Eyelash Case Having Transparent Eyelash-Receiving Portion

Abstract

An eyelash case is adapted for containing a plurality of false eyelashes, and includes a case body and a handle plate. The case body includes abase and a cover plate that is disposed above the base and that is connected to the base to define an accommodating space therebetween. Each of the base and the cover plate has a transparent region. The transparent regions of the base and the cover plate are aligned with each other, and are adapted to permit the false eyelashes to be positioned therebetween. The handle plate is connected to the case body, and is misaligned from the transparent regions of the base and the cover plate.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application claims priority of Taiwanese Application No. 101139071, filed on Oct. 23, 2012.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a package container, and more particularly to an eyelash case having a transparent portion for receiving a plurality of false eyelashes.

2. Description of the Related Art

Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional eyelash case 1 is used for containing a plurality of false eyelashes 10, and includes a base 11, a transparent cover 12, and an eyelash-positioning seat 13. The base 11 is opaque. The cover 12 is used for covering the base 11, and cooperates with the base 11 to define an accommodating space 14. The false eyelashes 10 are placed in the accommodating space 14, and are secured onto a top surface of the eyelash-positioning seat 13. An outer surface of the eyelash-positioning seat 13 is typically white so as to allow consumers to see clearly the structures of the false eyelashes 10.

When selecting the false eyelashes 10, consumers or buyers can make a decision based on only their visible structures. A problem is encountered by the conventional eyelash case. That is, when the selected eyelashes 10 are taken out of the conventional eyelash case 1 to be adhered to the eyelids, they may be dissatisfactory.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The object of this invention is to provide an eyelash case that is configured to allow consumers to realize whether or not false eyelashes contained in the eyelash case are needed thereby without taking the false eyelashes out of the eyelash case.

According to this invention, an eyelash case is adapted for containing a plurality of false eyelashes, and includes a case body and a handle plate. The case body includes a base and a cover plate that is disposed above the base and that is connected to the base to define an accommodating space therebetween. Each of the base and the cover plate has a transparent region. The transparent regions of the base and the cover plate are aligned with each other, and are adapted to permit the false eyelashes to be positioned therebetween. The handle plate is connected to the case body, and is misaligned from the transparent regions of the base and the cover plate.

As such, a user disposed in front of a mirror can move the eyelash case to a position whereat the false eyelashes are adjacent to and aligned with her eyelids, respectively, so as to realize whether or not the false eyelashes are needed thereby. Consequently, to select the false eyelashes, it is not necessary to take the false eyelashes out of the eyelash case.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Before the present invention is described in greater detail in connection with the preferred embodiments, it should be noted that similar elements and structures are designated by like reference numerals throughout the entire disclosure.

Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the first preferred embodiment of an eyelash case according to this invention is used for containing a plurality of false eyelashes 4, and includes a case body 2 and a handle plate 3.

The case body 2 includes a base 21 and a cover plate 22 that is disposed above the base 21 and that is connected to the base 21 to define an accommodating space 24 therebetween. Each of the base 21 and the cover plate 22 has a transparent region 210, 220. The transparent regions 210, 220 of the base 21 and the cover plate 22 are aligned with each other, and cooperate to constitute a transparent portion 20 of the case body 2. The false eyelashes 4 are disposed in the accommodating space 24 between the transparent regions 210, 220 of the base 21 and the cover plate 22, and are spaced apart from each other.

The handle plate 3 is connected to the case body 2, is misaligned from the transport portion 20 of the case body 2, and is made of a non-transparent material. Preferably, the handle plate 3 is made of a translucent plastic material. Alternatively, the handle plate 3 is made of an opaque plastic material or paper. If desired, advertising information may be printed on a top or bottom surface of the handle plate 3.

The case body 2 has a retaining side portion 23 for retaining the handle plate 3 thereon. The cover plate 22 further has a retaining groove 221 formed in a bottom surface thereof and having an enlarged top end 221′. The base 21 further has a retaining post 211 extending upwardly from a top surface thereof and having a top end 211′ extending into the enlarged top end 221′ of the retaining groove 221 in the cover plate 22. The handle plate 3 is clamped between the base 21 and the cover plate 22 at a portion thereof aligned with the retaining post 211 and the retaining groove 221, so that the base 21, the cover plate 22, and the handle plate 3 are removable forcibly from each other. As such, the false eyelashes 4 can be removed easily from the accommodating space 23.

When the false eyelashes 4 are to be selected by a buyer, a handle portion 31 of the handle plate 3 is held with one hand, and the case body 2 is moved to a position between a mirror 6 and the eyelids 5 (only one is shown) of the buyer. At this time, the buyer can realize from images in the mirror 6 whether or not the false eyelashes 4 match her eyes. In this manner, the buyer can select quickly the eyelashes 4 needed thereby without taking the same out of the case body 2.

