the present invention relates to a mascara brush device. The device is primarily comprised of a body further comprised of a base and a main cap, wherein the main cap is further comprised of a secondary cap. The main cap is further comprised of a mascara brush that can be used to apply mascara to one's eyelashes. In addition, the main cap is comprised of a secondary cap, wherein the secondary cap is comprised of a removal tool that can be used to easily remove mascara. The tool may further be infused with or can be dipped in a makeup-removing compound that can be stored within the secondary cap. Further, the secondary cap can be secured to the main cap via threads when not in use. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices and methods of manufacture.


BACKGROUND

Makeup application is a primary component of many women's daily life. As such, simple and effective makeup application is critically important to user satisfaction. Currently, users face unique challenges related to the application of mascara, as existing mascara applicators are prone to smearing and accidental spotting on small locations such as the bridge of the nose or eyelids of the user. Accidental spotting can be especially problematic, as a common sequence of makeup application first includes the application of eyeshadow and/or eyeliner, which a user would have to remove completely to correct the mistake in the event of accidental spotting with mascara. However, in order to correct the mistake, a user must possess some makeup-removing device or towelette at the time of the mistake. Further, eyeshadow and eyeliner removal can be time-consuming, tedious and frustrating without a makeup-removing device. Even without pre-applied eyeshadow and/or eyeliner, the removal of the mascara itself is difficult without the aid of a makeup-removing device, and can often leave a user with a dissatisfied, messy appearance.


Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an improved mascara brush device. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a mascara brush device that contains a makeup-removing tool to correct unforeseen makeup application mistakes. Further, there exists a long-felt in the art of a mascara brush device that not only contains its own makeup removal feature, but is also designed in such a way that the makeup removal feature is compact and concealable, such that it does not add bulkiness and is not an hindrance to the mascara tube and subsequently application of the mascara itself. There also exists a long-felt need in the art of a mascara brush device that has an effective makeup removal feature that ensures more precise makeup removal that does not relying upon former, messier methods of makeup removal, such as a paper towel, a finger or a cotton swab.


The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a mascara brush device. The device is primarily comprised of a body further comprised of a base and a main cap, wherein the main cap has a secondary cap. The main cap is further comprised of a mascara brush that can be used to apply mascara to a user. In addition, the main cap is comprised of a secondary cap, wherein the secondary cap is comprised of a removal tool that can be used to easily remove mascara. The tool may further be infused with or can be dipped in a makeup-removing compound that can be stored within the secondary cap. Additionally, the secondary cap can be secured to the main cap via threads when not in use.


In this manner, the mascara brush device of the present invention accomplishes all of the forgoing objectives and provides an improved mascara brush that allows a user to easily and conveniently remove mascara/makeup in the event of accidental or misplaced makeup application. Further, the device provides a means to effectively remove makeup that ensures more precise makeup removal that does not relying upon former, messier methods of makeup removal such as a paper towel, a finger or a cotton swab. Finally, the device retains the full functionality of a mascara brush while still providing the additional makeup-removing features.


SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.


The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a mascara brush device that allows a user to remove any unwanted or accidental makeup or mascara. The device is primarily comprised of a body further comprised of a base and a main cap, wherein the main cap is further comprised of a secondary cap. The base is preferably cylindrical in shape and hollow, such that it can store a mascara brush. The top surface of the base is further comprised of a plurality of male threads which engage a plurality of female threads on the bottom surface of the main cap. As a result, the main cap can be screwed to the base when the mascara brush is not in use. When attached to the base, the main cap rests upon a stop that may be made from rubber, silicon, or any other such material. The top surface of the main cap is further comprised of a plurality of male threads which allow the cap to be screwed to a plurality of female threads on the secondary cap such that both caps function and appear as one singular cap when the device is not in use.


The top surface of the main cap is further comprised of a mascara-removal tool that may be bristled (e.g. has a bristled tip) or is made of a soft, angled tip that may be comprised of a plastic material. The tool may further be infused with a makeup-removing compound to allow a user to easily use the tool to remove mascara/makeup from the user's face as needed. The secondary cap may also contain a semi-continuous opening that has a plurality of female threads which secure to the male threads of the top surface of the main cap. The opening may further contain a makeup removing compound to allow a user to dip the tool into the compound during use.


Accordingly, the mascara brush device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it allows a user to easily and conveniently remove makeup in the event of accidental or misplaced makeup application. Further, the device provides a mean to effectively remove mascara/makeup that ensures more precise makeup removal that does not relying upon former, messier methods of makeup removal such as a paper towel, a finger or a cotton swab. Finally, the device retains the full functionality of a mascara brush while still providing the additional makeup removing features.