FIGS. 4 and 5 show the second preferred embodiment of an eyelash case according to this invention, which differs from the first preferred embodiment in the following.

In this embodiment, the cover plate 22 has two opposite upright side walls 22′ (see FIG. 6), and two spaced-apart flanges 222 extending respectively from bottom ends of the side walls 22′ toward each other and cooperating with the base 21 to define two guide slots 25 each disposed between the base 21 and the corresponding flange 222.

The handle plate 3 has two opposite sides extending respectively and movably into the guide slots 25, so as to allow the handle plate 3 to be moved on a bottom surface of the base 21 between a used position shown in FIGS. 4, 5, and 6 and a stored position. In the used position, the handle plate 3 is misaligned from the transparent portion 30. In the stored position, the handle plate 3 is aligned with the transparent portion 20. When the handle plate 3 is moved from the used position to the stored position, the length of the eyelash case is reduced.

The handle plate 3 has an outer end 3′ (see FIG. 6) disposed outwardly of the case body 2, and an inner end 3″ (see FIG. 6) opposite to the outer end 3′ and movable in the guide slots 25. The outer end 3′ is formed with an upright stop wall 34 (see FIG. 5), and is movable to contact the flanges 222 so as to prevent the upper end 3′ from moving into the guide slots 25. The inner end 3″ extends into an end 251 (see FIG. 4) of each of the guide slots 25, and is formed with two stop members 33 disposed respectively and movably in the guide slots 25.

Each of the flanges 222 is formed with a stop member 224 that is disposed at the end 251 of the corresponding guide slot 25 and that is movable to contact the corresponding stop member 33 of the handle plate 3, so as to prevent removal of the handle plate 3 from the case body 2 via the ends 251 of the guide slots 25.

With particular reference to FIG. 6, when a buyer is desired to realize whether or not the eyelashes 4 match her eyes, she stands in front of a mirror 6, holds the handle plate 3 such that the handle plate 3 is disposed at the used position, and moves the case body 2 to a position aligned with her eyelids 5. Hence, in the mirror 6, the images of the false eyelashes 4 can be located immediately above those of the eyelids 5 of the buyer, so that the buyer can realize whether the eyelashes 4 are needed thereby.

When the handle plate 3 is disposed at the stored position, the space occupied thereby in a shop or a transport tool can be reduced largely.

With this invention thus explained, it is apparent that numerous modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope and spirit of this invention. It is therefore intended that this invention be limited only as indicated by the appended claims.

Claims

1. An eyelash case adapted for containing a plurality of false eyelashes, said eyelash case comprising: a case body including a base and a cover plate that is disposed above said base and that is connected to said base to define an accommodating space therebetween, each of said base and said cover plate having a transparent region, said transparent regions of said base and said cover plate being aligned with each other and being adapted to permit the false eyelashes to be positioned therebetween; anda handle plate connected to said case body and misaligned from said transparent regions of said base and said cover plate.

2. The eyelash case as claimed in claim 1, wherein said handle plate is made of a non-transparent material.

The eyelash case as claimed in claim 2, wherein said case body has a retaining side portion for retaining said handle plate thereon, said cover plate further having a bottom surface and a retaining groove that is formed in said bottom surface of said cover plate and that has an enlarged top end, said base further having a top surface and a retaining post that extends upwardly from said top surface of said base and that has an enlarged top end extending into said enlarge top end of said retaining groove in said cover plate, said handle plate being clamped between said base and said cover plate at a portion thereof aligned with said retaining post and said retaining groove, so that said base, said cover plate, and said handle plate are removably forcibly from each other.

The eyelash case as claimed in claim 2, wherein said cover plate further has two opposite upright side walls, and two spaced-apart flanges extending respectively from bottom ends of said side walls toward each other and cooperating with said base to define two guide slots each disposed between said base and a respective one of said flanges, said handle plate having two opposite sides extending respectively and movably into said guide slots, such that said handle plate can be moved along said guide slots to a position aligned with said transparent regions of said base and said cover plate so as to reduce the length of said eyelash case.

The eyelash case as claimed in claim 4, wherein said handle plate has an outer end disposed outwardly of said case body, and an inner end opposite to said outer end and movable in said guide slots, said outer end being formed with an upright stop wall and being movable to contact said flanges so as to prevent said outer end from moving into said guide slots, said inner end extending into an end of each of said guide slots and being formed with two stop members disposed respectively and movably in said guide slots, each of said flanges being formed with a stop member that is disposed at said end of a corresponding one of said guide slots and that is movable to contact a corresponding one of said stop members of said handle plate, so as to prevent removal of said handle plate from said case body via said ends of said guide slots.

6. The eyelash case as claimed in claim 2, wherein said handle plate is made of a translucent material.

7. The eyelash case as claimed in claim 2, wherein said handle plate is made of an opaque material.