To the accomplishment of the foregoing and related ends, certain illustrative aspects of the disclosed innovation are described herein in connection with the following description and the annexed drawings. These aspects are indicative, however, of but a few of the various ways in which the principles disclosed herein can be employed and are intended to include all such aspects and their equivalents. Other advantages and novel features will become apparent from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.


As noted above, there is a long-felt need in the art for an improved mascara brush device. Specifically, there exists a long felt need in the art for an improved mascara brush device that contains a makeup-removal feature in the event of an unforeseen mistake in mascara/makeup application. Further, there exists a long felt need in the art for an improved mascara brush device that contains a compact and concealable makeup removal feature that effectively and precisely performs the job of removing accidental mascara application, so as to not disturb the rest of the pre-existing makeup should there be any present.


The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a mascara brush device that allows a user to remove any unwanted or accidental makeup or mascara. The device is primarily comprised of a body further comprised of a base and a main cap, wherein the main cap has a secondary cap. The base is preferably cylindrical in shape and hollow, such that it can store a mascara brush, wherein the top surface of the base is further comprised of a plurality of male threads which engage a plurality of female threads on the bottom surface of the main cap. As a result, the main cap can be screwed to the body when the mascara brush is not in use. When attached to the body, the main cap rests upon a stop that may be made from rubber, silicon or any other such material. The top surface of the main cap is further comprised of a plurality of male threads which allow the cap to be screwed to a plurality of female threads on the secondary cap, such that both caps function and appear as one singular cap when the device is not in use.


The top surface of the main cap is further comprised of a mascara-removal tool that may be bristled (e.g. has a bristled tip) or is made of a soft, angled tip that may be comprised of a plastic material, wherein the tool may further be infused with a makeup-removing compound to allow a user to easily use the tool to remove mascara from the user's face as needed. The secondary cap may also contain a semi-continuous opening that has a plurality of female threads which secure to the male threads of the top surface of the main cap, wherein the opening may further contain a makeup removing compound to allow a user to dip the tool into the compound during use.

Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a mascara brush device 100 of the present invention in a closed position in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is primarily comprised of a body 110 further comprised of a base 120 and a main cap 130, wherein the main cap 130 is further comprised of a secondary cap 140. The base 120 has a flat bottom surface 126 and is preferably cylindrical in shape, but may also be other shapes known in the art such as but not limited to: triangular, rectangular, hexagonal or any other such three-dimensional shape fit enough to contain a mascara brush 1342. The side surface 124 of the base 120 may have indicia 1240 in the form of but not limited to: patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letters, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, etc. The base 120 may further be comprised of a durable metal such as but not limited to, stainless steel or aluminum or a durable plastic, such as but not limited to: acrylic, polycarbonate, polyethylene, thermoplastic, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, low density polyethylene, medium density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polylactic acid, acetal, nylon, fiberglass, etc.


The top surface 122 of the base 120 is further comprised of a protrusion 1220 that has a plurality of male threads 1222 which engage a plurality of female threads 1340 on the bottom surface 134 of the main cap 130. In this manner, the main cap 130 can be screwed to the base 120 when the mascara brush 1342 (that attaches to the cap 130 via a stem 1344) is not in use. Further, the base 120 is preferably hollow, and is comprised of a continuous opening 1224 such the base 120 can receive the mascara brush 1342 and can also store mascara within the base 120 to saturate the brush 1342 as needed for makeup application. When attached to the base 120, the main cap 130 rests upon a stop 1242 that may be made from rubber, silicon or any other such material.



FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a mascara brush device 100 of the present invention in an open position with the main cap 130 and secondary cap 140 together in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The top surface 132 of the main cap 130 is further comprised of a plurality of male threads 1322 which allows the cap 130 to be screwed to a plurality of female threads 144 on the secondary cap 140. In this manner, the caps 130, 140 function and appear as one singular cap when the device 100 is not in use.



FIG. 3 illustrates a perspective view of one potential embodiment of a mascara brush device 100 of the present invention in an open position with the main cap 130 and secondary cap 140 separated in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The top surface 132 of the main cap 130 is further comprised of a mascara-removal tool 1320. In differing embodiments, the tool 1320 may be bristled (e.g. has a bristled tip) or may be made of a soft, angled tip that may be comprised of a plastic material listed supra. The tool 1320 may further be infused with a makeup-removing compound to allow a user to easily use the tool 1320 to remove mascara from the user's face as needed. The secondary cap 140 may also contain a semi-continuous opening 142 that has a plurality of female threads 144 which secure to the male threads 1322 of the top surface 132 of the main cap 130. The opening 142 may further contain a makeup-removing compound to allow a user to dip the tool 1320 into the compound during use.


Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different persons may refer to the same feature or component by different names. This document does not intend to distinguish between components or features that differ in name but not structure or function. As used herein “mascara brush device” and “device” are interchangeable and refer to mascara brush device 100 of the present invention.


Notwithstanding the forgoing, the mascara brush device 100 of the present invention and its various components can be of any suitable size and configuration as is known in the art without affecting the overall concept of the invention, provided that they accomplish the above-stated objectives. One of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the size, configuration and material of the mascara brush device 100 as shown in the FIGS. are for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the mascara brush device 100 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. Although the dimensions of the mascara brush device 100 are important design parameters for user convenience, the mascara brush device 100 may be of any size, shape and/or configuration that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that suits the user's needs and/or preferences.


Various modifications and additions can be made to the exemplary embodiments discussed without departing from the scope of the present invention. While the embodiments described above refer to particular features, the scope of this invention also includes embodiments having different combinations of features, and embodiments that do not include all of the described features. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations as fall within the scope of the claims, together with all equivalents thereof.

Claims
  • 1. An eyelash brush device comprising: a base;a main cap comprised of a brush; anda secondary cap that attaches to the main cap, wherein the secondary cap is further comprised of a makeup removal tool.
  • 2. The eyelash brush device of claim 1, wherein the main cap and the secondary cap attach to one another via a plurality of male and a plurality of female threads.
  • 3. The eyelash brush device of claim 1, wherein the main cap attaches to the base via a plurality of male and a plurality of female threads.
  • 4. The eyelash brush device of claim 1, wherein the brush is stored in the base.
  • 5. The eyelash brush device of claim 1, wherein the brush can be used to apply a makeup and the makeup removal tool can be used to remove the makeup.
  • 6. An eyelash brush device comprising: a hollow base, wherein a top surface of the base is comprised of a plurality of male threads and a continuous opening;a main cap comprised of a brush, wherein a top surface of the main cap is comprised of a plurality of male threads and a bottom surface of the main cap is comprised of a plurality of female threads; anda secondary cap that attaches to the main cap, wherein the secondary cap is further comprised of a makeup removal tool, a semi-continuous opening, and a plurality of female threads.
  • 7. The eyelash brush device of claim 6, wherein the brush can be used to apply a makeup and the makeup removal tool can be used to remove the makeup.
  • 8. The eyelash brush device of claim 6, wherein the makeup removal tool is infused with a makeup removing compound.
  • 9. The eyelash brush device of claim 6, wherein the semi-continuous opening contains a makeup removing compound such that the makeup removal tool can be dipped in the makeup removing compound.
  • 10. An eyelash brush device comprising: a hollow base comprised of a stop, wherein a top surface of the base is comprised of a plurality of male threads and a continuous opening;a main cap comprised of a brush, wherein a top surface of the main cap is comprised of a plurality of male threads and a bottom surface of the main cap is comprised of a plurality of female threads; anda secondary cap that attaches to the main cap, wherein the secondary cap is further comprised of a makeup removal tool, a semi-continuous opening, and a plurality of female threads.
  • 11. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the plurality of female threads of the main cap can be secured to the plurality of male threads of the base such that the main cap can be secured to the base.
  • 12. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the plurality of female threads of the secondary cap can be secured to the plurality of male threads of the main cap such that the secondary cap can be secured to the main cap.
  • 13. The eyelash brush device of claim 12, wherein the main cap and the secondary cap function and appear as a singular cap when not in use.
  • 14. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the continuous opening receives the brush within the hollow base.
  • 15. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the makeup removal tool is bristled.
  • 16. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the makeup removal tool is comprised of an angled tip.
  • 17. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the makeup removal tool is infused with a makeup removing compound.
  • 18. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the semi-continuous opening contains a makeup removing compound such that the makeup removal tool can be dipped in the compound.
  • 19. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein a side surface of the base may have a plurality of indicia in the form of a pattern, a logo, an emblem, an image, a symbol, a design, a letter, a word, a character, an animal, an advertisement or a brand.
  • 20. The eyelash brush device of claim 10, wherein the base is cylindrical in shape.
